Offical guts thread

no guts. we need guts. post guts.

I just built this need to manage my cables better.

oh we has a guts bread!

Keep it real, anons. Keep it real.

What's wit the brown skin idols?

For all of you who like the refreshing blast of a cold white LEDs and a white case interior that looks like a fridge.

...

>What's wit the brown skin idols?
let's play spot the newfag

Been on Sup Forums since the beginning,, kiddo. Sorry I don't keep up with the latest dank meme..

>2013
>newfag

OK, actual gutz nao.

>Been on Sup Forums since the beginning,, kiddo.
Me too, yet you missed the buddhas.

Can we take a moment to appreciate the irony of a buddha in consumer technology?

t. not/never/never will be a buddhist

Shame on me.

Buddha absolves you.

>Can we take a moment to appreciate the irony of a buddha in consumer technology?
Buddha is in the part that is not consumer, but is technology.

this one, on the other hand, is all consumer.

this one is just bananas.

Forgot something, not sure what...

Just finished this compilation of computers I have under my desk.

...

I think you know what's missing in each, my friend...

...

What is it???

dude. liquid cooling.

...

liquid cooling + overclocking

king of all oldfag builds

I just couldn't even from the start.

im finna puke breh

and then there's this guy

>finna
Stop it!

Are those temp probes next to the hard drives?

Clever idea to store unused components inside the case.

no idea.
just a machine back from when water cooling was done with plumbing, aquarium supplies, and car parts. And if I'm not mistaken, that's a dual Athlon mobo.

Meh that comp seems to be from the early 2000s judging from the parts. There was a lot better options than that mess. I didn't mess with water cooling till around 03/04.

there's a fucking calendar on the wall, genius.

Well there you go...

lol mac

where's your dragon dildo collection?

that's actually pretty nice

>custom loop on cpu
>no loop on the crossfied gpus
u wut m8

Case?

Water cooling and a GTX 1070 in a 10L case.

GPU and CPU Idle at 25 C.
Full load at 65C GPU / 50C CPU.

silverstone sg05

Any tips to make these fan cables and the spare AC'97 fit more elegantly?

(Yes, I know I need to swap out the zip ties with reusable ties. Also my RAM is where it is because there was a weird issue a while back but I'll try putting the unit back on the rightmost slot later.)

Probably the last great Mac ever made. What a case, what a computer.

Are you fucking running 2 sticks of ram.. in single channel.. ON A SR-2??

You mother fucker.

Now with less 100% Noctuas®

ayyyyy

I don't know what is more cancer. The braided cable shit or the hardline water cooling shit. Both became popular around the same time.

What's wrong with sleeved cables, bruh?

>bruh
Pretty much sums it up.

Posting here because I think it's the most relevant thread.
I'm suspicious that my CPU temps are too high. I'm averaging 50 degrees across all 4 cores, idling. CPU is i7 3770 with stock cooler.
My 1070 idles at ~48 degrees which I assume is normal.
Should I look into better cooling? Thanks

...

>stock cooler
found your problem

You really gotta chill, man. Sleeved cables are a must if you want really clean guts.

What 1070?
My MSI idles at ~28º with the silent mode turned off.

Oh my fuck.

Can you please post full specs? And more pictures.

Thats amazing.

Gigabyte, not the xtreme one. 3 fans.
The default fan curve is set to activate on around 50 degrees and I find mine constantly switching on and off the fans

Turn the 0db mode off.
If I turn on the 0db mode, the fans on mine only start to run when it reaches 60º.
But since I have that shit turned off, they're always spinning at 36% and they're pretty much non audible. So even at heavy gaming, the card hardly reaches 55º.

They aren't a must for anything. If anything they've become a mark of someone that cares more about cosmetics than performance.

Sometimes I wish the giant PC cases of today didn't exist. Back when cable management was more cable origami. I'd be a lot more impressed if you cut all those wires to length instead of just throwing shoelaces on them.

Those rubbery PSU cables are ugly as fuck.
Plus it's not like I'm running a shitty PC, to not care about performance.

I don't really mind the noise that much but isn't it bad for the fans to be active all the time?

Just because you have parts doesn't mean they are running efficiently.

They always were on previous, before this 0db ultra silent mode fad became the norm.
It'll reduce the fans lifespan, but at least your card won't be cooking every single day.

What makes you think they aren't running efficiently?

>What makes you think they aren't running efficiently?
Why would I think someone who literally has shoelaces dangling in his machine knows how to operate and maintain it?

sperg-tier whining

Why are you guys even arguing about this?
It's a guts thread.

For one brief moment I took you serious.

Alright thanks!

I just don't like cancer.

At least the cancer of cathode tubes has died down.

>I don't like it therefore it is cancer and everyone is wrong

Pretty much if it checks most these it's probably cancer.

-not used in applications outside of PC "enthusiasts"
-involves cutting/drilling the PC case
-glows

Hotrodding is cancer

>high output engines modded and dropped into cars they aren't meant for
>dressing up your engine bay
>no one does this outside of car enthusiasts
>makes cunts wet and dicks hard

LEDs? Sure. Extensive case mods? Sure. But I can't see how sleeved cables are cancer, unless cancer is a catch-all term for aesthetic considerations.

Original hot rods were about going fast.
Specifically the individually sleeved cables
-zero need in application
-zero performance benefit
-negatives includes wasting space, possibly blocking air flow, and temperature issues.

here is my guts

>-zero need in application

So?

>-zero performance benefit

So?

>-negatives includes wasting space, possibly blocking air flow, and temperature issues.

That amounts to approximately .27% of a cunt hair.

Da fuck is wrong with cutting or drilling the case nigger?

If they dont make it how you need it for a good price, you fix it yourself.

Useless fuck.

stop responding to the autist he is clearly just 18 or even younger and doesnt know how to get along with anyone so he is lashing out

There's no benefit and added things to take into consideration.

Add the popularity of it and that's cancer in my book.

All I care about is price/performance

Is mounting hard drives in the bottom and/or in the optical slots particularly beneficial?

99% of the time the reason the case is being drilled is because the end user was an idiot and bought the wrong case.

no? why would it make a difference unless you super glued them next to the CPU?

I don't know. I just see it done a lot.

do your friends often seem to avoid your house?

Look you faggot, if I can spend $30 on a case and mod it for my needs, I whould consider you the idiot for paying $300 on "the right case".

usually because that is where the drive cages are in the case

jesus christ almighty stop replying to him he is literally only trying to keep you responding

And that would be great reasoning. Not sure where I said you should be buying $300 cases.
