Is this the best music player on Android? I fucking love that it can play folders.

Gonna buy the full version when my trial runs out.

Dev never updates it since Android 4 and it definitely needs to be.

I regret my purchase.

If only it was free open source software...

I saw people on Sup Forums saying this is good so I bought the full version, but it is shit. Used it for a few hours, the stock music player is better and I regret buying it.

No

using playerpro. didn't really think about changing but will check out poweramp.
just hope it has a good way to download hq album covers, that's the only thing that is cancerous on my current music player.

Try MX Player

What is wrong with it? It does everything fine. The free trial has been pretty good. I like this app better than the stock Samsung one, plus being able to play from folders is a plus.

All the hip players can play folders nowadays. Theres nothing special about Poweramp anymore. Go get Black Player, Phonograph, Retro Player or some other shit.

Why? How is it better?

But how are those better? What is special to them?

AIMP is free, no ads, no nothing. Lightweight too. Playlist management is the best by far (it got even better in the current beta by separating folders inside playlist, optional, the same feture that is on PC).

I totally love this thing and disagree with If it aint broke, don't fix it. Mine works like a charme and I wouldn't use any other anymore.

Oh, current beta also supports skins.

It doesn't play opus, so no. It's currently in the beta, but that version has other problems.

>What is wrong with it? It does everything fine.

It's bloated and takes forever to boot up and does nothing better than the stock music player

Neutron is the GOAT if for no other reason that it can read the cue sheets for FLAC albums when no other will

Exactly. I don't see any issues with it, it does what it is supposed to, and does it good.

I'll take a look.
But for some reason I think that Poweramp looks better.

>Opus
>It is currently in the beta
I don't know what you are talking about.

That is fucking bullshit mate. I don't have any of those issues.

It boots instantly, and is not bloated. It has a lot more features than stock.

I don't use FLAC so I could don't care for it really. I mean that is nice though.

Nah, you just have a shit phone. I don't find it bloated at all. Well the stock skin is hideous AF but, slap the dark material skin on it and it downright beautiful and comfy.

>citation needed

I like this stock theme.

>>Opus
>>It is currently in the beta
>I don't know what you are talking about.
Opus, the best audio codec, isn't supported in Poweramp. Which is shit obviously. However, it is supported in the current beta branch of Poweramp, but that beta branch has other more general and annoying problems.
I thought this was clear.

I have a shit phone that any other music player functions much better in because it's so bloated. It is likely the worst you can get on the play store. Have not tried everything, but enough to know that it's bottom tier.

Last update for that was months ago though, it still has really annoying bugs. I'd hardly call that "updated".

Should be fixed in the future mate.

Sure. But they've been saying that since 2012, so I'm not going to keep using it while it's broken. I'll just use alternatives that do work.

You're a fucking idiot.

Yep, literally the only thing I've ever bought from the playstore, well spent.

What bugs? I have not seen any myself and I use it daily.

You can't control it via bluetooth. Or at least it doesn't behave like it should.

I am going to buy it as well.

That explains it, I don't use bluetooth at the moment.

Fair enough. I think there are some other bugs in the beta as well, but I didn't encounter those and I think they're less obvious.

BlackPlayer EX

Second this

Then go ahead and use it. I don't like it. But since it's customizable, who even cares how it looks? It can be whatever you want it to be. It just has to work as you desire

Been using it for some years now, tried out alternatives but it's the most solid one on the store.

The only thing I miss is having more than two albums per row in grid view.

>pic related, recommend the material theme.

I control it via Bluetooth, and I have literally no issues. Problem's or your side user.

Black Player is basically as customizable as an Launcher and is updated more frequently.

Mmkay

>As an launcher

They will release v3 soon, it's on beta for a long time. You can become a beta tester if you want, just check their forum.

Ivan is wrong as usual

The beta version? Because it's documented and acknowledged by the devs, so I'm assuming you're lying or just wrong.

I've been using Apollo. I really enjoy it.

pornograph is GOAT

>play folders
phonefags everyone

Poweramp master race with direct audio

>tfw fell for Neutron meme

Other than the scrolling what issues do you have with it?

The best.

I use odyssey. It's barebones and works fine. Has folder search like you want too

$6, shitty UI, only notice a little bit of sound improvement

AIMP has a great UI. However when I first got it I thought it was even better, but it turns out it lacks one simple thing it should have.

Basically you can just add any folder to a playlist, so I was adding each of my album folders to their own playlists, thinking you just slide to the right to go to the next playlist. It turns out that instead doing a simple swipe to the right, you have to click the little corner thing and select a new playlist. Anyone who's used AIMP will know what I mean.

I downloaded Poweramp and honestly it's cluttered as fuck compared to AIMP.

If you know the corners of the Internet to look its absolutely not $6

Didn't foobar port to android?

yeah but it's shit

don't even think it does the plugins. either way it has an abysmal UI

Any decent music players that sync well with MusicBee?

When I create a Playlist on my PC then 'sync' it with my phone it will automatically create the playlist with Google Play Music, but not any other Android music player I download.

I fucking hate Google Play Music but Google Voice doesn't want to work with any of the players I do, nor does MusicBee's playlist sync. Fucking hell Google.

And whilst I'm pissed off, why the FUCK can't you play a playlist via voice commands. Fucks sake.
