THIS is why I use a Macbook

THIS is why I use a Macbook

get a laptop with one that isn't a mac you dumbass

Those trackpads are seriously overrated I had a mac for 4 years and they are honestly the worst. I used to really like them when I first used it but after awhile I started to hate it.

...

...

>no buttons
pig disgusting

That trackpad is one of the reasons I even still use that damn overpriced thing (bought it solely for film school but then I left). Of course now I just do everything on a tablet so the thing is even closer to obsolescence.

and the OS, of course

>t. mactoddler

>my expensive computer broke so im gonna write exaggerated sticky notes on it to show my frustration
why would you save this

the surfacebook touchpad is just as impressive. Also the XPS one isn't half bad

i use a mac, yeah
not a toddler though :/

did that guy up there just mention the surfacebook lol

LOL

>t. mactoddler

My acer chromebook 14's trackpad's clickiness is 78.4% more orgasmic than THAT

:\

>touchpad without dedicated buttons
How many layers of irony are you on right now? Like, you understand it's shit but you also know everyone else knows it's shit, but it's not really unusable and nobody sane owns a macbook anyway so they can't really contradict you so you can say anything but...

>pc laptop users always drag along a mouse to make up for their shitty trackpads

you realize it clicks in and stuff, right?
like the whole thing is a button

>mactoddlers always drag along a snake nest of dongles to make up for their lack of ports

It gave me RSI. I'm never using it again.

Listen, a trackpad is there for when you're being lazy, it's convenient, regardless of whether it's good or bad, when you need to click on a big button or start an app or something stupid like that. If you try and do anything that remotely resembles work, like editing video or using a CAD program, or 3ds max/maya or basically anything more than hitting large buttons on facebook your going to quickly realize that this trackpad nonsense WILL NOT suffice. You need a good mouse with a wheel and a right button to get any kind of decent speed and not want to kill yourself while working, this is a fact. If i'm wrong then show me one picture of a 3d artist using a trackpad. 1 picture of a professional editor using a trackpad and i'll admit defeat cos the fact is those who need it know that a trackpad can't provide it. If you think otherwise you've never needed to do real work before.
The only exception to this is for programmers who can just about get along because they can use a keyboard for everything except mashing the large safari icon to search stack overflow, even then I would much prefer a mouse because selecting large areas of text with a trackpad is fucking retarded and it's just much quicker and more accurate to use a mouse.
tldr, if you think a trackpad is usable your not working on your computer, your a fucking pleb.

lol why post this? that laptop could be working fine.
>"Few drops of rain"
I've heard that one before. Don't take your thousand dollar computer out in the rain. Simple.

>Of course now I just do everything on a tablet

Neet spotted

All OP said was that the trackpad is the reason he uses a macbook, turn it down a notch autismo. Apple's trackpads are the best trackpads, but nobody is claiming that they're better than a mouse for workflow, you fucking moron.

gave my gf a macbook for christmas

she gave me a blowjob soon after

Macs are poorly built chinktrash for gullible morons. Deal with it.

I've met dozons of people who will argue that apple trackpads are better than regular mice. Even in this thread a guy was saying
>pc laptop users always drag along a mouse to make up for their shitty trackpads.
So don't try and tell me people aren't saying trackpads are superior to mice.

>t. mactoddler

Look at YouTube videos of the newest magic mouse. It's way more useful than a regular mouse because it supports touch gestures. It's a shame no one knows about it and there's no chink clones as far as I know.

I love how Chromebooks have the 2nd best trackpads available. I think its because google actually tests the trackpads on each Chromebook like apple does for their macbooks and makes sure they're good enough.

Everyone knows about, all the faggots at my work have it and they all end up turning off the right click feature because they keep accidently hitting it and none of them ever use it for scrolling. Also it's ugly and feel like shit in your hand, it's so uncomfortable and who the fuck want to do a mr spock to zoom in on things. Just another in a long line of shit apple mice. In fact I think the reason macfags always go on about the touchpad being good is because they've only had experience with apple mice which are all, without exception, absolute fucking garbage. Magic mouse is one of the worst I've used, the funny thing I find is how often they disconnect for no reason and suddenly connect themselves to someone elses mac across the room causing 10 minutes of fucking about getting them reconnected again. This usually involves getting a wired mouse out of the cupboard so they can open the setting up. Frankly it's a fucking shambles.

>people
Fuck off Tim Kike.

I could empty a bottle of water on my thinkpad and it would still keep working.

Macs are fashion statements for metrosexuals and fags, deal with it.

Macbook Pros were pretty solid machines for Developers til 2015 tho.
If you look at most google engineers using Macbook Pros(Pre 2016), you'd know that they aren't just toys.

Trackpads suck, but it's still the best trackpad there is.

>throttling overheating pieces of shit
>solid machines

>google engineers
Yeah that must be why they ALL SSH into linux so they can bypass the steaming pile of shit that is OSX.

This, poorfags buying Apple shit and then they are butthurt if they don't know how to take care of their shit and it brakes.

>Yeah that must be why they ALL SSH into linux so they can bypass the steaming pile of shit that is OSX.
Kek, Linux? Nope.

No they weren't. The keyboard has always been a piece of shit with no travel (one of the most important things when coding all day). The CPU's were decent tier to absolute garbage throttling tier. Arguably the only redeeminf feature was the battery life. But the there are laptops/ultrabooks that match in battery life or have a swappable one (with backup battery so you dont have to power off the machine).

I've heard that Air overheats a lot, but never heard of the Pro overheating and making loud fan noise.
And I agree that OSX is shit for anything other than normie stuff and graphics & music work.

>""""Trackpad""""
Wow, Apple clearly made that name by their ""own""
Like Think Different, or PowerBook

I use a Mac because they just work.

I'm not someone with experience in the IT industry, but I don't understand that they can be such bad devices when silicon valley giants like google and ibm are giving them to their employees.

Throttling is almost as bad as overheating. It doesn't physically damage the machine but you're not getting the raw power you're supposed to.

source?

/mac when? we need one now

It throttles.

source: had one

I've just googled macbook pros throttling, and I guess it's really an issue.
I see a lot of opinions on it.
And notebookcheckreview suggests it throttles to 1.8GHz or even 800MHz

>never heard of the Pro overheating and making loud fan noise.

>water damage indicators prevent repair
nice try retard, they're there to dishonor a warranty when you get your computer wet like a dipshit

Dammit, I never noticed the click pressure difference until you posted this. Fuck.

Everything apple pro on YouTube or some shit like that

Sure you did son. Sure you did.

I spilled 1/4 cup of hot tea into mine and no problems. There is a waterproof membrane under the keyboard.

This guy was too stupid to adjust the clicker on his trackpad which is a 5 min job.

Aspie.

...

Google gives their employees whatever they want, also Google did not really have anything like the Pixel Chromebook in the past. Im pretty sure that nowadays the Pixel is the preferred notebook for developing for Android devices.

IBM is literally salty because the chinks are doing a better job selling hardware. They would never allow HP or Dell since they are direct competitors on the server market. Apple does not compete with them in any field so it is only logical they would choose apple.

I dumped an entire glass of red wine on my lighted keyboard and only lost 2 keys. Repair was $125 incl labor only took 20 minutes.

>buying one of their laptops without forcetouch trackpack
kek

Why do you hate apple so much you're willing to spend hours posting about them on a Taiwanese weaving forum? You do this every day user

>which is a 5 min job.
Turning on tap-to-click is a 10 second job, 30 if you've never done it before.

I use one at work (both the rechargeable and non-rechargeable ones) and I haven't had this experience. I really like them actually. Different strokes I guess.

Are you serious? Nobody is doing serious Android development with Chrome OS and the pixel, which is Apple levels of overpriced. Are you fucking retarded?

Why do you love apple so much you're willing to spend hours defending them on a Taiwanese weaving forum? You do this every day user

>Pixel
>preferred notebook for Android development

Literally nobody uses the Chromebook pixel for serious dev work. Are you in high school perchance?

>Apple levels of overpriced.
>Implying it is somehow cheaper for Google to buy hardware from other parties.
>Literally the perfect environment to develop for android/chromeos

I think it's you who is the retarded one here.

I'm not here to defend apple senpai, just here to call out an aspie. Pls leave.

Nice samefagging. But yeah this is an Apple shill thread so I wouldn't expect any less.

Show me a single shred of evidence to support your claim. Have you even been to silicon valley? All those cucks use MacBooks.

I'm not here to attack apple senpai, just here to call out an applespie. Pls leave.

They're okay, but for some weird reason I prefer HP touchpads.

>having to give your GF stuff for her to give you a blowjob

You must not be a very attractive man.

That's what the Magic Trackpad is for.

>wanting all that water on your lap

Can someone tell me precisely how they are better? What to notice? What to test?

I never owned macbook but I played with one macbook air and one macbook pro few hours.

I used dell latitude and thinkpads extensively and their touchpads
they seem to be fine to me

oh, also want to add that on one of them macbooks I used, touchpad did not work as a button
it was very frustrating to work with when you are used to touchpad not only to track your finger but to also detect that press

I guess it was old one

>Can someone tell me precisely how they are better?

No, since they're literally paid shills.

>t. mactoddler

>Decide to buy extra protection for your machine
>Extra protection's coverage depends on 10 cheap-as-possible sensors in your machine functioning correctly to be redeemed

Yeah, okay, deny my screen replacement because I sneezed on my machine.

Always reminds me of my ex, she had some toshiba and always went on about how her friends mac you could scroll with two fingers, I said lots of notebooks have this, you probably just need to update drivers or enable it, sure enough I just had to check a box and turned it on for her. She couldn't care less, what was this huge deal she didn't even bat a fucking eye about later... People just want the name, they want to match their friends at school, its just to post on facebook so who really cares?

Wouldn't matter anyway, they still charge you a shitload, why I stopped doing them on phones etc, still charge like $150-$300 deductible or some weird fee, check the fine print.

There was a period in 2008 when Apple's proxy patent trolls sued Synaptic and a bunch of other touchpad vendors for some software feature that transforms pointer input into what the user probably intended instead of what the user actually touched (some psychovisual tricks).

This forced Windows laptop vendors to ship their laptops with gimped touchpad drivers that frustrated the users.

At the same time, Apple trumped up the PR on "Mac touchpad just werks" hype which has been repeated ad nauseum by mactards who haven't even tried a non-Mac in 10 years.

>crapple

>waah i was careless with my macbook and it broke!!! holy shit macs are shit!!!
>macs are buzzword buzzword buzzword for buzzword buzzword deal with it!!

>t. mactoddler

most girls will give you a BJ if you give them $1000 though...

Why bother? Non-macs are just malware-infested invitations to identity theft. I'd rather spend an extra $400 than deal with the theft of thousands later on.

Muh "I hate macs because I'm broke enough that $500 bankrupts me, and I'd rather spend literally hours every month making sure everything is secure."

Enjoy your hobbies. I have shit to get done.

>you were paid to have a different opinion than i do!!!

t. shill

>m-muh-m-mu-mack toddler!!!! stupid apple fags shitting up the board with actual computers instead of muh anime desktop threads!!!

...

you don't get malware if you don't browse trap porn and lolicon friend

I'll post here because I haven't seen any other people complain about this in particular: Mac trackpads went to shit when they introduced the force touch thing. The haptic feedback is fine on the iPhones IMO but not on the trackpad. The other thing is you could use three fingers to drag windows, select text/items super and work sliders and knobs in programs super quickly. They've removed that gesture since and it sucks now.

How will mactoddlers ever recover?

>I have shit to get done.
good because thats all you can get done on a mac

Evento without dedicated buttons it's still the best trackpad on the market

>t. winblows shill

what exactly do I have to deal with? my 4 year old macbook air is doing just fine. protip: I did not take it out in the rain.

No, THIS was god tier

having a dedicated thumb click got more accomplished, faster than the stupid clickable touchpad.
