Because I'm scared of breaking things.

i fell for the arch meme faster than i could fall for this shitty one

>inb4 ssl certifications images
I have nothing to gain by switching from debian stretch to manjaro.
You didn't tell us why we should switch. Do that and maybe we'll consider your post.

I don't want to.

User friendly
Easy installation
All arch advantages
Fast
Good desktop environment
Everything you could wish from a linux distro, from beginner to advanced

Because I use arch

It's just Arch with extra added bullshit

Because Arch is diarrhea and Manjaro is diarrhea coming out the end of the Loonix centipede

...

...

...

Because people are not retarded iToddlers

...

>not using atergos

>actually using my computer instead of digging hundreds of config files to do something macOS has out of the box makes me retarded
ok, kid.

Because I want the official Arch repos.

>manjaro
>man

...

...

Because I'm not too chicken shit to install Arch.

Because installing arch is fun.

What exactly are Arch's advantages?

A really nice implementation of kde.

>rolling release
>abs
>choosing what packages you want to install rather than what you're told to install

>implying I don't
After trying Ubuntu many times, using Manjaro once convinced me.

Because I don't want to change the clock of my pc.

...

Typicall iToddlers' viewpoint

how do you put acestream on manjaro? i want to watch monday night football tonight

also love mpv because you can drag and drop .m3u8 links into it

Which flavor should I use?

>Linux
>no Cubase
>no Logic
>no Studio One
>no ProTools
>no plugins
lel..

>implying your music isn't absolute shit anyway

I'm not a musician anyway. I'm in Post-Production..

>Tell me why you don't install arch for retards

Because I already have Antergos set up

manjaro
best

lol good luck with that shit gpu

>implying i play games

>implying that's all a gpu is used for

i don't do much graphic stuff apart from watching tv, and this is a laptop

I do though...
The logo and green color scheme made me jump from fedora.

...

lol wtf the logo is lame and the green is lamer

>leaving a distro because of the logo
you're joking right?

feels good

because I use Antergos

>gets surprised by autism
>on Sup Forums
hmmm

Btw why are Evo/lution and Architect broken now? What's the newest alternative for people who want to partition manually but graphically?

Because I use Gentoo.

I did install Manjaro. I'm using it on my memepad right now.

>Good desktop environment
You mean KDE, right?

Because Archlinux and Antergos here.

because

Because the developers are a bunch of incompetent twats

>i'm a manchild who only cares about video games

Fair

Becouse I have Gentoo on all my digital devices, including TV and microwave.

because it's shit and fucks up the clock amd pacman along with it

>i'm a manchild who only cares about freedumb and anime
Fair

>based on arch
>despite that, babby distro
>shitty name
>cringeworty logo
>i'm not tech iliterate

Pick one, faggot.

ugly name

Im using Antergos.
If it starts habitually breaking after some update ill probably just back up my data and reinstall it but I guess Ill also consider manjaro.

NixOS

But I have it installed and using it now

You called?

ok real talk though why are there *two* 'arch but easy' distros?
Why do we need *two*?

You wouldn't see less breakage, just breakage two weeks later than you would in Antergos.

One is made by krauts.

Its logo is shit, I can't use an OS if the screenfetch is ugly.

>1366x768
>8gb ram

Congratz, you spent more on ram than your pc is worth.

Because I need to use C# for a class this semester.

>What is mono

because arch already installed on every machine here.

i'm using osx desu senpai

>Antergos
Mexican trash that won't fix blatant bugs on their installer: github.com/Antergos/antergos-iso/issues/28

The dev's response:
>It works fine for me, so I can't fix it.

Fan-fucking-tastic. Fuck Antergos. Use Architect installer, ArchFI, Arch-everywhere, or even Manjaro (if you want more stability and hand-holding).

It is quite literally the Pajeet OS. Made by pajeets, named after pajeets.

the installer worked? rare

seriously. I always been a fan of antergos. but the installer fucked me other day. it's like a 50/50 with every ISO of theirs. And this has been happoening for years

>broken system after every update
You can spend at least 2 days fixing everything and it will liven up your NEET life.

Just use debian ffs.

You can still build packages in Debian. There is a Debian rolling release. That last point was actually incomprehensible. You sound like you've never used a distro besides Arch.

I like to use my OS for work, not just dicking around.

>no plugins
>operating system plugins
what does this even mean

He means instruments and effect plugins to be used inside a host for music production. He is a complete fucking clueless moron and incorrect.

...

>man pages
>why not 'they' pages?

>arch breaking you system after every update meme

never happened to me and i update daily

I don't use manjaro because I already installed arch personally, but it's something I might try if I ever need to reinstall on my desktop. How does it compare to something like debian testing or debian sid?

and?

this is a outdated meme and you know it

has anyone used arch-anywhere before? is it legit?

The only thing I've had break on me in the past 5 or 6 months of using arch is broadcom on my desktop. But that breaks on all GNU/Linux OS's.

On ubuntu, every time I ran a dist-upgrade for a major update, something broke. And I just find arch much more user-friendly than debian with more up to date packages, so I stick with it.

What's wrong with that?

What and? I run Windows

I'm smart enough to install Arch.

>Mexican
Pretty sure they're Spaniards.

This and I can't stand the way they theme everything in that nasty green color they choose. The forums are full of derps, too.

Debian Testing is nowhere near as stable as manjaro and debian's packages often come with a shitton of dependencies for no reason at all (coughgnome)

>never happened to me and i update daily
That's why. Try updating an arch installation 2 months later. The probability of one or mutliple things breaking is high enough

manjaro-xfce-16.08-i686.iso

felt like it was going to run like shit on my netbook when I booted into the live disc to take it for a spin

asus.com/us/Notebooks/Eee_PC_1000HA/

Is manjaro more stable than arch? I know it's several days behind in packages - that means it's more stable right?

I ran it on a eee-1005px (Atom N450) and it didnt run worse than lubuntu. Migrated to manjaro-i3 which works fine (these atom-cpus are shit anyway, you can't browse modern internet well on those)
