Does he actually think he's going to win? There was a mass recall on this device. How is it Samsungs fault the public is fucking stupid and continue to use defective hardware? This faggot deserved it for being a retard.

>inb4 Samsung apologist
No. Samsung fucked up huge with this but all these after the fact incidents aren't their fault.

Why don't you learn to READ? He's not using the Note 7

Was going to say the same thing, but read the article first

It was the S7 edge that exploded this time, not the note

Wew lad don't mind my autism then. How the fuck are people supposed to buy the S7 or the note now?

>The most common causes of catastrophic failure of LiPo batteries are crushing or a nail penetration of the cell
>construction worker
gee, i wonder what happened

What do you expect from a dumb monkey fuck construction worker. Probably too fucked up tweakin on meth to realize there was a recall.

>start new contract with iPhone 6s 128gb for 0 dollars.
>start new contract with S7 for 0 dollars
You know, I was leaning towards the S7 but I'm starting to not want a Samsung third degree branding on my face and/or leg.

I was looking at the S7 recently myself, but I guess I'll rather get the Oneplus 3 now

He probably rigged it to explode so he could get a settlement since the Edge wasnt a recalled model.

And be stuck with the worst display on any phone since like 2010?

>Warning: the bottom of this post includes graphic images.

Should I scroll down, Sup Forums?
I'm scared

Is it really that bad?

Face it, a lot of people aren't going to bother returning their phones, and it's still going to be Samsungs fault for selling them IEDs in the first place. This guy certainly has a case.

Its the same pic as OP. I honestly thought it was a tattoo at first desu.

All Li-ion battery models explode occasionally.
Even batteries they put in airplanes.

When you sell millions and millions of devices, at least some will explode.
They only do a recall when the percentage of exploding batteries is much higher than normal.

He probably had it in his pocket and slammed his leg on something crushing the phone. Any phone will explode if you crush/pierce the battery

friend of mine has one, the screen is perfectly fine

Go for the OP3, overall is a better phone than GS7.

Open the setting menu and set display calibration to RGB.

If I was manufacturer of any portable devices I'd seriously consider going back to NiCd or some other idiot safe(r) tech in the US market, or at least have the customers sign a EULA that goes over the usually common sense things like don't fucking crush the battery or it'll go boom and it's on them if they still do it

The story will cost Samsung 100x more than what they'll be offering this moron. They need to reassure their customers that their phones won't explode and cause serious damage to them. This will certainly hurt Samsung.

Still better than using Apple shit.

>The story will cost Samsung 100x more than what they'll be offering this moron.

Which is why the construction worker should have contacted Samsung directly and made an under the table deal, instead of selling out to a law Jew.

Maybe he did and Samsung told him to go fuck himself

get out of here stinky chinkys

the fire is the best part. the to[ic fumes that no one talks about are horrible. sure, burn my pants and singe my thigh, but don't let me breathe that shit in

Even if it was a note 7, is not his fault samshit is selling defective and dangerous shit to public, not all people sit all day in a tech anime forum faping to traps and desktop threads you giant faggot!

>1080p pentile

Fuck off oneplus gook vermin

Samsung stock is down 7% and lost approximately $19 BILLION

Typing this on a normal S7, no issues, the thing doesn't even heat up as much as my s5 used to

You're dumb. They issued a recall and alerted consumers to ship their phone back to Samsung. How is it their fault if they don't comply?

> feelio when I recommended an S7 edge to a friend
> he fucked up and bought the normal S7

I still feel bad and hope it won't catch on fire at the same time.

Good luck penetrating a phone while working with a nail. IN your POCKET nonetheless.

The edge is what blew up, read OPs article.

I'm going to assume he bumped/damaged the phone somehow in his pocket causing the battery to first expand (high pitch whistling as the gases as exhausted out) and then catch on fire.

I know.
That's why I have mixed feelings.
- It's not a model that exploded so far.
- It's still made recently, and part of the 'series'. Though, it's using a different battery (smaller than edge).

>Implying the massive dose of lithium doesn't keep you calm.

naw Samsung will float on a river of money it gets from EVO and Pro SSDs.

>naw Samsung will float on a river of money it gets from EVO and Pro SSDs.
Samsung Electrics might but Samsung Phones won't this year.
Seperate divisions of the same chaebol.

>pentile
Heh, sounds kind of like penis. Thanks for the laugh user.

Retard here
If the batteries are the issue, then why don't people just buy new batteries?

>then why don't people just buy new batteries?
Why did Samsung cut corners on the batteries in the first place?
There are going to be a few empty offices in Quality Control this month.

R u dum?
Nail guns will shoot shit through your skull

Samsung shot themselves in the foot by not offering removable batteries. It's kinda funny actually.

>paying for provider-locked devices
