Not any more
>How feasible is Kali Linux for a beginner?
Kali is not for using as a daily OS. It's used for live ISO or under VMs.

I've used Kali as a daily OS on a laptop. It's just Debian with hacking tools.

Should not be the case

> How feasible is Kali Linux for a beginner?
If you are installing Kali, just install debian

Hi, thanks for your replies.

I'm new to linux, is it advisable to read a book on using the terminal etc or is that too optimistic and I should stick with the web?

How old are you and what is your occupation?

Nice try, NSA.
20, uni
Why are you interested in GNU/Linux?

Freedom, flexibility, learn more about how computers work and the internals through the terminal

>no
fucking cucks

OP, if you want to learn Linux the right way, install Arch
just read the wiki and you're fine

don't listen to the noobuntu lusers

Lol gnome

You may just want to figure out using the distro from a normal user's point of view. Then learn how to do everything that you do with a mouse with the terminal.

Its just like the comic

You do realise it's a bait, right? I bet 100bucks it's an autistic debqueen

Normal Ubuntu doesn't contain any spyware you fucking imbecile

Mfw OP becomes a l337 ScriptKiddie because all he knows how to do is use Kali tools

Didn't Ubuntu and Microsoft just team up or some shit?

Stopped being on by default with 16.04
That said both Unity and Gnome 3 are horrible screen space wasting resource hog DEs. Install Cinnamon.
