>shitty fold out desk doesn't even look good
>It's the best desk, rite?
Try a L shaped glass desk, user. You'll fucking love it.
that's what i have for a desk right now, and it's uneven shit - but i love the giant workspace (i got a 6' one)
glass desks are a fucking meme lol
This picture is only from google, but its the exact model & colour that I have. Ikea, Malm. Its sturdy, large, didn't cost an arm and a leg and has a very nice side table thing which pulls in & out, which can be put on either side or left off entirely.
Great place to put my coffee/food when at the PC.
Forgot picture. Derp.
These are the best desks. Made with actual materials that aren't cheap as shit and they weigh a metric ton.
Wood ones are better, plastic doesn't have enough weight in it.
folding table master race
I'd love to propose the thinkpad of desks for Sup Forums. The LINNMON / ADILS Table setup. It's cheap, it's aesthetic, and it does the job. I've had mine for three years now.
$45.99 USD
>t1 poster
t2 is better btw
fight me
>buys folding table
>never does any table folding
are you retarded
Ikea L desk.
>Ikea
>under $50

That shit is going to break and get everywhere enjoy needing stitches just because you wanted to look like a hipster.
I don't know man. This shit looks kinda bad. Like something only a faggot who keeps shakespear on his desk would use.
It is man. I had to go to the store to find this thing then realized they had a pre assembled packages of it online. They legs might be separate but I remember paying about $50 for the desk and about $10 for all four legs.
I always thought about sharing it with Sup Forums and this thread reminded me of it. Cheers.
Does anyone know of a printer stand similar to this that won't collapse when you put a 37 lb laser printer and some paper on it?
>pic related Walmart max of like 15 to 30lbs
>L shaped
No.
How much user?
>you have a foldable plastic table with monitor arm mount
they are uneven tho even before the monitor mount i had a wobbly keyboard
ikea.com
£100 in UK money. I'd definitely say it has been worth it.
Like I say, very sturdy desk. Its currently holding a PC that's water-cooled (custom loop) and doesn't have even the slightest issue with that despite all the added weight (as well as stuff like my monitor, speakers, lamp and other bits).
When putting it together, you can tell that its well designed and won't fall apart under normal - or perhaps even unusually excessive strain.
buy a cheap one and remove the wheels maybe?
or buy a set of stronger wheels at home depot, like the ones for carts
I was thinking the particle board is going to crack to say nothing about the wheels.
Ikea also has solid wood tables, like the Ingo (aka 'memetable' since they're so popular for Maker workbenches)

>nice color
>nice surface
>sturdy as fuck, doesn't wobble
>smooth rounded edges so wrists don't get cut
>huge 80x160cm
here you go won't get a better desk for same money
I have that but this version
Nah. They sag in the middle when you put your PC on them. Having to tilt your head one way or the other is a pain.
...
I have two of them, the corner and the matching width side table.
$110 total.
Where are your drawers? Where do you put all your other computer stuff?
>inb4 I have no extra sata cables
nice roor but now you're gonna get a million and one DUDE WEED LMAO comments
Thinking of making a receptionist style desk from salvaged parts for the next room.
BTW a while back someone posted a Mac station with a desk with black pipe legs that seemed cool to make as well.
...
sup guise im planning on getting a desk but i dont know a good one, can someone recommend me one?
preferably on ebay
I now have one on the way.
I've been wanting a desk, just a simple one. You've shown me the light fellow user. Thank you. My current one is a rinky dinky poo in the loo level desk that would easily cause me carpet tunnel or wrist strain injury.
+1 for Ikea Malm desk but I like the one with drawers.
And here's mine in action
>OBEY sticker
Why do you live?
They are covering their camera. The sticker is hiding the fear.
>tfw middle of nowhere so i cant buy anything large without getting raped for shipping.
I guess my small writing desk i pulled off the curb and a dinner table are good enough. Better than the old af one i had with the sliding cover at least.
Best desk I EVER had was the floor 2bh. Felt like a Buddhist monk.
saw those in person
they suck
galant is 100x better
I have a giant ikea desk that was thrown out of my office. I wish it was the white version. It has an adjustable height but that's just a huge meme.
NO dont do anything pipe. pipe shit is only for stupid ass white people. the type of white person who shares the most garbage of ~interior design~ pics on pinterest while using the term awesomesauce to describe themselves. basically the type of white person who thinks mayo is too spicy

Buy this like I am going to.
I have a 63x31 1/2 " Bekant. Its a great desk if you have the room for it.
I want something like this. A large L desk for my 3 monitors plus stuff on the side.
Got this recently for $120
Really good simple desk
the malms are nice but they are tiny desks. If you are just running a single monitor and/or laptop setup it should be fine but for everything else you are going to feel real tight on space.
I don't see the rounded/corner version on their website. Do you remember if it's still called "Linnmon / Adils"?
Only right answer. I have the same with a cabinet on the side
Nice setup
jesus christ i didn't know Sup Forums is full of fucking normies. no bar to rest your legs on?!
okayish
Probably the Ikea electric sit/stand desk. Something like $500 for a desk that moves at the touch of a button. Amazing deal, given that older competition is in the $1000 - $5000 range.
>no bar to rest your legs on?!
Isn't really a problem people 5'10" and over have.
i'm 6' you manlet
>not having a godtier 2 meter desk
plebs
Bekant
>using the word normie
you are the normalfag here
>doesn't even look good
>Try a L shaped glass desk
>glass desk
bait detected
The "a" is a nice touch by the way. Its truly a art.
>FIRE FIRE , QUICK, TAKE OUT THE PC CAS... oh
Really depends on how you plan to use it, among other considerations.
Personally I would like a synthetic granite top with hidden drop outs for wires and small items. With a three very heavy duty under drawer, two of which pull diagonally out to act as desk extensions with enough depth that I can slide a small mess out of the way for when I am done brainstorming and entering my focus mode. The legs would be a puddle head stainless steel I-beam with cross wire bracing and hard rubber contacts, with minimal floor contact and rounded edging so I don't hurt my legs. This desk will has no vibrations given the damping, weight and strong materials, as I find wobbly desks to be VERY distracting. I estimate I could has this custom built to spec for around $4000, but given my space and money supply I'll just get something decent from IKEA for much less.
I have a closet with all that stuff, out of sight.
>Not the 6-foot folding version with a handle for easy carrying
FREDDE from Ikea is the answer
What chair mats do you guys use? I'm in need of a new one.
none because I'm fat and they always break
i have this desk, works pretty good for my needs.
this
>feelsbadman
i have a glass top desk for my computer desk. feels cool and modern :)
Here's my desk just got it and the chair now I get the good news the house is in foreclosure so might be my last month on the internet before I go have a life before I came to the Internet.
>poorly installed AC
>hackintosh
Can't have your pie and eat your cake to so pick one.
>decent setup
>ac in window
got an L-shaped galant i bought off some guy on craigslist.
a bit scuffed here and there, but it's big so that's fine.
price/quality wise I'd say Bekant desks from Ikea
I've tried the ultra cheap shit like this and it's total ass. you can topple it by bumping into it.
I have that, couldn't imagine using it as a desk, it's for board games and shit.
>glass desks lol
>enjoy your breaking desk
christ, what happens when you guys use glass cups, or like, plates. what are you doing with your mice and keyboards, fucking slamming your face into them and dropping anvils on them?
you know those commercials where the actor does something incredibly retarded to justify some stupid product? im seeing that shit right now. Sup Forums is sitting at a glass desk, hitting a walnut with a goddamn hammer RIGHT onto the glass, and he misses his target by around 2 and a half feet, and it shatters. the image goes grey, and Sup Forums looks up with a shocked, disappointed frown. then a fucking wooden desk spins into view and a bunch of bold text selling points show up. "wont shatter!" "you can pound nails into it!" "can be set on fire for warmth!"
I have this same desk. Bought it used off Craigslist for $60 and it was dam near brand new. Its pretty good.
tempered glass routinely shatters with the smallest nick or scratch. It's a result of the tempering.
>Computer on the floor
Should have got the 160cm x 80cm Bekant.
>smallest nick or scratch
yeah, its fucking glass. its not like a small nick or scratch is something you do with a fingernail. its GLASS. if you make a "small" nick or scratch, its because you hit it "pretty fucking hard". Whens the last time a drinking glass exploded because you "lightly" scratched it with your teeth. hell, whens the last time a drinking glass HIT your teeth?
if you can manage to drink without breaking either your fucking teeth or the glass, you can probably manage not to slam your face through your desk
seriously, you dont see people going "glass drinking glasses? lol enjoy your missing front teeth".
The best desk is the one you make yourself!
I can't afford tools
8 years master race...currently carrying triple 40inch 4k's without a whimper
That is a table not a desk
bad ass build, 5960x bro
thank you 5690x brother
I fell for the glass desk meme. Piece of heavy shit and is never ever clean.
I use the 6ft version of the picnic desk. I don't mind spending up to $500, but couldn't find any that are light and large enough.
Any recommendation?
I use an Ikea Borgsjo desk.
It is worse than AIDS.
