I'm bored and thinking of upgrading from 7 to 10.
Is it good yet?

It's good if you like getting cucked by M$'s botnet.
Its watching you.
isn't 7 watching me as well?

Microsoft proudly presents surveillance statistics:

> Over 82 billion photos viewed.
> Gamers spent over 4 billion hours playing PC games.
> 44.5 billion minutes/month spent in Microsoft Edge.
> Over 2.5 billion questions asked of Cortana since launch.
> Windows 10 now active on over 200 million devices
While you may think that
"if you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear"
bulk surveillance damages the very foundation of the democracy
that you believe in.

>Is it good
No
Yes, install Gentoo.
See for yourself.
Install GNU+Linux.
Or as I've recently taken to calling it, linux.
>upgrading from 7 to 10
you mean "changing" from 7 to 10.
going from an OS designed for desktop/laptop PCs that doesn't mine everything you do and has more user control to an OS designed for tablets that keylogs you and has less user control is not an "upgrade" whatsoever. how could you possibly believe this?
why the fuck aren't people using windows 7? it's flawless.
It's shit but has vulkan/dx12 support so w/e
no, unless you agree to allow them to do so.
You think that means shit, adorable.
7 also has vulkan
dx12 is a meme and sees literally no improvement over dx11
it's purrfect.... if you know what I mean...
>"M-MUH MEMORY COMPRESSION!!!"
Do you have the technological know-how to use Linux? If so, a Windows pass through on a GNU/Linux OS of your choice is the best bet.
Otherwise never contemplate upgrading again.
Otherwise enjoy your
pasta di antonio
Under the hood, significant upgrades.
On the surface, total shit. Install ClassicShell.
do you play any games that require dx12?
What significant upgrades?
Also can you disable automatic updates yet?
AU is the most most awful thing they released since Vista and they are in no hurry fixing the biggest issues while fishing for former apple-users.
Only the 2015 LTSB is somewhat decent. The 2016 one is very buggy
Don't think it will ever be good, the app store is still shit, edge maybe fast but it's still shit, cortana hasn't served any purpose for me because it's shit, win 10 isn't tablet friendly, can't switch screen off while listening to music - SHIT, if I install another browser a pop up springs up saying edge is faster, every major update edge makes itself as default browser, every time I open edge I get a warning that it switched the extensions for safety, have to randomly reinstall ublock origin because edge fucks up, doesn't let me scroll down my subscriptions in youtube. Edge starts in an instant but all other browsers take a lot longer to start - fucking conspiracy right there. Occasional start up error in edge about unable to contact Microsoft servers then stops working.
The only reasonable use of Windows is inside a VM. If you need gaymes then use PCI passthrough.
I use them in a VM. Glad to hear I'm not insane and 2016 is actually buggy-er than 2015.
>upgrading
You mistyped downgrade.
I've been using it since beta...nothing bad about it.
Just starting to look into some of the cool features it has.
Are there any sweet themes or features that can make windows 10 look and feel way cooler? Like a built in rainmeter or something?
Faster in general than 7 in my experience. Security updates seem to be coming down the pipeline pretty often. Insider preview is neat if you like testing stuff and running bleeding edge code.
