How does Sup Forums feel about the Cinnamon DE ?

It wants to be Windows so badly you may as well just use Windows.

comfy AF

You can't be this retarded

a cobbled together, amateur mess

It's what Gnome 3 should have been.

Pretty good desu

Less comfier than GNOME

Best DE there is.

Why is terminal shit so good looking? It's blocky as fuck.

In no way does it want to be Windows. It's functional, don't have ads, no forced restarts, no stupid tile-view and hidden settings.

I think XFCE is more customizable, but out of the box cinnamon looks better.

I wish there was an easier way to make the panel transparent without fucking with the themes themselves.

That is slick af

More comfy*

Mind posting that wallpaper on the bottom right of your file manager?

I love the way it looks and feels but every time I install it on my Ubuntu machine it freezes after rebooting

Thanks user

>not using openbox

I find that it's a lot less stable than KDE, XFCE and LXDE (the only others I've used)
The settings menus are also terrible. The monitor adjustments are missing several important settings, which required me to use a custom xrandr command to set my monitors up.

Other than that, it's pretty good. Definitely better than Windows, apart from the few stability issues I had with it, on LMDE.

>2 bars
y dey do dis

i feel nothing about it because i haven't tried it

Install cinnamon mint 17.3
Hey it's breddy gud.
Install cinnamon mint 18.
OK. A few changes. Still werks gud.
Install linux mint 18.1. Wtf is this? Omg they completely fucked it. Oh wait, I accidently the Mate version.

What browser is that, and how do I make it look like that?

I like it because it is decently flexible in terms of keyboard shortcuts, but otherwise stays out of my way. The fact that I don't think about it much is a huge plus.

Its my favourite DE.

I like it.

>2016
>copying the windows 95 paradigm

Why? There are more efficient ways to manage windows
>dock approach (mac, gnome)
>taskbar/dock hybrid (windows 7+)

The window list in taskbar doesn't make sense
>click on launcher at (x,y) coordinates
>windows opens
>to get back to the window you to click at (x+d1,y) coordinates, d1>0
>open some more windows
>you have to click at (x+d1+d2,y) coordinates, d2∈R

It's so random and inefficient
