What should I upgrade first?

What should I upgrade first?

dude what the fuck is wrong with your temperatures

So thermal paste, then?

OS.
Then fans.

its in fahrenheit
are they too high?

He's an ameritard

There's nothing worth upgrading senpai. Check back in another 2-3 years.

It's actually surprisingly cool. What heatsink are you using family member?

>seagate
>ST1000DM003

throw that shit in the garbage asap, speaking by personal experience

its fahrenheit lmao
they're gud

the thermal paste guy wasn't op

not sure what my heatsink is t.bh. how do I check?

what's wrong with it

>not sure what my heatsink is t.bh. how do I check?
You didn't assemble your own PC? Please leave Sup Forums and never come back.

literally failed on me after 2 years of moderate usage

6 months before that, it corrupted the OS so badly that I had to reinstall

I did I just don't remember

upgrade your operating system to Windows 7

duh my superior shit

yes that shit is hot 90-100 degrees is not normal, what environment is it set in, do you have an internal fan, or even a cold room.

Change the monitor with a 1440p or 1080p 144hz. If your gonna get 4k then get yourself a gtx 1070 or wait for the AMD RX 490x. Add a 8gb stick of ram and ssd and your golden for the next 2 year to 3 years

>What should I upgrade first?
Windows.
To linux.

it feels pretty cool if I put my hand on the case

here's the speedfan thing, I guess the gpu temp is pretty high

Add an ssd and youre all good

I have xubuntu dual booted

what harddrive do you recommend then

but I'm afraid that if I get a 144hz that if I can't even get the 120 fps then it isn't worth it

my father bought a pc with a WD blue for him, this was 4 years ago and it's still going strong

here's the temps with the witcher 3 running

ok thanks

SSD

how big of an ssd would I need

bump

hard drive to ssd

but a 1tb ssd is like $300

Not very. Probably 256GB if you keep your old hard drive for storage.

What's your budget?

You should upgrade your monitor and an SSD. Ideally, you'd be getting a 27" 1440p ips screen, but you'd need a better GPU for that. If that's too much, then grab a nice 24" 1080p screen. For ssds the samsung 850 evo is a good one.

So after a fresh install of win 10 my CPU temps get to like 80c + easily when playing any game and my USB devices like mouse and keyboard just turn off and then back on randomly.

Is my hardware dead or did I just fuck up somewhere with drivers or something?

WDs have almost double the fail rate of Seagate. This isn't 2012. Seagates high fail rates on drives from this time were caused by the earthquake and tsunami that hit their factory in Thailand.

why are you in this thread you're not op I'm op

I don't want anything that's over like $150-$200 because I'm also getting new headphones. what monitor would you reccomend?

How about nothing? I'm sure your shitbox is still just fine for idle media consumption.

>windows 10
Go back to Sup Forums or Reddit or something.

Your temperature units

>Farenheit
Kek

Your operating system

>le only children play vidya games maymay
>le only children use windows 10 maymay

>using literal malware
Microsoft has no shame anymore. Maybe you deserve to use Windows.

>only children play vidya maymay
You're right. So do manchildren.

Kill me next

Don't listen to temperature fags, downgrade OS to Win 8.1

Nobody sees the 798MHz RAM?
Is it only me, or this should be replaced by at least 1333MHz ones?

>not sure what my heatsink is t.bh. how do I check?

Fucking open it you twat

double data rate, idiot

Windows 7 is better

so what is the actual clock speed then?

...

Ghz
