What is the best antivirus software out there?
What is the best antivirus software out there?
common sense 2017
Obviously common sense is a great start ..
If you rly need an antivirus tho, kaspersky's pretty good imo, if you set it up right.
Linux
Malwarebytes + windows firewall, else ESET Smart Security.
I use comodo and it works fine
Common sense
iOS
your brain + malwarebytes
Common sense is usually good.
Else BitDefender + Malwarebytes + SandBoxie does the job.
Every single one of you who said common sense needs to leave Sup Forums forever. Not every exploit requires idiocy in your part. Do none of you tards remember the day that Window's kernel level font rendering was exploited, allowing your computer to be owned just from you looking at a web page? Your autistic chants of "common sense" can't save you from Window's desperate attempts to end its own life.
clamav
CUTE
Common sense would include using a proper OS.
install gentoo
Seconding eset/nod32
Gentoo
>Not every exploit requires idiocy in your part.
This is all anti-virus will realistically protect you against, and even then not very well. Anti-virus won't magically patch your buggy software.
Common sense. If you got windows the built-in antivirus isn't shit.
Avast Free. Tried and tested, kept my shit secured against infected thumb drives and malware from normalfags that exchanged data with me.
It detected malware in torrents and compressed files on several occasions. Windows 10 defender is quite good as well but you need malwarebytes to work with it for peace of mind.
Norton and Kaspersky. But if you have to check a file, use a lot of them at the same time, like in virustotal.com
Got your motherboard fried yet faggot?
Wear some condom on your head.
GlassWire
Kaspersky and Bitdefender
>norton
i thought norton was considered to be a shit tier antivirus?
Nope but after it has been discovered it can help stop the spread. If you just go unpatched and unprotected you're going to end up helping the virus more than yourself.
I love that haircut.
virustotal
Kek. If you're using an operating system that renders fonts at kernel level, you deserve all the viruses you get.
I'm with you there my man. And don't forget the scrollbars. They keep their scrollbar rendering code in the kernel as well. Gotta make sure those are responsive.
Kaspersky.
or just use linux or apple products. they don't AV shit.
I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.
Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU which is widely used today is often called Linux, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU Project.
There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use. Linux is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine's resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the so-called Linux distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux.
