To explain, on IRC I read, some guy found their private tracker is actually not so private as it uses http only.
Then xanax devs/admins came in and defended, saying their tracker is "redirecting to https", like its an obvious security fix.
The dude told them, there is nothing stopping someone from MITM the initial http and fuckin over their users, for whatever reason.
Then they claimed, their users should anyway enter "https" as announce url, and completely ignore whats given to copy-paste in their user interface.
REAL opsec would disable http and thats it. A private tracker running anything in cleartext? ffs, is this 2003?

I never bothered uploading new music as I knew I'd only get a 1:1 return for file size, as soon as timmy seedbox gets it, his connection is so much better than no one leeches from me. It's the exact opposite for me.
