Which Distro For Anonymity?

I am buying a raspberry pi 3 and debating which distro to get to put on it. I am thinking Kali because I am an extremely curious person and like learning new technologies(hacking for good or simple curiosity). What do you guys consider good distros for anonymity unlike Ubuntu?

hannah montana linux

OSX or W10 is best m8

Install Gentoo

What on earth does Kali Linux have

>Anonymity
Tails

It's a meme distro for "pen-testers"

>Which Distro For Anonymity?
this is the time when the meme gets real, if is a rapsberry install gentoo and do "hardened"

warning, you will take time to learn and compiling

>Kali
>for anonymity
>not Tails

tails, whonix, or openBSD

You're kind of looking at it backwards. You want the lightest install you can put on your Pi, but configure it with what you need for what you want to do. It's not about "hurrdurrr im'a distro dis bitch up and MAGIK! me am an l337z h4XX0rz!"

Get good, like linux from scratch good. Put only the most elegant of the best into your personal configuration.

Start with these books:

You won't need to ask advices after you work your way through those.

Whonix.

What does Kali Linux have to do with anonymity? That's like trying to stay anonymous by breaking into a house... If anything it just makes you stand out more and more people are interested to see who you are. Kali Linux does not have any protection against that, it's a pen testing tool. (which is why nobody serious installs it on anything other than a USB drive. If you want to install a distribution then get something you can use properly. Not just a bunch of pen testing tools)

Best anonymity distro is tails, but that should also ONLY be used on a USB or else you don't get the benefits (which is why the tails logo is a USB drive). If you want a normal distribution with above average security pre-installed then get Qubes OS, which Snowden apparently use.

Pen and paper. Get books. Don't search for knowledge is information, live in the woods and kill your food. If someone gets near, make sure they see you taking a dump. They'll think "gross." and leave. Then move farther out.

If you are moving a lot and don't have a Laptop and using someone else computer TAILS

if for a personal computer use QUBES OS.

Gentoo works for me. It's a great toy for people interested in tinkering around, and it's actually a great daily driver if you understand the package manager, kernel compilation, etc. Doesn't default to SystemD but gives you the choice. Use flags help you build different programs or entire system without certain dependencies.

However if I was in an environment that needed to install apps quickly, like a laptop I wouldn't think of it.

One of the biggest turnoffs for me with Gentoo originally was that its kernel defaults to proprietary support, but I learned their hardened kernel allows for you to de-blob it (but it probably won't work with more recent hardware. Some companies won't release firmware for their devices and so it requires reverse engineers.)

If you want to use GPU pass through for gaming don't use the de-blobed kernel

tldr; install Gentoo

Tails is an OS by the tor project, probably hardened for anonymity.
On the other hand, probably gentoo, FreeBSD or OpenBSD. Depends on what you want on your pc. Most programs are written for Linux so maybe Gentoo is a good option, but if you don't need much, either of the BSDs can be a good choice too.
If you want to learn "hacking" technologies and so on, I'd suggest that you instead learn C. Gentoo is also good for learning some of the important parts of an Operatin System from an administrator's point of view, at least you learn that they exist.
Kali is not a good idea, it's just a bloatware of useless tools you'll never use and that you could install on any other OS. Also they're high-level tools, they don't teach you anything. You learn by first learning C and how the memory operates, how binaries are outlaid, how network connectivity works, and some crypto basics, etc. Imagine having a multimeter and not knowing the first thing about electric currents. That's Kali, or rather, those are kali tools.

Best thing to do is install whatever, and
man tcpdump
man readelf
man objdump
man xxd
and so on

this is a good idea too.

Though if you use pen and paper you probably want kali because it's for pen testers :^) kill me

>Snowden uses it

But he's never done anything anonymously. He got caught the second he leaked his shit.

>suggesting BSD
Otherwise your post is accurate, very.

He only used it after he was caught. Which is why he is not arrested

Whonix running in QubesOS.

arch is unironically the best in terms of privacy and anonymity
use openrc or another init system instead of nsad though

is dat da haker know as reddit?

>hannah montana linux
>mfw I googled it and found that it exists
what the actual fuck

In case you didn't know, Hannah Montana Linux is one of the most underrated and best distros.
It's not receiving much attention on Sup Forums only because some people don't like its looks.

Kali is not good for anonymity. It's made for stuff like penetration testing.

If you want anonymity you might want to use tails.

I heard the systemd developers use hannah montana linux, is this correct?

What do you think inspired Justin Beiber Linux?
