Thinking of getting my very first chinkphone. My last two phones were a Moto G and a Samsung Galaxy Rugby pro. I'm ready for something much, much better.
At the moment I'm with AT&T but I'm thinking of switching to Verizon. I've read the sticky, done a little research, and I think I know what I want, but I want to hear what you Sup Forumsuys recommend before I buy anything.

My frontrunners right now are the Xiaomi Mi5 and the Redmi Note 4. Is Xiaomi really memefone or are they decent? Is there anything else I should consider?

Any HTC10 users here use a custom ROM? How the fuck do I update firmware myself? Please help

Is there or on /vg any place, where discuss mobile games like su0.ru/TpOt ?

>Xiaomi Mi5 and the Redmi Note 4
None of them will work in the USA. not on AT&T and definitely not on Verizon.

The RN3P will sorta work on AT&T with B2 and B4 but that's about it.

RN3P or LeEco Le 2? The Leeco is around $130.

Any Oneplus 3/3T users in here?
Whats the best screen protector to get?
Also case if you have one

RN3P no doubt.
SD slot, 3.5mm jack and MiUI>EUI.

How do you like your OP3T(assuming you have one since you're looking for a screen protector)? I have my eyes on it. Everything seems good except for the reported screen latency and poor wifi connectivity.

what's the current state of xiaomi.eu roms ? I'm to finally unlock my bootloader today, but I like MIUI so i'd like to try xiaomi.eu first.

rn3p 2/16gb that is

It's a bit less fucky than official miui but still a ram hog. It's definitely worth a try if you like miui but want a bit less chink botnet in it.

Where does Sup Forums buy their Redmi's?

thanks, some more free ram for thew 2gb versoin would be nice :)

LeEco has shit software. Same as ZUK, avoid until you can get official CM on them.

Not him, but I have a OP3, and it's pretty good. Haven't noticed any screen latency, and WiFi seems to work well everywhere except on my home network, but that's mostly because of our shitty ISP-provided router. Also you can install Kali Nethunter on it which is pretty cool

Any news on the Zuk Z3? Pls no shill answers.

So what are the best specs to price phones out now?

Is there an android app that can make periodic backups of specific folders on my phone?

Homtom HT7 pro vs Oukitel k4000
go

Is the Zefone 3 any good? I have a Moto X 2014 and just found out I will be gifted a Zenfone 3 from my job.

lg v10 900
Good choice for the price range?

I've got a 3.5 year old galaxy s4 with cm13 on it that does what I need it to do, except camera is a bit sub par.
Feeling that I want to upgrade before it inevitably dies, however.

If you were me, would you wait until the next batch of 2017 phones before you upgrade, or go with what's already been released?

(Looking at Op3t Honor 8 and HTC 10)

HT17 Pro. 7 a shit.

Pretty sure at least RN3P gets LTE on T-Mobile

Wait for MWC 2017.

Unless your phone is already starting to shit the bed, wait for the 2017 annoucements. At the very least you'll get some nice discount in last year's flagships

Just bought an OP3T and starting to feel buyer's remorse. For its price I haven't felt the wow factor.

Or maybe after 2 years with MIUI I'm just too used with its workflow. Missing my dl speed notification, quick access to brightness slider, not using drawers, and starting to notice the difference between 441ppi and 401ppi.

The phase will pass I guess.

HTC 10 NOUGAT IN EUROPE WHEN

Thanks y'all

Did you need to pay customs or VAT?

Really?
Why is it better than 7?
They look pretty much the same

MT6737 1.3Ghz+Android 6.0 vs. MT6735 1.0Ghz+Android 5.1.

Nice
thanks
I wonder why no one put it in under 100$ guide

It hasn't been updated in a while and /csg/ won't let anyone edit it.

So is redmi note 4 good? With mediatek and shit instead of snapdragon.

no. RN3P is better.

>Missing my dl speed notification
There's apps and a xposed module for that, search "network speed indicator"

>quick access to brightness slider
This should be in the quick settings on the notification bar, if not then there's an setting to put it back. also on cm13 you can change brightness by sliding your finger on the status bar

>not using drawers
Just put your apps on the home screen or download a launcher without an app drawer

>and starting to notice the difference between 441ppi and 401ppi.
You can always change the display density

Why hasn't a single person here or on /csg/ bought a redmi 4A yet? Specs seem fine for a $80-90 phone

I'll buy it if its better than H17 pro

can i install cyanogenmod in korean version note 4? (SM-N916L) i'm googling some shit and only saw US version information
stock marshmallow firmware anyway
> +i'm worry about fuck up

kimovil.com/en/compare/homtom-ht17-pro,xiaomi-redmi-4a

It is unless you prefer 5.5" over 5".

After all my years of buying android phones i can say this with certainty. If it's not a samsung product don't buy it. Samsung is the only manufacturer that actually makes decent budget phones.

LG and Motorolla are SHIT. Avoid them at all costs.

Some ZTE's are ok though.

My Blade 3 is still alive since the release day
Its shit, but ZTE has quality phones

Anyone? Anything?

FolderSync
Dropsync

>Samsung
>better than anything

>Samsung
>Budget
>Decent
You wot m8?

Touchjizz works like fucking shit even on their high end stuff, imagine how bad it is in their budget phones.

Can they simple make a copy onto an SD card, though?

I've had a Samsung s4 mini since it came out early 2013.

Shit's been bitching till this summer

Dropped it at least once a day and the screen cracked just a little bit on a corner after 2 years of abuse. And it's still functional, albeit not the fastest

Since september however the usb and jack ports are loose and shit unplugs at the slightest movement, only complain I have, thats why I wanna change

I just don't want a flagship and the A5, seems subpar

So i'm considering the LG G5...

Best way to control app permissions?
Have a chink root on 5.1 but I don't want it interfacing with the network at all.

AFWall+ (firewall, root) doesn't seem to be the answer or I have configured incorrectly.
Thought I could just nuke the network access permissions.

that was a good phone

Well shit. Thanks for the heads up. I guess I'm stuck with Samsung bloatphones.

I'm very new to android and I assume it's capable of playing all sorts of video files like .mkv unlike my old phone.

What's the best software for this sort of use? I haven't rooted it and I probably won't any time soon, I'm too old to get excited about fiddling with shit and just stick to comfy vanilla so preferably something in the google store.

MX Player or VLC.

walmart is selling samsung galaxy S5 straight talk phones for only 200$, but it only has android 4.4. If I buy one how can I update it to android 6?

AFWall+ should work for this. You set the firewall mode to 'Allow selected', tick the apps that should have internet access and then tap 'Save' and 'Enable firewall'.

Why would you but that old POS anyway? get a Moto G4 that already has Nougat.

it's only 200$. what's bad about it?

It's an old, laggy, deprecated piece of trash.

Know of any way to get a hold of a 3T by xmas? Or are we not seeing it until 2017?

I heard that best buy will update phones but I don't know it that's true.

I'm still using a S3 and don't have any problems. It's not laggy at all

>tfw you betray stallman and convert to the chink botnet

wew, sorry rich, I just can't go back to living without 1080p

Just got a Moto G4 Plus for my dad. Breddy gud phone for its price, the fingerprint sensor is faster than my 6P's, everything is smooth as fuck and the camera is pretty decent.

bought mi max 32gb for 250 jewros

did i fuck up? works fine so far

>TFW no stable custom ROMs for Blu R1 HD
It was almost worth $60 and a bit of adware removal.

I ordered the tempered glass protector from OnePlus as part of the "essentials" bundle. It came preinstalled when I unboxed the phone too and so far it's held up beautifully.

yea blu phones have no roms at all for some reason

post tfw you didn't buy a pissxel

youtu.be/7ZH8lLFRWN4

>250 jewels
How so expensive? Cheapest price for 3gb/32gb Mi Max is 170€ according to kimovil.com

Tried the CM 14.1 nightlies yet?

wtf

What do you all think about the Huawei Nova Plus?

serb trash

when i tell people how much i paid they say "wew so cheap"

>tfw there's still some bugs on CM14.1 for the Redmi Note 3 Pro
I miss how bugless ROMs were on my Nexus 5

>tfw I installed a 7.0 ROM the second day Nougat was released (but not for my Nexus 5)
>tfw pretty much everything worked

At least CM13 works fine

Isn't the front fingerprint sensor weird? It's like a broken home button

I cant train my google voice model, because whenever i say "OK, Google" to train it, Google activates again. Pls halp?

It is pretty weird but my dad's gotten used to it fairly quickly.

I'm looking at chinkphones around 200 Canadian pesos. I've been considering these phones:
Redmi 3S
Ulefone Power

Things I want in a phone:
SD card
Headphone jack
3GB RAM
Long battery life

delet this

Redmi Note 3 Pro tbqh f@m

Dont buy the MTK version. It sucks. LIke really bad. At least for tinkerers.

That's why I said Pro

The SD650 version is is colloquially known as the RN3 Pro

I never messed with any of that

That crackling is the sound of shekels saved by cutting engineering costs! Try to be more understanding!

lg g4 or samsung j7?

both are shit
>LG G4
bootloops

>Galaxy J7
Random samsung mid range phone #43546 there's never going to see an update

also the SD617 is pretty terrible

also the G4 has shit battery life

>bootloops
yeah i heard it's a problematic phone but its camera and screen looked neat for its price
can you suggest some more smartphones around same price range?

Xiaomi Mi5?

i'm looking for a durable and reliable phone that can be used for long time
i don't want to waste my money on chinkshit

How about a used Galaxy S6 or Xperia Z5?

theres a guy selling his used mi5s for $400 canadian. should I get?

No? It's cheaper new.

kimovil.com/en/where-to-buy-xiaomi-mi5s

>Adware built in out of the box
What the fuck senpai.

Adware version was cheaper. Took 10 minutes to flash the adware free stock ROM and block Amazon updates.

It would have worked out perfectly if there was a working CM ROM.

Should I get the
>Google Pixel (regular)
>Samsung Galaxy S7 (non-edge)
>LG V20
>HTC 10
Currently on AT&T, don't plan to switch just for this. Which one would be my best option?
