No

if you like 2/3 hour battery life, sure

No
They're only known here for thinkpads, and the good models were mostly from IBM times or based on those

thinkpad or don't bother

Memes aside, for laptops they can be good value for the specs. I don't have a problem recommending their budget options to friends who I know are going to leave it plugged in most of the time.

I wouldn't even bother with a ThinkPad at this point.

My yoga is a good shitposting machine and pretty solid. Wouldn't have it as my main computer though.

Literally spies on you, but Sup Forums loves to defend them while shitting on every other company, because dude memes lmao

It's great if you like preinstalled unremovable malware

They make the only Google Tango enabled smart phone.

This is true until you want to upgrade hardware because you can't. The BIOS checks hardware IDs against a hardcoded whitelist and won't allow you to boot anything if something fails, and the whole thing is encrypted.

It's the 1366x768 company

When Lenovo took over thinkpads, they took an immediate and noticable drop in quality
Seeing my first Lenovo thinkpad disappointed me, after that point they were just normal cheapass notebook laptops with nubs

lenovo is not a good brand, but they might be the perfect brand. for Sup Forums anyway

lenovo does a lot of scummy bullshit, but a lot of it is reversible if you know what you're doing. linux or even just a fresh windows install will wipe out the dumb bloatware/spyware crap they pre-load.

the hardware is boring off-the-shelf components everyones seen before, which often makes them more linux compatible and easily replaceable.

they've been fucking up the thinkpad line for 5 years. but they aren't financially bulletproof and can be forced to reverse a bad design decision if enough dorks throw a tantrum about it. the 40 series trackpoint non-buttons were scrapped in a single line refresh because they'd lose sales. they're still considering a retro line to placate the most vocal nerds. apple isn't going to even pretend to listen to your complaints and the dells and acers of the world are just gonna ape whatever apple's doing.

>Literally spies on you

The proper ThinkPads (T,W,X,P) have never had any of the spyware and rootkits installed in the consumer grade laptops.

That would be suicide for them as they'd lose every single corporate client they have overnight.

Modern ThinkPads are still shit, though.

Literally owned by commie chinks!

Pre-installed root certs so they can spy on you through MITM attack. The same cert was used by malware to spy on you as well.

Pre-installed other kinds of malaware:

How's Ubuntu on your yoga? I had issues a while back when I installed 14.04 on my Yoga 3 14. Any driver issues?

There used to be issues with the touchpad, wifi, touchscreen, back in like Jan 2016 and then the new kernel came out and everything just started to work
The only thing that isn't working is the rotation and rotation lock button, if I press it just puts an o
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Their Android stuff is good, since they merged/bought Motorola.

I have a love/hate relationship with my G50-45, but it runs well enough to do basic office stuff and light gaming, which is all in need it for. Battery life is utter shit, I'm lucky if I can get two hours on a full charge.

I also have a Tab 2 a10-70f, and I love it. Incredibly good battery life, and does everything that I can do on my laptop aside from gaming.

While we're talking about Chinknovo, does anybody have any experience with the Yoga Book? I thought it was a pretty neat design.

No, they're a disgrace for what they did to ThinkPads.

Who is this semen demon?
