How the fuck do I install a Bluetooth device in Windows 7?
I bought this Insignia USB Bluetooth Adapter but Windows can't find the driver automatically, and when I follow the instructions to the site there's only XP, 8, and 10 drivers.
This is fucking bullshit.

"So you're claiming your technician didn't install malware on our computers when you were the last ones to work on them. OK, so tell me how our lab computer could have malware on it if our IT people tell us those computers are only accessing Russian porn sites between the house of 10PM and 2AM? "
Seriously. The customer claimed we installed malware that accessed porn sites during late nights in the lab.

What I want to do is this: Have two OS on the save HDD, and a space they can both access, like the same files and shit.
How do I install a second OS and choose which OS I want on startup?
If you're using windows install it first.
Then install linux second, let grub prob the windows install.Change which os loads first via grub config

Move on to real languages like LISP, C, RUST, and HASKELL.

How do I make anime look the best on a 4k monitor?
I've got Windows 7 on my T420, and I wanna toss either Debian, Ubuntu or that new Pixel OS on it, I'm undecided.
I find Savage to be more entertaining and varied than Rush. He also supported Trump since forever, whereas Rush is buddy-buddy with the RINOs, which is troubling in this day and age.
I guess it's true that Jews are better at everything.
format the drive
install windows
shrink the partition so you have extra space
install linux you like, it will detect windows and show you bootmenu on start
during install create only single root partition, no swap partition, no separate home, no bullshit
then create manually swap file and add it to fstab
wiki.archlinux.org
you got clean separation of system
now you can also create some extra partition for Data, it needs to be ext4 so its accessible on both system
flag in fstb about "windows_names" is very useful, so linux wont allow you to name shit there ::???=--=faggot?!?!?:::===--
which windows could not deal with
I'm setting up my first SSD + HDD system, never used an SSD before.
How bad is the lifespan of SSD when it comes to the frequent writing of data to them?
I plan to put my OS's (Win 7 for gaming and some software + some Linux distro for programming and work) on SSD. I also want to put more demanding games on an SSD, but what's with the frequent saving, like writing to the drive with an autosave every turn in a turn-based strategy? Is it going to severely limit the lifespan of the drive?
>58156354
>it needs to be ext4 so its accessible on both system
fuck, I am drunk?
it needs to be ntfs
You had around 1 petabyte of data written before it goes bad.The current gen arent shit like the old ones
no
depending on the size of your drive and model
you can write terrabytes a day and it will last you decades

Yesterday I asked about tips for cleaning my laptop for the first time.
I managed to do it, but almost fucked it up completely.
Removing the mobo required too much effort and I didn't do it.
I thought that I broke my CPU or GPU by electrostatic at first, because when it turned on nothing happened, not even a BIOS post.
After taking it apart and back three times I managed to get it work, but I still don't know why this happened.
I'm not sure if I placed the screws in the correct places and the wifi switch broke, so now my wifi will always be on. No fucks given about the switch though.
is there any downsides to just getting windows 10 via the media creation kit and not using a product key?
i know there's a watermark and you can't directly personalize, otherwise are there any other downsides that make it not worth it?
What is Windows 7 supposedly doing when I check for updates?
I installed SP1 and most of the critical security updates about 3 months ago, and ever since I've been unable to update my system further.
When I press the "check for updates" button my system just keeps hogging CPU usage, filling up the ram, hardly doing any disk activity, and there's little to no network activity, pic related has been running for 21 hours on an i7 laptop with no sign of any updates, I already ran this shit for 48 hours once.
Is there any logical explanation for this bullshit or is it just business as usual from the windows 95 days?
1060 does have a 3GB variant (with cut down core too), and the 960 was available in 4GB too, so it's not that huge a change.
1060 is nearly twice as fast as a 960, so it's not surprising that it comes with a good bit more RAM too
you should have read first the supported systems of the device
music or video?
check if it's the laptop speaker's fault by connecting a headset/headphone and if the audio is normal
mega.co.nz
qbittorrent has a built-in search function with lots of preconfigured trackers / search engines
It's bullshit as usual.
Try resetting it support.microsoft.com
Strictly speaking it's not legal. If you don't mind that, why not just pirate it properly.
after Pentadactyl stopped working for me, I switched to Vimperator, but for some reason, Sup Forums X's keybinds don't work as long as Vimperator is enabled.
I've checked for any conflicting keybinds, but it doesn't matter what I set them to in Sup Forums X, none of them work.
Any ideas as to why?
Building a basic PC using on-board graphics.
When I turn it on there is no display signal at all, can't even see the bios.
The motherboard and RAM are new and untested but all the other components and hardware are tested and work fine. What could be wrong?

I had the exact same problem with mine a while back, and the way I fixed it was checking for updates, then leaving it do its thing for a couple hours while I went to work

Is your monitor on the correct input method?
I don't want to risk torrenting on my universities internet, trying to figure out the cheapest way to get around it, either getting a seedbox or a VPN.
Any suggestions?
Will a powerline adapter fix my internet? I moved into an apartment and my gaming keeps lagging!

Hey Sup Forums I'm starting my classes on C++ and I'm wondering how much math I'll need to know going in. Highest math I've taken was a business calculus meme class
I replaced the switches on my Deathadder and now if I tighten the screws too tightly, the button doesn't, it's just constantly pressed.
Is there something I can do about this? Seems like the doubleclick is still a thing regardless of the switch.
basic algebra is find since the class will probably focus more on syntax and standard APIs

I'm getting a 403 error when I submit my forms that I wrote in html. The action is a php script and the method is post.
VLC had improved a lot.
I used to be an MPC-HC fag but when I needed to watch some animu that requires fast switching of subtitles and audio tracks via keyboard shortcuts, I tried VLC and was very impressed with it (as well as the overall performance and quality and etc). Now I'm using VLC as my default.
michael savage is a fucking nutjob asshole
Is the KCP still the best codec pack for MPC-HC?
I lost a shit ton of fire fox tabs after i closed the window on the restore session screen and resarting my computer. Any chance i can get my tabs back?
history?
restore previous session button is greyed out
I found some posts talking about a .js file thing, and found 3 of those files. Any clue on trying to use that to restore my tabs and tab groups?
Start using Session Manager add-on.
Thanks, will do. That should help for future fuck ups. Now how do I unfuck myself right now?
Hope you have a recent backup of your profile folder somewhere to restore.
Or check your history.
I got a lenovo y700 with UEFI and Windows 10. It has an HDD and a SSD drive.
I want to do the following in this order:
1) Deactivate the product key on Windows 10 on the off chance that I will ever need it.
2) Purge that spyware of my laptop.
3) Install Windows 7 64 bit, but on the SSD only, with access to HDD for storage too.
4) Setup a recovery partition for Win7 on the HDD (or should it rather be on the SSD?).
5) Update Win7 sans the telemetry.
6) (later) Set aside some space on the SSD and Install a Linux distro on it.
Is it doable and how much of a hassle will it be? I would just google a tutorial, but it's suprisingly hard to find a proper one, with my case being so convoluted all over the place.
I'm kind of nervous that I will fuck things up because I've never messed with operating systems before.
To make things harder, I can't open the laptop up, because of the warranty stickers - will that screw with my hard drives endeavors?
Any comments on linux friendliness of the y700 and win7 drivers for it especially welcome.
Can you help me decide on a Plex server build that would have at most 3 1080p streams at one time? I've been extremely wishy washy on choosing parts. Just want a low power machine that will be reliable. Quiet would be a bonus.
Is Corsair a good brand?
Anyone have experience with getting Steam cards from Gamestop? I got one about 30 minutes ago from the cute gril manager, she gave me a receipt that matches the card number, so I know it's in their system. But when I try to activate it on steam I get pic-related.
I called up and asked them about it and the lady said after they print the receipt it that means it has already been activated, so I have to call steam support instead (kek). Except that the error on Steam is telling me I need to go back to the retailer if problems persist.
Is there a waiting period before I can activate? How many hours does it take? Could it be Steam's servers having bottle-necking issues due to the holidays? Should I go ask for a refund before Gamestop closes? If I have to wait a couple of days I might as well have just waited for Paypal's 3-5 business days transfer. I was hoping cash would speed things up and put money immediately into my Steam wallet.
Video games and electronic funds/cards are technolo/g/y, so this post should still be on topic.
>be installing windows 10 on new pc
>don't have optical drive so no place to put discs
>using USB instead, one for Windows one for the MBs drivers
>in bios mouse and keyboard freeze
>bios isn't frozen and screen isn't frozen (temperatures and clock time changes)
How did I screw this up. My biggest bet is I did something stupid like moving the flash drives into different ports (issues getting the driver flash drive to be recognized).
How fix pls help.
Also I have tried turning the pc off and on as well as hitting the reset button. I have also tried unplugging the mouse and keyboard and plugging them back in (both in the original and different USB ports)
Ram? Yes
Keyboards? No
PSU? Yes
Fuck! I was just looking at one of their keyboards. Thanks for your answer though.
Get a mechanical from ducky
I'm not some sort of keyboard enthusiast though. I'm a gaymer and I kinda need some macro keys.
They are ok keyboards, but i would advocate getting a different brand. If you just need it for gamer trash, then its an ok board for gamer trash
I mean its not a razer board lol.
I need to recover a delete video file off my rooted note 5.
I'm on linux, and the phone has been shut down since the deletion.
I'm reading that it's certainly possible using photorec but it needs the internal storage to be mounted as exactly that, mass storage. I don't know how to do that since android connects via MPT etc.
I can use the android SDK to make a dump of the internal storage and then mount that, but still, I don't know how to do that. How do I make an image of the internal memory and have it saved on my PC?
I'm hoping for a shortcut/fast guide for this. Anything?
Should I invest a bit of money in bitcoin? I looked at the value of bitcoin over the past year, and it seems to consistently increase in value over time. Are there any potential negative consequences of buying say like $50 of bitcoin, and waiting like a year or so then trade it back in for cash? I've thought about this for a while, and it seems like it would be a way to make a bit of dough over a year or so. I've never used bitcoin before though, so I may be missing something obvious.
Thanks, anons.
