Pic related is the Question of the Thread: how many times did Arch break your system?
Is Arch stable or DAMAGED?
damaged.
Also:
1, Do you use any kind of Arch installers?
Why (not)?
2, If yes, which one is your favourite (and why)?
>damaged.
Why?
>Use antergos instead of Manjaro.
this
I tried Manjaro and it was a disaster: slow, bloated and outdated.
Manjaro is a mess. Manjaro is a WASTE.
Manjaro needs to be shot, hanged, drawn and quartered. They took everything that's great about arch and buttfucked it with a king Kong dildo.
We will build a great distro and we will make Manjaro pay for that distro.
Mark my words.
You can describe it as "stable" and boring. The AUR is the same anyway.
Not an argument.
>You can describe it as "stable" and boring.
I can only talk about my experiences.
Manjaro was slow and buggy on my machine, while Antergos, for example, worked flawlessly.
Also Manjaro couldn't even handle simple installing procedures.
It broke many times.
>posting about a new Sup Forums project with a trump image, and talking about trump's wall
Is this the new form of shitposting?
They have their own repo. They promised to release security updates instantly, but i think they are still on the "waterfall" model no matter how important is the update. The installer works well for me.
So basically if Antergos is the Ubuntu of Arch, then Manjaro is its Linux Mint?
Close enough.
arch anywhere,
works mostly fine.
if you want to install LVM + LUKS you somehow need 5-6 tries until it werks.
Architect
Always and forever
>arch anywhere,
>Architect
Which one is better for beginners?
At what point is my system broken?
In the year I've been using Arch I haven't had to chroot to fix anything.
Though SDDM recently stopped working for some reason.
I never tried Arch anywhere, but if you did a minimal install on Debian f.ex., then the Architect installer should feel very similar.
If you are a beginner you should take an afternoon and install manually. You will end up learning a lot about your system. I use pic related as a rough guide whenever I need a new install for whatever reason.
Is this the most cuck distro there is?
Define "cuck".
How about Manjaro?
Arch's gonna freak!
Just one time. And SURPRISE! It was an nvidia driver issue. Debian, Fedora, and all other distros packaging official nvidia driver was affected.
>Arch's gonna freak!
I kek'd.
Fuck Nvidia.
Funny thing is, my laptop is so shitty that I've never encountered any graphic card related problems with it.
Sometimes the less is more.
