NSA

Realistically speaking, could the NSA actually just go into your computer automatically and look at your webcam/listen to your microphone in under a hour?

yes

Do they have some magic software to use your IP to get into your computer or use other software already on your computer to get into it?

Easy peasy

And that's in a minute, not an hour

hardware backdoors, they just send a magic packet duh

>Contacts your ISP
>Get your customer info
>Use backdoor into your modem and router
>You are the botnet now, and so is your webcam
>Profit???

ITT: delusional freetards who think the NSA is some magical entity which can do anything it wishes with ease

based on a talk i watched with someone who seemd to know their stuff they its all based around remote injection.

if your computer is hooked up to the internet pretty much in most places they can remotely inject packets that will direct you to some server that runs like test on your computer to determine services you're running. they can then exploit them services if they're exploitable if not they probably have a lot of 0 days.

not to mention the fact that some software may have just given nsa the keys to your os like actually purposefully built backdoors - people say windows, browsers, mac, etc but who knows?

most codebases are closed source and even if you did look at source it's like some 14 million lines all together once you include all the libarries it's built on.

fuck you I'm gonna bump this every 30 minutes

The NSA has to use it's 11 billion dollars budget somehow. Them getting that much of course gives them a lot of power.

They've been building their systems up with the growth of the internet for 20 years. They've got control of this mother fucker.

I keep seeing cunts say that the NSA has ultimate power. I don't see how the fuck they can.

don't you get it? everything is a illusion, NSA fucking owns you, your loli porn and your mums nudes, you think illuminati is just a fucking conspiracy theory?

Do you guys think NSA is the true internet God?

Is Lain kill?
This

> computer is connected to internet
> camera is connected to computer
> camera is magically isolated from the internet
Basically there are an unlimited number of unknown exploits which allow an outside attacker to connect to and view your webcam. The NSA is more likely than most organizations to own the exploits, if they are known.

There are steps which can be taken to mitigate this issue. If these steps aren't taken, assume someone is watching you masturbate.

intel management engine as well. the nsa follows/hacks backbone routers and probably has instant access to any isp customer database so in theory they could find you, own you, listen to you in minutes. unless you build a private vpn network which avoids their hacked infrastructure and have machines which aren't tied to you in any way then you have no protection.

how to stay secure

1. never go online

implying they can't use radio waves from outer space to connect to your Bluetooth to get into your CPU and see everything you're doing.

>how to stay secure
>1. never go online
>always cash payments
>store nothing of the past in your home
>always wear disquese

no but they can use...
...
shhh...
badbios

Yes, see intel/amd cpu inside your computer is compromised. It literally runs proprietary/closed source os independant code. It has access to all hardware resources.
I believe this type of surveilance is reserved for the most important targets.

Even if your cpu is not spying on you your OS windows/mac/linux is compromised/backdoored and and nsa can hack you any time they want.

>implying they can't use radio waves from outer space to connect to your Bluetooth to get into your CPU and see everything you're doing.
fucking sattalite photos

Seriously?

Just tap into the backbone networks of the internet, tell the big ISPs how it's going to go down, bully smaller ISPs in the same fashion, and they do that all on top of having access to probably the most powerful computers and information technology on the planet.

The internet became a snare sometime in the 2000s. It's now a means of ultimate control. Few people can function without internet, and now they're closing the handful of loopholes and tech that would let you circumvent their control.

NSA/CIA are likely the most powerful organizations in the world. It makes me wonder what they really want-they're largely independent of popular political control, and have the means to fabricate any evidence necessary to blackmail ANYONE.

Everything the public believes right now is probably a lie, including what you and I believe. No one is certain of what may or may not be true; they're achieving their endgame.

What is their ultimate goal, boys? Any speculation?

>Implying they don't just use the Moon Matrix to beam into your consciousness and see what you're thinking and doing

Their ultimate goal is FEMA camps.

>Sup Forumstards thinking they are worthy

AYY LMAO

no one wants to see your chinese cartoons manchildrens

>probably the most powerful computers and information technology on the planet.
lol, no.

I believe the current situation is almost ideal for them, none of the world domination/one world government shit or the mass genocide preppers or Alex Jones believes. Why would they destroy their milk cows? They need to maintain the illusion of freedom, the lack of that illusion is what destroyed communism. Once they have full control of the web they wouldn't really need or want anything more.

their ultimate goal is to protect themselves from me, because im fucking coming for them, and i am THE ILLEST, aids infected child molesters arent sicker than me

>its closed source which means its compromised!

that is not an argument

history and snowden shows it is wise to assume the worst when it comes to closed information technology

Are you b8ing? Its compromised because intel/amd bends backwards to accomodate nsa, not because the code is closed source. It could be relased under some type of open license but that would still mean nothing because code is signed and intel/amd do not provide keys to anyone but nsa

the intel/amd processor is not going to let traffic in through your firewall

try again

To be the one true terrorist organization seems to be about right

wouldn't it be much easier to just sterilize people or run an adoption propaganda campaign if they wanted to lower the population?

don't they have back doors built into all major compilers now? It doesn't matter if you have the source code. As soon as you compile it it becomes a botnet.

I think you blow it out of proportion. The NSA employs a shitton of people, many of them would know about those backdoors and then go on to work in private sector. People talk, shit gets used, this just doesn't sound realistic.

there is an organization that will pay you to be sterilized if you're a drug addict.

On a Serious note

there is a large amount of fluoride in the water, chemicals in the food and healthier food has become more expensive while unhealthy food has become cheaper.

All of this has increased sterilization rates in males drastically. So if you think about it they already are.

i sometimes think if its blown out of proportion too but who the fuck knows?

i do like listen to this nsa hacker talk at defcon he was pretty fucking cool -

youtube.com/watch?v=h9wXq6oRBnI

he doesn't actually talk about his job or anything (hes obviously nsa) but more about cool stories very intriguing talk.

but if you say anything your literarlly dead, a spy, patriot act remember

I'm safe on gnu/linux right?

>being this fucking retarded

Closed source doesn't help but the open source argument isn't a guarantee either.

Modern cryptography is insanely complicated. The math behind AES, RSA, etc. is pretty safe, a lot of people dealt with that.

But just using AES doesn't cut it. There are so many trivial and non-trivial ways to fuck up the implementation of cryptographic algorithms.

The code is open, yes, but I'd wager the cross section of people who
>have sufficient mathematical knowledge and understanding of modern cryptography
>are well versed in low level programming
>know the intricacies of whatever project they're about to review and the platform(s) it runs on
>AND who have the time and fancy to review and fix such projects, often for free
is very low

Add to that the possibility of hardware exploits and we can only conclude you're screwed either way if the NSA really wants to get yo ass

>implying firewalls are not compromised
The large majority of people do not have hardware firewalls.

It doesn't matter if they can or not, they couldn't use anything against you because it was obtained without a warrant.

>inb4 hurr durr that doesn't stop them!!!

they wipe their asses with warrants bro. You think it's hard to get one? Look up FISA courts

Parallel construction

I think the bureaucracy moves too slowly for them to do it in under an hour. But maybe within 12 hours, they'd be able to get everything set up and somehow activate whatever backdoor they've got on your computer. That's my guess.
