Can anybody explain to me why Win 7 SP1 refuses to update? I happen to reinstall win7 occasionaly on my work (also installed on my second PC at home, but wiped it), but it just won't update, it just keeps "searching for updates" and nothing happens. Even fucking Windows XP is able to find last updates that were released before it's end-of-life.
and do not enable updates, instead, install these manually:

You only need the first two, but you should be using wsus offline anyway.

Not sure if it's all pointless, but there are some popular projects on Github for Window's host files that basically stop your computer from sending to a lot of the telemetry hosts (Basically tells your computer to just send them to localhost)

Hey, guys. I'm at my wit's end and hoping one of you can give me a hand.
I'm trying to activate Office 2010 Professional Plus on Windows 7 Ultimate. Windows is installed correctly and done up using Daz's loader and working fine as intended. The problem is with Office. I have done everything I can think of.

I just cannot get MTK to activate Office 2010. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. Tried Ez-Activate, and it flashes the window for a second and outputs nothing. Tried using Activate and get this bullshit error message which tells me nothing:

Tried Installing AutoKMS. It says AutoKMS is installed, yet Office is still telling me it's not activated.
I'm going out of my fucking mind and beating my head against the wall trying to figure this out (nearly literally). I'm far from computer illiterate and I RTFM. I'm using the latest version of Microsoft Toolkit (2.6.2, downloaded from official MDL forums and verified via md5). My Office is a volume license and not retail, so I know that isn't the problem.
Can any of you guys help? I will literally fucking love you forever.

Sage, hide and report. Technical support belongs to You don't tweak windows, there's nothing to be discussing about here. Windows doesn't enable users to manipulate kernel latency, desktop environment, default shell, kernel parameters, boot loader, TCP/IP stacks, display servers, audio servers and fucking fonts along with many other things. Windows is not meant for customizing, it's just a consumer oriented desktop OS.

Yesterday I tried installing Plex on Windows 10.
The Windows Store has basically become a knock off Play store. The next day after installing the app I had a notification telling me that Plex was just installed and "You should check it out!"
It was limited to 1 minute of playback and asked for credit card information.
Left a bad taste in my mouth and I thought I would blog about it here. Fuck Windows.

Its a headless machine that I briefly was using on a TV to see if it would play a 4k video from IE, it couldn't and I wasn't willing to load up the abortion that is Windows Media Player, so I was going to try the PLEX app because it probably uses ffmpeg/libav and I didn't want to deal with bullshit, but I got bullshit.
It's headless again and my 4k experiment is done until I decide to upgrade to pascal.
