Trying virtualization with virt-manager running windows 10 on a debian host. Network isnt working when I try to make one in virt-manager, I get this error: Error creating virtual network: internal error: Failed to apply firewall rules /sbin/iptables -w --table nat --insert POSTROUTING --source 192.168.100.0/24 '!' --destination 192.168.100.0/24 --out-interface eth0 --jump MASQUERADE: iptables v1.6.0: can't initialize iptables table `nat': Table does not exist (do you need to insmod?) Perhaps iptables or your kernel needs to be upgraded.
I can run iptables as a command, but it is not started as a module. Should I have one. I am running a custom kernel so this vm thing works. Virt-manager is being run as root.
Daniel Bell
>df is not a good game Well focking hell lads we got a pleb on board
Nolan Wright
Because Linux is just a kernel.
cd -, shit bricks
Colton Russell
Linux has support for plenty of games, and df is fantastic. Please stop spreading bad memes in this friendly thread.
Jordan Harris
df is a meme you tards, stop lying to yourself its good.
Jace Ortiz
i'm 99% sure iptables is integral with linux? have you tried using the debian supported kernel and running it on there?
Easton Robinson

>Linux has support for plenty of games If you enjoy quake clones and shitty 90s games. No support for modern games. Games is where linux is absoulte trash at and always will be.

So is it true that bash was made by an african american?
Julian Evans
cmon man just leave. there are certainly plenty of your favorite steam games available on linux. just go have a snack and take a nap, you need some r&r.
Kayden Wood
I just recently enjoyed hotline miami, is it from the 90s?. Yes, check wikipedia, there's a picture of him.
Landon Kelly
guys this is a friendly thread
Jeremiah Lee
Is there a replacement for bash?
Brandon Cooper
What does zsh offer over bash? is it a drop-in replacement, compatibility-wise?
Joseph Cruz
Why?
Elijah Taylor
use sh or fish, user.
Justin Parker
you can put a sticker on your macbook that you use zsh.
Luke Thomas
Starting my first rodeo with Arch. I've had absolutely zero issues so far. Feels good man.
Austin Rivera
Better autocomplete. That's basically it.
Owen Ortiz
when i try to configure my i3status bar i get this error "error status_command process exited unexpectedly (exit 1)" restarting or setting the config file back to normal don't help how can i fix that ?
Ian Williams
Thanks for telling us.
Matthew Adams
I think half negro only.
His father is white so his mother got bleached and pufff that's how bash was conceived
There's an error in the .i3bar_config you dummy. Go fix it.
Luis Phillips
Give it about a week for it to shit itself.
Daniel Powell

Logan Clark
Better autocomplete, wasn't made by a.
Matthew Cooper
Nigger why on earth are you asking me? I haven't seen the config
Ayden Ramirez
there's something wrong with your i3_status. try changing the status script to something else, check the arch wiki. I think there's a template there?
I use debian, man. take a chill pill
Elijah Morgan
Arch linux is the best linux distro there is. You get the latest packages and the largest community. I see no reason to use distros like Ubuntu or Fedora.
Noah Adams

sh isn't a shell, fish isn't even POSIX compatible There is only bash or zsh to choose from, everything else is a joke and imho zsh is pretty much completly bloated (it even has a fucking tetris game).
Jeremiah Rogers
>POSIX compatible useless SHIT. also I'm willing to bet my penis on you not knowing what this is or what this implies
Austin Thomas
>solarized I just threw up a little. >what? it's common, good colorsheme! everyone is using it! just like arch and zsh!
Henry Brown
isnt sh called bourne ((shell))
Owen Adams
The truth has been spoken.
Blake Cruz
sh usually links to a posix shell, for example on debian to dash on arch to bash in posix mode
Samuel Thompson
whats the *BSD one then
Sebastian Garcia
>isn't even POSIX compatible Why do you feel like this is relevant?
Evan Wilson
Broken scripts, incompatibility.
Gavin Peterson
Exactly. You always get the latest packages. Not outdated packages the other distros suffer from. What a load of shit the other distros can't even have the latest versions.
Nolan Powell
fedora rawhide offers this too!
Adrian King
Why do you feel like this is relevant to most people? I don't care about your shitty scripts and I'm not planning on using them, keep them to yourself.
Hudson Roberts
Smaller repos, beta testing for redhat (unstable) and is bloated.
Anthony Torres
You're running shell scripts all the time. Learn your system.
Kevin King
you're trying too hard
Jaxson Miller
It may surprise you but "most people" actually use unix-like operating systems akin to linux in production environments and not to screw around on a personal desktop machines (there are operating systems for that)
bash was "in the right place in the right time" which allowed it to become the most widely used shell today and therefore has the most scripts written for it.
For vast majority of actual *nix users compatibility with bash is an absolute must.
Gavin Lewis
You're doing something horribly wrong, or you're not running Stable and shit's broken.
$ bash $ echo 1 && echo 2 1 2 $ fish Welcome to fish, the friendly interactive shell Type help for instructions on how to use fish % echo 1 && echo 2 fish: Expected a command name, got token of type “Run job in background”. I'm using a browser called "surf" from suckless.org. How do I make it my default browser?
Andrew Stewart
suckless.org is satire, the programs aren't made for actual use.
Henry Ward
Sure that's true by raw volume, but there are still tens of millions of Linux desktop users out there, and there are people like me who fit both categories. Calm your autism.
Mason Bennett
lmao
making a default browser can be a little tricky. look into xdg defaults, and setting defaults for mime types.
James Clark
"Linux desktop" what's that?
Jackson Reyes
why are you even arguing? if your shit was broken because of what you're fighting against, you'd be singing a different tune. stop being so contrariant, dude.
Camden Wood
a desktop enviroment developed by linus torvalds
Michael Jones
What I would do is go into your i3status.conf and comment out one thing at a time, save and restart to find out where the problem is.
Code related. Put a # in front of a line to prevent it from running. The stuff below won't matter as long as you comment it out in this section.
order += "volume master" #order += "disk /" #order += "disk /home" #order += "run_watch DHCP" #order += "ipv6" #order += "run_watch VPN" order += "wireless wlp4s0" #order += "ethernet enp0s25" order += "battery 1" #order += "cpu_temperature 1" order += "cpu_usage 0" #order += "load" order += "tztime local"
Or you could just try throwing a whole new config in there. Here's mine.
How do I copy paste something from one gimp and put it to a new gimp as the size of the clipboard? Like, for example: let's say I want to take a full screen shot of my desktop and then copy paste just the terminal?

How can I save/print Zenmap scans as formatted .HTML? I've successfully used xalan to do this in the past, but it doesn't seem to work any longer. Is there a better way? I'm trying to save/print out scans exactly the way they appear within Zenmap.
Jonathan Cook
It's shite. Didn't even bother including it.
