Why is HP the only manufacturer that cares about aesthetics AND functionality in 2016?
Why is HP the only manufacturer that cares about aesthetics AND functionality in 2016?
now if they could just leave out the bloatware and include a nice gpu, they'd be perfect
Bloatware is super easy to deal with. Just reinstall windows.
>aesthetics
Looks like a 8 year old macbook.
>flimsy keyboard
>full of bloat
>stupid restrictions on hardware
>low res screen with shit colors and thinkpad viewing angles
>breaks in 2 years
>garbage touchpad
HP is probably the worst
Looks like a laptop from more than a decade ago.
>Why is HP the only manufacturer that cares about aesthetics AND functionality in 2016
lol HP shill I stopped liking HP after the fact that my laptop (a gift) started becoming retarded, and is full of HP bloatware
>the joy you feel as you fill out paperwork to have HP named as the defendant in a class action suit
Fuckin' piece of shit Spectre x360 screens.
Other than the fact that they're both laptops, they look nothing alike.
Get your eyes checked.
>70 Degrees Celcius
>Battery dies in a matter of months
>C O P P E R A C C E N T S
Fuck off. It looks like it's covered in gold spray paint.
Looks tacky. Dell gets it right. Simple and sleek.
This. Posting from an XPS 15
That bezel looks disgusting.
ASUS has the best aesthetics
What? How? It barely there except for the bottom, and if you're complaining about that then fuck off you need clearance between the keyboard and the screen.
and libreboot
Shut up OP.
A couple of years ago Sup Forums developed this autistic habit of complaining about bezels. It's not going away.
>gaudy shit only a nigger would use
>aesthetic
Can't argue there.
>getting thinner as the laptop nears the front
Absolutely retarded design / excuse to have a smaller battery.
As if the laptop would be too thick / heavy if it was the same width as the rear throughout.
I've had an HP laptop for two years now and so far I've had to replace the HDD and the battery.
Fuck HP and their shit quality components.
Bottom bezel too big, side and top bezels too small.
A uniform bezel looks much better.
Get a Vaio lifestyle
Your taste can't possibly be this bad.
>That bezel looks disgusting.
A solid 9/10 on the autism scale.
>implying
I like their touchpads and keyboards. Much nicer than Dell usually.
Well meme'd
Found your dream machine
Please.
Pic related is the same model but different color option.
I have one of the hp omen laptops. Plenty of people be mirin it when I take it to their house to play dota/bf1 or whatever.
Shits sexy m8.
That's one beautiful laptop.
Despite the hinge looking like some dwarven technological wonder because of its size, the screen doesn't even open 360 degrees. It's purely cosmetic.
>describes every mainstream consumer device
>only calls out HP
Dell and Asus both make equally as shit consumer disposable laptops.
>Absolutely retarded design / excuse to have a smaller battery.
Yet the XPS 13 still has a 60Wh battery while everyone else uses 35Wh-50Wh and the XPS 13 is also the smallest 13" laptop available.
Asus maybe, but Dells last fucking forever.
hp is shit
that thing will last few weeks
Why is Lenovo so bad at Design and Marketing?
JEsus Christ that is hideous
I've still got a HP with an AMD processor, turion x2.
Battery still lasts 2 hours, and it gets warm but doesn't throttle.
Fantastic keyboard and touchpad too, textured with dimples.
Love it.
Found the autist.
>posting consumer trash
HP also makes the only good business class laptop too.
No others offer a 12.5 inch that's upgradable to a 4c8t i7
>rounded corners
>size of a boat
>glossy screen
nah bro I'm sweet
Also has glass touchpad, and very efficient cooling built in.
Ships with 35w cpu but can handle 45w quad cores without getting too hot.
Clevo W110CR is better. 11.6" laptop that's barely thicker than a typical netbook.
Quad Core i7
Up to 16GB RAM
Nvidia GT 650M
Too bad they never refreshed that one past Ivy Bridge
Haha why yes indeed my dear professional power user! I only order custom laptop from my own design and I contract Quanta Computer to make it for me.
Neck yourself asap.
Hey that actually looks really nice.
Is build quality comparable to business class notebooks like the elitebooks?
I can hear static in mine. Thought it was coil whine but noticed the noise comes from the speaker. I have to put my ear to the speaker to hear it though.
The HP Specter is a secksy lookin' laptop it's too bad it's marked towards womyn.
if overheating had a physical form, this would be it.
That glare is insane. Glossy screens are disgusting.
...
They still have alot of goodwill to make up in order for me to buy one after the flaming shitboxes the DV series were.
My dv12 is great though.
No idea what you're talking about
>brandfagging this hard
what happened to Sup Forums?? :(
every laptop since 2013 has been an utter failure.
Every HP laptop (3) I've had has broken within a year. The first video driver broke on the first two and the right hinge broke on all three. I don't drop my laptop.
looks like a good way to alert your boss that your budget needs reducing
>Break 3 laptops in a year
>Insists he doesn't drop them
Currently have an older 8460p. Got it refurbed for super cheap. (luckily I was fortunate enough to get a good battery. They're usually at the end of their life cycle in refurbs)Reinstalled windows, upgraded from 4 to 8 gigs of ram, and slapped a ssd in it. I must say that with all that and an i5 2520, it's a decent little notebook for every day shit posting. I plan on getting a second ssd for it and dual booting some flavor of Linux with it.
HP's Elite (?) series looks nice, but it's shit. Tons of complaints of high temperatures, loud fans, shitty touchpad, etc.
The *only* thing they did was focus on copying Apple's aesthetic. But none of the details.
Just get the business line and it won't be shit. If you get the consumer shit, it will be shit.
Source: HP ZBooks are pretty good.
Elitebooks are great if you want something sturdy and well made with low thermals though
No one cares about your feelings.
> talking sense
> on Sup Forums
And yet this laptop looks vastly better than the utter shit we have now.
Modern designs are thin pieces of shit with godawful keyboards and no fucking ports...most time you can't even upgrade basic shit like RAM or the hdd. And forget replacing the fucking battery.
Modern laptops are fucking cancerous garbage.
thats really gonna fall out of fashion
thats not..
>case made of plastic covered in aluminium veneer
>keyboards with incredibly non-standard spacing and layout
>shitty not-glass glossy displays
Gj hp, you've done a real good job showing me what it would look like if xiaomi tried to make a MBP copy that chongers can afford.
Lenovo is bad at everything.
Yes, I want to go back to an era when laptops overheat at doing the most basic tasks, I want to go back to 1.5 hours of battery life and best of all I want to go back to 720p TN displays.
I want to buy an elitebook 2570p just because it looks so nice.
>best of all I want to go back to 720p TN displays.
We're still living in that era, almost.
Pretty much every laptop this year STILL has a 768p TN option
V A I O

Kek, but the xiaomi macbook copy already exists. Look up the MiBook
Consumer HP's have terrible build quality.
OP said 2016. Vaio no longer exists.
Except they do.
They even have a model with tacky Disney branding.
I'd rather have my beige box back, please.
They were good at making ThinkPads from 2006 - 2012.
I'd rather go back further (skip the Pentium 4 here, and PIII didn't overheat doing the tasks of the time. It's just that trying to play 720p video on a nearly 20 year old computer is bound to end badly) and step back to the IBM Convertible.
It'll start up circles around any computer, it does everything I need it to do. I just wish it were a tad lighter, and maybe a backlight.
I don't give two shits about how nice you make it look - does it actually work?
>unironically enjoying a 6lb laptop from 2011
HP was even better at this 5-10 years ago
their premium category shit from that time is still my favorite
Owned two hp laptops. Never again. Terrible components and overheating. Don't pay attention to their specs, the quality isn't there.
Wow, that looks awful.
>sturdy hinges are purely cosmetic
yes
>Just install Linux.
ftfy
HP is fucking garbage except for the Elite books. Shill, please go.
>laptops
>2017
WRONG!
WRONG!
WRONG!
WRONG!
Macbooks and Thinkpads are the only aesthetic laptops. Everything else is mediocrity.
That looks like total consumer trashtop. I hope Sup Forums doesnt fall for these memes.
Still feels cheap and clunky tho.
It's no Macbook.
You've clearly never used a modern macbook.
Anyone have the stupid headphone issue with this lappy?
>Yes, I want to go back to an era when laptops overheat at doing the most basic tasks,
So modern macbooks?
Only middle eastern people would like this trash
At work recently we went
Nobody cares about iToddlerbooks
A lot of laptops over $500 come with at least 1080p displays. Back then a $2000 XPS still came with a 1280x800 display.
Whatever you say luddite!
