Yes didn't like it.

i loved the old macbook pro but this was not what i wanted.

>burning money

If I didn't need to use USB A/B every singe fucking day I'd consider it. I can't fault anything other than the ports (and removing magsafe).

Sticking to my much loved '12 MBP for now.

It's pretty much the same thing over again. What is futuristic about it?

>beautiful
gentoo
>Anyone else has this
if i can install gentoo on it, sure ill get one

It is a tiny bit better performance wise
It has touch ID, and the touch could become good
The keys are pretty good, and actually made those old keycaps on the Macbook work on this.
The trackpad

Not gonna lie, OP, I'm jealous. I have a 2013 13" MacBook Pro.

wait a minute that screen

Exactly my thoughts

U-USB C!!
Even though by the time everything finally uses USBC the next macbook will use some new bullshit port nothing uses

Performance for such a price is awful other than SSD speed. CPU still bounces against a 100c full load thermals.

Touch ID on a laptop is... Eh, I dunno.

I've not had a chance to try the keys but i didn't like the keyboard on the older models. Not enough travel.

That trackpad is huge, definitely nice, but I pretty much always use a mouse.

USB C is crap on it, only works well with the Apple dongles, but gets rid of magsafe. :(

I got this instead. I wanted a proper keyboard

>The single most futuristic looking piece of technology I've ever held in my hands.
>pretty much looks like every other laptop

Macfags are this stupid. They get the same shit every year, while actual futuristic devices aren't being made

indiegogo.com/projects/dual-screen-tablet-pc--3#/

You should've gotten a proper camera instead

I don't get this meme

Thank fuck this didn't catch on. Sony already tried.

looks like a huge piece of shit. Why would anyone ever want to use a touchscreen instead of a keyboard for a laptop computer? Not only that, a second HD IPS panel would likely cost more than a proper backlit keyboard. Am I supposed to look down at my hands constantly due to lack of tactile feel?

gotta admit, not that a look at them both, this looks like a piece of garbage compared to the macbook

utter dogshit

Don't cry dry your eye familia

lmao that is avsoluetely fucking retarded.

nah it just doesn't look as sleek. it doesn't look like garbage.

...

...

I've held a Chromebook Pixel before, yes.

That's not Surface Pro.

it's truly GOAT laptop. how do u like touchbar?

Did you disable the trackpad while typing? How do you type on that thing without inadvertently clicking on that huge trackpad?

>backward-looking cucks

>Did you disable the trackpad while typing? How do you type on that thing without inadvertently clicking on that huge trackpad?
it has palm rejection (like tablets, wacom, etc). no need to disable anything.

Magsafe is alive and well

>That's not Surface Pro.
SP is cheap-looking garbage. MS still hasn't even figure out how to make a good trackpad.

>same design they used for 8 years
>futuristic
They just just go back to the first gen MacBook Pro design but make it out of titanium or magnesium this time around.

sorry, can't shitpost this anymore haha!

until you lose the end bit

˃thinking thinkpads look like shit

The utilitarian design is pure sex you faggot.

Chromebook Acer 14 plox

i'm sorry, it's not, just open you eyes, seriously

˃(you)

Oh shit nigga, so this was fake all along? I now have trust issues

Fucking terrible

Why is Apple such a fucking joke?

Because it isn't, confirmed fake >>

One is a desktop application, the other is an online form.

>not the 1st gen PowerBook G4

if you want a tablet, just buy a fucking tablet. Two screens is not cost effective nor can the user really focus on both displays simultaneously.

Disregarding the fact that this only worked on some poor custom shit, the type prediction was the first thing I disabled.

The Touchbar is most useful for scrubbing and features of lesser used programs. For your main shit, actual keyboard shortcuts are faster. But I don't mind it,.

>no escape key
>no function keys
>can't use USB and wifi at the same time
>Futuristic

Ok

I like the ThinkPad design. And it's overall a superior machine. I even have a 3 year warranty.

>t. mactoddler

I'm too poor but I wish I had one

> yes esc key

> yes function keys

>can use usb and wifi at the same time

inform yoself kid

Fake. Fuck off Tim Cuck.

>t. mactoddler

Just sad that that once anything of the internals is defective you just have a good looking paperweight because it is almost non repairable... Don't even think about upgrading either...

Wow, touch buttons? Looks like Macs still can't into multitasking.. rather regressive. What about the ones without touch bar?

>The single most futuristic looking piece of technology I've ever held in my hands.
you haven't held a lot of stuff in your hands if you are impressed by an oled strip with emojis on a fucking laptop.

THIS

g i m m i c k

>Anyone else "HAVE" this piece of shit

>emojibook

Future Apple keyboards will consist of a single piece of glass. That's right - we're all going to be typing on OLED keyboards in the future!

If you don't like the travel in the older models you'll hate this one. It's the same keyboard as the MacBook 12".

why not just take two ipads and duct tape them together?

Applel coping chinks yet again.

>Steam on a MacBook

>futuristic
>CPU is outdated at launch

Seriously? You don't fault the keyboard or the soldered SSD?

Or the crappy battery life?

Yours is better, then

Your futuristic piece of technology will break in five years, my ThinkPad will last for decades.

Magsafe was legit the best thing they ever invented

Mine hasn't shipped yet.

Needs more dongles

don't forget to install gentoo

You have inspired me not to upgrade by 2014 MacBook Pro with an SSD and RAM. Instead I'm going to get this beautiful feat of engineering.

touch screen xps13 running linux much prefered

Obviously this.

Upgrading oneself with tools is in human nature since homo habilis is a thing, so are consumption and would ideally be its (ultimately) dystopian corporate transhumanism variant. Here goes a tree-chopping metaphor:

Windows is a club with some periodic minor UI refinements.

My ThinkPad is an ergonomic as fuck axe with state-of-the-art, always self-upgraded components made by some of the best engineers in the world.
>muh Unix learning curve

A MacBook is a beautiful axe that shows, or used to show, your social status.

Keyboard seemed ok actually. Solder SSD doesn't effect me, its never coming out or getting replaced.

It's not fake; LastPass just used the wrong type of textbox for the password field

whats your specs?
waiting on mine to be mailed in the next 4-5 weeks

it was onepassword fault, they used the wrong api

top of the line
$4300 model + $50 on dongles

>USB-C has a high chance of disabling wifi
>multiplied by each port in use at a given time

You can't make this shit up.

How long did you wait to get it in the mail?

it shipped on the first wave so not a lot.
still waiting for the book to ship tho, i already have all my iPhones and old macs engraved

I ordered my saturday. expect to get it between dec 25-jan 2

store doesn't carry anything beyond 2.6,256, 450 or 2.7, 455, 512 and the latter is out everywhere around me atm. pisses me off

it was time to get a new macbook to replace my 2012 model but this one (and the current osx/mac direction in general) really shit the bed
got pic related instead, no regrets

They sell usb c everything now. Would be relatively easy to replace most A products.

You ain't kidding. Even my cat loves it :3

I wasn't impressed by it when I used one at the store. I'm still wondering why there is a subset of people who will buy anything Apple puts out regardless of how good it actually is in actual usage. I mean I bought a Macbook Pro Retina a couple years back and it's pretty good but (like the rest of Apple's products) it has some glaring flaws and is really user-hostile in a lot of ways.

>fagintosh

What's the best new laptop under $1000?

Quality shitpost.

Not even a macfag but what's wrong with throttling?

A NOS 2015 rMBP on sale

Help me Sup Forums

My desktop just broke and it was really old, repairing it is not worth the effort.
I work as a junior web developer (.NET and javascript) and I was saving to buy the most overrated laptop basicly to show off at a client's office and give a professional impression.
Besides that, portability would help a lot in the regards of workshops and college.

Should I go for the macbook or build a new destokp pc?
I don't play that much games..
