5 minutes into Ubuntu and the UI is already completely broken.

Linux, not even once.

>1366x768

Anyway I've had no problems with Linux Mint.

looks like you dont have any drop shadows

That's a borderless window you idiot.

unity sucks, if you want a logical Windows style desktop environment steer clear

That's not Unity.

This is

OP is using Ubuntu MATE it seems

oh i saw the dock and assumed Unity. nvmd

Somebody has an old gpu and should disable compiz and use macro instead.

I also tried installing linux for the first time today
decided on mint because people say its easy to use
Loaded up a usb and previewed it and got a decent feel for it
rebooted after installing it and it couldn't detect the hdd at all afterwards

>Somebody has an old gpu

>B-but I thought Linux would bring back to life my old PCs...

And the GPU is only a couple years old, kek. I'm not even running Unity.

>he is limited by the UI forced upon him instead of creating his own UI/UX to suit his needs and his hardware

kek fuck around too much without knowing shit and Linux will screw you hard

The Apple MacBook Pro with Retina Display doesn't have this problem.

>toddlerOS

>he fell for the linux desktop meme

>using a hard drive i tore out of an old laptop as my boot drive while I wait for my SSD to come in the mail
>literally just stick that shit in along with the power and sata
>it boots with no questions asked
>18 fucking degrees Celsius

what the fuck

why is everything going so right???

Fell hard.

>Mate
lmao

plenty of months into ubuntu and it's running great :^)

install Linux Mint. ZERO issues!

>mir is a dog shit
>therefore GNU/Linux is bad

No.

do you even write code?

I severely doubt its actually 18c unless you live at the north pole.

Sure, honey. :-)

idk what to say dude, here are two sensors saying that its at 20

my room is actually quite cold but im nowhere near the north pole

>lincucks so poor that they can't afford heating

maybe update lm-sensors

literally installed it two minutes before I took that screenshot so idk.

I don't even have that great of a cooler. Its a coolermaster 212 in an nzxt s340 elite

Use your fucking head. Thermodynamics mean unless your room is at 18c or lower the HDD physically cannot be that temperature (as the sensor only reads whole numbers it could report exactly ambient temperature). Realistically its probably running closer to 23c.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA this.

bugs? in Linux?

OH NOO WAYYYYY

>ubuntu
>gnome
>1366x768

well, there's your problem

>Mint
There's your problem. Try something like Antergos+Gnome or if you want an Ubuntu sort of experience try Zorin. Zorin looks hella nice. I used it for a few months and experienced no issues.

Are you in a VM?

>Ubuntu
Lmao

Nope
