What TV does Sup Forums use?

What TV does Sup Forums use?

You guys have never steered me wrong before, and I'm in the market for a new television. All I'll be doing with it is streaming my desktop on to it, so I don't need any of this smart TV roku shit.

Thinkpad sitting on my coffee table

one of the last panasonic plasmas
I have yet to see something comparable in the sub $3000 range

wideangle distortion, m8
it's 50"

>plasma
topkek

I use a 48" RCA (as my monitor >:3c) that I picked up for $300. I can't believe people don't use massive flat screens instead of monitors more often, I could never go back.

plasma screens are super great until you leave it paused on gay porno for a while.

man that chick has some weird alien eyes.

if you get one from 2001 or so and never use pixel shift, yeah.
with the later ones that shit is automatic and intelligent enough to avoid any burn in

What's the best TV I can get for around $300?

Funai LF320FX4F

I've had a Panasonic 42" 1080p plasma since my dad bought a "new" 60" one recently.

>not having a special LED TV for your gay porno needs
amateur

i have a 46" samsung lcd 1080p that I got used for 50 dollars

bump

i went to a tv store and the samsung 4k curved hdr display literally looked like a window to look out of. it looked more real than i thought it ever could. i thought someone had made a mockup display until i saw the pictures moving. its beautiful. and it only costs £1500 or something like that. TVs got a lot cheaper nowadays, nothing in the store was more expensive.

Sony WEGA Trinitron CRT. It's the Thinkpad of TVs.

Since I'm not an American and not gramps I don't use a TV. I had some Samsung's plasma TV in 2006.

50'' UHD LED Samsung, it's apparently a smart tv as well but there's no point on using all those functions when my phone can do exactly the same shit but faster, it might not be a 4k TV though, or I just don't know how to use it, the max resolution my computer, ps4 and bluray can output with it is 1080p even though the box says otherwise, at least it does 60 fps/hz smoothly.

I only bought it because it had 3 USB and 3 HDMI ports, one av and one component, my old big ass bulb TV shat itself a month ago so I couldn't play vidya on it anymore.

Sup Forums uses old fishbowl tvs because it's edgier

Vizo P-65

I got the 2014 Samsung Plasma 60 inch. DESU I wish I would have waited like 3 more months and I could have gotten a Vizio 60in 4k for around the same price.

Fuck off, rich fags and hipsters.

I just need a solid poorfag TV for my studio apartment.

I'm tired of watching shit on my monitor and want to lounge in bed.

>TV

This one. Rate plz.

I have a 70" Vizio in the living room and the old Sony 46" in the bedroom.
Both nice TVs. All the smart shit works great on the Vizio and it's picture is really nice.
I'm avoiding the 4k stuff for now.

Bring your laptop in bed.

What's your budget, how far away will you be sitting from the display

I feel like you need a projector to properly go 4k at this point. The tv's are all too small.
Go be yuropoor somewhere else. Plasma's were objectively superior at everything except performance in bright light and power consumption.

Depends how close you sit. Regardless of pixels though, HDR is something you'll see no matter your sitting distance

Enjoy your burn-ins lol

>Plasma's were objectively superior at everything except performance in bright light and power consumption.
> were

in 2001. Dont forget the weight, you need twenty persons to carry your 50" plasma.

I'm not glad they're dead, but I'm glad they're gone.

>the weight
are you sure you know what a plasma is?

≈300. Willing to go over for worthwhile improvements. And I'll only be about 10 feet away.

This actually looks really good. Thanks, user.

I have a Vizio smart tv and it is the second-worst device I've ever owned. At least I got it for dirt cheap.
When I use it, about 1 in 3 times it will refuse to shut off. (Not a remote problem - other buttons work and the power button on the back of the TV also fails at the same time.)
The smart features are completely worthless and get in the way even if I don't want to use them.
It broadcasts an unsecured wifi network even though I've turned off every smart feature I could, I don't use an RF remote, and I haven't allowed it to connect to my actual network.
Recently, certain settings have stopped working: when I try to lower the brightness, it just rapidly switches between 99 and 100.

Had this, weighed a ton

Sony HX850 Series

I actually have this TV
pretty decent picture and the usb slot will play just about every video format including mkv.

i was going to be all ">smart >dropped" and shit, but mkv support actually sounds super convenient

I heard Vizio has some true 120Hz TVs, not of that fake bullshit. I don't think I even want UHD at this point, but I might give it a try as well.

LG Plasma 50"

Nigga, get a cheap $150 TV from Walmart if you don't care

>tfw watch my 4k monitor from my bed because I don't have a TV

>owning/watching a TV

Vizio M261VP 26" from 2011.

I got a nice samsung uhd/4k that has quantum dots whatever that is. Shit looks great in 4k hdr

>tfw watching anime on the TV from my bed
That being said, any good 1080p TVs out there that are decent for gaymes, i.e. less input lag and good refresh rates? I sometime play them on the bed or when I have little to no friends over.

THAT CHINAWOMAN IS GOING TO BE EATEN BY THAT MONSTROSITY

I use a basic 32 inch Samsung. It was 200 dollars at best buy. I'm thinking about upgrading but this one works well.

There's no such thing as a tv with decent input lag. You have to buy a big monitor.

You would think that more manufacturers would please gaymers in $CURRENT_YEAR with how big that shitty industry is. Then again, they can't get anything right except make local memes like 3D, HDR, effective refresh rate, smart bullshit, OLED, etc.

displaylag.com/display-database/

It's inherent to the SOC's in tvs.

A monitor assumes the math is being done by a device downstream and is designed accordingly.

sony xbr 850c. its 4k, nice thing though is the panel is 120hz, so you can shove 1080p at 120hz thru it for gaming.

50ST60 strictly for movies. Only bought it because below cost liquidation and last of Panasonics plasma generation stock in NZ.

Input is only 60Hz.

Had 29" CRT with WDTV however it died recently

Don't know what to get next. I don't really need any of that smartshit but need streaming and casting.

Will probably go with dumb 42" and xiaomi tv box thing.

Just like every current jewkikery-laden panel.

>select all images with street numbers
>Last panel shows a street number 14 times
Cuckgle plz.

Anyone fall for the OLED meme? I'd love for them to get cheaper so buy them goys.

Only when they reach plasma levels at the price plasmas were commanding.

The biggest issue is frame retention and not blinding people with blues.

a few of the 2015 and newer sonys can do 1080p @ 120hz, 850, 810 and i think the 830. its 120hz native, but if you display 4k your limited to 60 due to hdmi.

is hdr a meme?

i had a 50 inch plasma that weighs 135 pounds

Curtis Mathes floor console with built in turntable and 8-track. Seriously. Not hipster, just works.

my 51 inch plasma weighs about 60 pounds

Sony 40" android LED.

Yeah maybe 20 years ago.

not yet

Some bog standard Samsung HD LED 32" tv. It has excellent image quality though. It's like one of their higher end tv's but with all the extra processors and smart tv shit cut out and you're left with a high quality panel with amazing picture quality.

I use it as my pc monitor too since it has a pc mode. Because it doesn't have all that processing shit it's got really good response times like 5ms monitor or something.

>32" low-as-fuck DPI monitor
Gross.

this thing got it on sale for 528 with taxes
Hisense 55H7B 55" 4K Ultra HD 2160p 120Hz LED Smart HDTV

Sony Bravia.
Nigg

don't gibs glasses just gibs that puuuuuuussseeeeyyy

Sony Bravia. Running Android TV 5.1, update available to 6.0. If you want nougat on your TV, wait for 2017. All Sony TV introduced then will be running nougat, apart from the linux based ones.

Don't know. The lights are off and I can't see the branding.

120hz? is it real 120hz? like could u plug in ur pc and play 1440p120hz?

Man, i just bought a TV like yours. Bought it because I could stack a fat 400€ discount over it.

It's really nice

Philips 55 PUS6401

god bless 4K gaming and ambilight

user, you really need better speakers and peripherals. I had those Logitech speakers since they were pretty cheap, but a decent set of speakers really does make a difference.

Just get headphones. I'll never go back to gaymen with speakers again after owning a decent pair.

How sloppy wet do the hoes get when they walk in your room and see your Hot Wheels chair?

Oh, but I gayme with headphones. It's better when faced with games that benefit better hearing, tho the 5.1 setup I have does the job as well while sacrificing all the good things about a monitor.

>watching tv

>5.1 surround speakers clumped right in front of you

I have some kind of LG 32" TV I got years ago, because the previous TV I had blew out. It has a whole two HDMI inputs with one being on the side that doesn't even work properly.

I need money.

>>watching tv
>implying it's not for chinese cartoons and the occasional movie/series out there

Looking for 10bit hdr

Speakers are very old, probably 8 years or so. I know they are outadated as fuck but they still work and refuse to die.
Also, as this user said I usually use just some quality earbuds. I'm not that demanding in this regard, as long i hear clear sound.

works good for me
