>set monitor brightness to lowest possible setting on monitor >increased screen life >reduced electricity usage >zero eye strain, can stare at screen for 10 hours with no issue >no retarded, expensive computer glasses
When did you realize that eye troubles from computer monitors were retards not realize they can turn down the brightness?
Enjoy the loss of colors in your movies you demented little shit!
Juan Bell
>Reduce brightness >Can't see shit >Strain eyes trying to read texts >Become blind in 5 years
Gabriel Hernandez
I've never understood what the fuck these glasses are supposed to do
Jordan Garcia
Why, are you retarded?
Benjamin Sanders
Actually the colors look better because they're not washed out.
>use default brightness >have to squint to prevent being blinded by monitor >eyes watering after a few hours >have to take breaks or end up with burning sensation that doesn't go away for a while even after leaving the pc >everything is washed out because it's so bright
You need to be blind to have issues seeing the monitor on lowest brightness.
Jayden Hall
Maybe. So what are they for?
Nathaniel Robinson
my cool hip and modern doctor once prescribed a pair of these because I told her Korean ass that I spend a lot of my time in front of a computer. Never went to pick them up from the designated glasses docter so never got to experience high end gunnars.
Nathaniel Murphy
>dimming monitor to save electricity costs
Holy fucking shit, this board needs flags so we can laugh at the pajeets when they try and say something smart.
Owen Turner
>Comprised of a proprietary lens material
Nathan Price
>>set monitor brightness to lowest possible setting on monitor >>increased screen life
You have an oled monitor?
Luke Sanchez
filter blue light My optometrist actually recommended me some (not gunnars, a different brand) when I said I spend over 12 hours/day staring at my computer.
Dominic Foster
Filter out blue color wavelengths
Nolan Jones
>mid 30's >always use dark on light >always have brightness maxed >stare at monitor on average 6-8 hours a day for at least 15 years >often in a dark room >literally zero eye strain
People who get eye strain are actually just pussies
Dominic Jenkins
whats the supposed benefit of doing that? Other than making things look yellowish?
Isaac Morales
making things look yellowish instead of blueish reduces strain on your eyes
Jacob Phillips
I do this to save electricity it seems OK but only when you are used to it.
Then you spend half hour on something like plasma TV and your 15% brightness monitor suddenly looks disgusting
Brandon Price
>eye troubles from computer monitors were retards not realize they can turn down the brightness what
Colton Perez
>zero eye strain, can stare at screen for 10 hours with no issue
I have trouble reading unless my backlight isn't on 80%
>mid 30s >on Sup Forums You're like one of those losers in school that played with children 3 years younger than you because everyone else picked on you.
Dylan Bailey
and you're like one of those kids that hangs out on Sup Forums, pretends it's theirs because you don't fit in with your generation on your generation's sites like facebook, twitter, tumblr
>>have to squint to prevent being blinded by monitor Try having a light on
Gabriel Morales
>>eyes watering after a few hours What the hell is wrong with your eyes? Go see a doctor you almost blind faggot.
Camden Scott
Lowest brightness is usually too low to be comfortable, it's only useful on a laptop if you're really desperate for battery life. Still, you should reduce the brightness as much as possible while still maintaining viewing comfort (a good way to figure out the optimal level is to turn brightness all the way down, and then slowly increasing it by just a bit until it's OK).
Aaron Torres
I like having 2 22" screens at around 275 cd/m2 searing my eyes though.
Adam Wright
I want accurate colours and I work/play in a well lit room anyway.
