XFS vs EXT4?

Which one is better? Which one do you prefer?

ext4 all the way because I have no need for any of the features of xfs

EXT4

it's tested to destruction and therefore more stable.

NTFS

Fuck off wintoddler

BTRFS

Who RaiserFS here?

Requesting that comic of reiser asking torvalds if he's got any lime

I have a lot of files in directories and subdirectories, I don't think XFS can handle it.

interesting. so what's XFS then good for?

NTFS

Handling large files for what I know, like large databases. EXT4 is for file quantity and nested directories.

Xfs can handle anything except shrinking. Potentially will replace btrfs and maybe ext4 in the future.

XFS for large media storage(if you cant use ZFS)
ext* for many smaller files

i just wish xfs could be shrunk, it's a deal breaker for me

Xfs is great for storing fuckhuge files (eg qemu sparse files).
I also use xfs for root while I tend to use btrfs for normal storage.

this. its literally ext4 but btr

>cant use ZFS
Can Linux even boot ZFS?

Yes, but ZFS is for faggots.

FAT32

permissions and multiple-terabyte drives are for bitches, and honestly, what kind of bluray ripping weeb needs to keep single files larger than 4GB

0/10

full retard much

XFS is supposed to be superior the more threads you have. It does lack the ability to be shrunk though if for some reason you need that.
