>what is clevo

inb4 spastic autist that HAS to make his keyboard rainbow colored just because he can customize each key a different color

Dell or Thinkpads.

Macbook Air
Macbook Pro

Thinkpad - although it doesn't look like gamer shit, it's a different type of autism

Yeah, they're called Dell Precisions.

This. I bought a 17" in 2012. 7970m and i7. Works like a champ.

The only thing i absolutely fucking hate is dealing with dual graphic switching. The Intel4000hd is starting to show its age webbrowsing, and there is no way to force it to use the ATI card for desktop shit.

BIOS and support are horrendous later on. Unless you absolutely need portability, (which I did due to traveling constantly), get a supped up desktop and get yourself a shitkicker laptop like a thinkpad.

>"I have never bothered to spec out a Dell Latitude, HP ProBook or Lenovo Thinkpad" The thread

>those toys
>high end

mild laff

Surface book.
Alternatively, the Razer blade stealth looks low key if you cover up the logo.

OP never even stated what he wants from a notebook, other than costing more than $1,000 and not looking like gamer garbage

when you say high end do you mean high performance?

because MacBooks, thinkpads, and dells can all be high end but you won't be able to do any gaming on them

if you're after a laptop that'll play your games then you're gonna have to settle with something a little autistic looking, just buy something cheap for taking to college or whatever because you wont wanna take out a gaming laptop

Razor blade and the other one they make forget the name. Your can turn all the gamer lights off, pretty much looks like a black macbook.

This razer blade with dbrand skin to cover up the birth mark.

>because MacBooks, thinkpads, and dells can all be high end but you won't be able to do any gaming on them
Only if you have shit taste and for some reason like modern games, then again Intel 7th gen graphics will play any 2015 game on medium graphics and max out any game made before 2011.
>but muh ultra settings!

Any business laptop brand, like Dell Latitude/Precision, HP Elitebook, IBM/Lenovo ThinkPad P W T or X series.

Yeah you could play Skyrim on a 2016 MacBook air... that doesn't mean you should, those laptops aren't properly ventilated. Constant heat will ruin their lifespan.

I meant MacBook pro but whatever

yea i use sager which is based off clevo too

You could play Skyrim on a 2011 Macbook Air on medium settings at around 35FPS. Intel graphics are way faster these days.
Also on Windows laptops, you can turn on power saving mode that reduces power consumption a fuckload, and it has little impact on framerates and performance.

It only gets about 20fps on my 2014 MacBook air and it gets very fucking hot

Windows?
I got it running under Wine on my 2013 rMBP13 and it runs on medium at 45-55FPS (1280x800), gets kinda warm, battery meter reports 4.5 hours battery life.

Clevo/Sager
Dell
Lenovo Thinkpads/X1 Carbon/Yoga
Surface Book (maybe Pro 4?)

I snagged a Latitude E7240 from ebay during black friday and I've been putting it through its paces the last few days; it's amazing, especially for the price I got it at. Plays old gaymes/gaymes like FTL just fine. Gets a little too hot for my liking under stress but does everything else exactly fine and I'm not spending hours playing gaymes on it.

Thinkpads are great if you want your life to be as libre as possible.

You sound like Sup Forumsermin spillover looking to fall for the "gaming laptop" meme. Might want to change that attitude as fast as possible.

Yeah windows, I'll have to try it under Wine. I only have the basic model though. 1.4ghz, 4gbs ram

Enterprise grade laptops.

Dell Precision
Lenovo Thinkpad
HP lattitude

Also the high grade consumer ones - dell XPS developer edition, etc

latitude is dell
u mean hp pajeetbook

what's the best 13" laptop available right now?

love my 2013 xps13, but looking to upgrade to something that is /comfy/ and runs linux well

What's wrong with the Razer Blade? Just put a sticker on the logo or dbrand it.

asus.com/us/Notebooks/ASUS-ZenBook-Pro-UX501VW/

Or a Mi Book

>fagbook

XPS 13 still.

No.

13" Macbook Pro.

>tfw they dont make 11' laptops no more
Why cant we just use a larger additional monitor when settled while keeping its mobility

Yes clevo/sager is the top tier of budget bang for your buck utilitarian gaming laptops. 2 grand will get you what aleinware and other glamor brands sell for 5k or more.

Asus E200HA.
It would be perfect if they made a version with 4GB RAM and microusb/usbc charging. Having 15 hours battery life is amazing.

>tfw clevo only sales terranforce in china

yes but they cost absurdly more and aren't good at gaming due to their shit ventilation
