You're given a $10,000 budget to design and build a PC for your personal use. What kind of meme machine do you assemble?

I3 6100, rx 470, 1tb hdd, 8gb ram, 550w psu, cheapest nice looking case, cheapest mainboard.

Pocket the rest of the cash for my personal savings account.

Hello squidmin

I forgot to mention, the money is use it or lose it. You don't get to keep any leftovers.

Too late, it's already in my account.

You forgot to mention, and now it's too late.

radeon pro duo, fx 9590, 1000 watt psu, 5 tb ssd

>RX 480 2-way crossfire
>best AMD FX CPU
>2000 watt PSU
>server tower with radiators all over it to cool the GPUs and my turban
>construct very small road in my bedroom to shit in

>readeon pro duo
You are aware that that thing is rx460 based which is basically a botched rx470?

4x GTX 1080 SLI
64GB+ Ram
i7 Skylake (not into cpus just gimme the most powerful one)
Water cooling
A nice case

4 monitors, a keyboard and a mouse.

And split the rest of the money between more 1080s, more ram and shitloads of SSDs

>dual Xeon E5-2687Wv4
>Supermicro motherboard
>at least 128GB ECC RAM
>GTX Titan X
>Seasonic PSU
>some sort of SSDs
>some full tower case

you forgot Windows 10

In win 909, titan xp Crossfire, i7 7700k, the best goodlooking z170 White/Grey looking, two 4 tb ssd m.2, two 6gb hdd, 850 evga Platinum full modular White Grey sleeved cables, White leds,
Any 104 keys keyboard with white led and cherry mx Brown, some good mouse with the double click feature, x2 32" 4k ips monitor, x2 m audio m3-8 or some Adam audio, and that 600€ Asus dac
Led behind every monitor

but my setup already costs 10k€....

>$10k budget
>no Titan X

Ya dun goof'd.

>You're given a $10,000 budget.

Budget, not cash. Are you retarded?

>Loaded 15" macbook pro
>5k LG screen
>Apple keyboard and mouse

Way faster and far better than any Wincrap combo you dream about.

I would just make a dual xeon workstation and buy some really nice monitors to go with it.

Most likely buy a supermicro chassis with those 1.4kw gold rated redundant psus pre installed too to save work and money.

After it's all built and done whatever extra money I waste in cute clothes and heels.

Spend it all on memecoin miners.

Athlon 64 4000+
ATI Radeon X1950 XTX
Top quality CRT capable of 160 Hz
spend the rest on lights and modding

pcpartpicker.com/list/VymcGf

Just as a starting point. If we're talking computer all together then that's pretty solid. Don't need to fall for the computer case meme.

If we're talking about just the computer itself without peripherals then just add a case and update some stuff.

Although I'd probably get a Mac Pro. You honestly can't beat it. Especially for efficiency. This thing is on air. To do serious damage you'd need water-cooled, but fuck that. That trash can is efficiency at its finest.

do i have to spend everything on a single PC? or can i spend like 2k and keep the rest for upgrades later?

Spend it on 10,000 worth of parts and then sell those parts to be able to get it in cash.

I would then spend about 1000 or so on a PC and pocket the rest of the cash.

2k on desktop PC (i7 / GTX 1080 / 16GB RAM).
1k on a low power Microserver and three HDDs for torrenting purposes.
Rest on some kind of 100TB FreeNAS monstrosity.

buy 4 Titan X's and then sell them on ebay

You are aware that you are a retarded faggot
That thing is 2× R9 Nano

Also, 470 is a dumbed-down 480 (Polaris 10) and 460 is a completely different chip (Poolaris 11)

The most i could get for that money and then resell it.

I'd rather have the cash and keep my memepad.

quads of truth

THIS

Surface Pro 4 /w accessories

Spend rest on healthcare

pcpartpicker.com/list/cd6t9W

R8 m8s.

>Samsung 850 EVO-Series 1TB 2.5" Solid State Drive
... what ?

rack mount system far enough away that i can't hear it and then a thunderbolt hub on my desk

a power8 workstation

I buy ten 4TB HDDs to put in a NAS for achive use, buy another ten 4TB HDDs to put in a NAS as a backup for that archive, then buy another set of ten 4TB HDDs for another NAS that is a backup of the backup

Then spend the rest of the money on a boatload of HDDs for when the HDDs in the 3 NAS fails and need to be replaced.

>pic
I guess I'll go watch the movie again

whoops, wrong link

Does it have to be one machine? I would build a kick ass desktop, and roomy server

I know a guy who had one as his home server.

Sounded like a vacuum cleaner.
Could hear it anywhere in the house.

xeon + gtx 1080 + 4k display + pcie ssd

rest into nas and hdd's

The strongest of a Windows computer.

What do people "archive"

And jeez that is a lot of fucking drives.

why 2 M2 SSD's?

wait for kaby lake/zen

Best CPU at the time
4x Best GPU at the time
Best mobo for the CPU and GPUs
Maximum ram
1500 Watt PSU
Capture card
rest in SSDs

I already own a meme machine:

Intel Xeon E5-2683v3
64GB RAM
128GB M.2 Plextor SSD
960GB SATA SSD
1TB HDD
2x3GB HDD
GTX 1060 3GB
4K screen

>4 way SLI

I have 6 HDDs filled with about 17TB of anime, movies and tv shows from the west and east, games, random videos, concerts, and music.

I would get that many drives because all 3 NAS would be in a raid

My bad, updated list, changed CPU, GPU, changed to one SATA SSD and one M2 SSD, two mechanical drives.

forgot link
pcpartpicker.com/list/VWyPQV

>2x3GB HDD
Wtf do you do with those?

Buy a Talos workstation. Call it a day.

op image is a virus.

Movies, series, anime, pictures.

Oh lol just noticed. It's 2x3TB.

In 6 GB? How

Post feet, slut.

>posting from my $2000 hackintosh
>my girlfriend is running your dream set up
>maniacal laugh intensifies as MBP does not wake from sleep in Windows
>njoy

>What kind of meme machine do you assemble?
Intel Extreme +32GB some ram + 1060+ Wacom Cintiq 22

Pay someone to build a 0 decibel system for me. I don't want to hear anything.

AMD Zen
some random cheap GPU
32 GiB of RAM
spend the rest on SSDs
no mechanical drives

raspberry pi 3 with watercooling.
Best for playing minecraft and shitposting I'll keep the rest and blow it all on hookers and cocaine.

What if I attach a money clip to the case of the computer which says "Requires the installation of 90 $100 bills"?

The highest spec of MacBook Pro 2016

I would make sure every part works well in OpenBSD. It would cost much less than 10,000. Spend the rest on necessities and PS4 games.

i6800K
WiFi integrated MoBo
32GB RAM
Titan X/GTX 1080Ti
600W PSU
AIO Cooling
O2 DAC/AMP
Sennheiser HD 650
Yumi Kanto Monitors
34" LG 1440p Ultrawide
2x27" 1440p monitors
BluRayDrive
Pocket the rest

Does 10k even cover the cost of a fully speccd trashbin Mac Pro

...

a server with 50 8tb drives.

I actually did this once.

Bought the first Core 2 Duo extreme edition which was fucking $1000

never again

...

Buttercoin mining motherboard
8x rx 480
3000w psu
Best cpu aviable for said motherboard likley to be an i7 4000 series
Shitload of ram

Here i go trying to play hitman under dx12 at max details

Wish me well

>build the most compatible hackintosh, a decent monitor/mouse/keyboard and spend the rest on HDDs and SSDs.
>install every operating system in existence
>shitpost on Sup Forums

Lenovo thinkpad x1 carbon

And pay someone to port libreboot to it and neuter intel management engine

Then install debian gnu linux

so basically

>4100 CPU
>1000 RAM
>0500 PSU
>0500 Mobo
>0500 Display
>1300 GPU
>subtotal roughly $ 8000

0400 storage + ssd enough for whole OS + programs + working data
then
1300 2TB wasted on another sdd with too great a cost per GB, why? marginal increase of performance over the older SSD?

if you want ultra performance, just run the entire OS from a 64 GB RAM drive and you still got 64GB RAM

of add extra 64GB for less than half that SSD (there are sata controller with RAM slots)

also, all that power and no second GPU?

not even 5% of budget on some form of air filtering or alternative cooling to protect the $7000 of high heating circuitry, to make that thing last

just 1% in air cooling

/thread

>10k

4x SLI titans for CNN/DL, two 2tb ssds, rest is whatever

used 2500k with 770 and enough storage for all my anime

spend the rest on a trip to thailand where i'll fuck tiny whores until my dick is sore

I'd buy 4 $2k computers and daisy chain them together so they form one micro supercomputer and spend the rest on water cooling them outside the house so I don't boil alive.

i5-6400, because I don't want to waste money in energy bills.

In that case, I would buy a i5-6400 and spend a lot of money in a smart TV/monitor and some expensive audio stuff. VR goggles and shit like that.
