I got one of these for christmas just now and I can't for the life of me get the damn thing to take another operating system.
I seriously hate windows 10 and all of the pre-installed bullshit on this thing, so I'm trying to put 7 on it. Only catch is that there is no CD drive and the bootable USB I set up keeps giving me errors because of the sub 3.0 ports. This is after the bullshit you have to go through just to get it to boot from anything other than C: in the first place.
But the kicker is that once you finally jury rig your way into the fucking UEFI BIOS screen you can't even disable them or change anything settings wise in a meaningful way. I'm very quickly hating this piece of shit even though the hardware inside is decent.

I bought a used lenovo y70 off ebay a while ago with i7 2.6ghz and 860m.
The chasis is absolutely horrible quality, its like a cheap plastic alloy shell and the keyboard keys are so light and thin it feels horrible to type on.
With that said, it runs decently well and i can play games like fallout 4, dark souls 3 and sfv on the lowest settings.
So i'd think if you want a semi portable gaming laptop that you would use a CONTROLLER with, the y700 looks pretty good. If youre gonna be doing any gaming using the keyboard, i'd highly suggest looking for another laptop with a better keyboard.
