Anyone here actually use it, specifically the limited free variant?
Is it a good option for non-work normie stuff like managing Steam / vidya accounts, talking to normie friends on yahoo / jewmail...etc?
Not too interested in the crypto tech they offer, i'm sure its great and all but i'm mostly after a bullshit-free email service that doesn't ask for DNA samples at signup and doesn't include an entire social media suite.
Just read for a bit. >hosting your mail to literally communists that make you agree on their ideas to use their services.
Michael Watson
OP here.
>not bad. nothing to cum over tho
That's literally what i'm looking for.
>If they close It you lose your XYZ
This is the only downside i'm seeing atm.
Is there any chance the protonfags might shut down their service, considering there's people paying for it and everything, they'd at least have to give notice in advance right?
Jaxson Lewis
I use it.
It's quite good.
I also recommend others use it. Crypto should be used as a matter of course with email and other correspondence.
Joe Fed should work for his paycheck instead of watching unenecypted information stream by.
(no, I know there isn't someone physically watching it on a screen - it's all through machines looking for keywords. instant dossier stuff.)

How do unencrypted mails from a proton sender look to a non-proton receiver?
Like do they open normally in whatever web service the receiver is using or do they link to protonmail like encrypted mails do?

wtf????
Also 140% it an impossible percentage of users. You could say that Sup Forums has 140% more autistic persons than last year but not that Sup Forums is 140% autistic persons
Austin Jones
would like to pay so i feel better about it, but my usage is kinda in between being a bit more than the free but less the lowest price point they have available.
moved most of my main gmail stuff to protonmail. now working on my yahoo shit.

>unencrypted It looks unencrypted.

>If they close It you lose your steam account and all data. no you fucking don't I used lavabit as my only provider when they shut down I just fucking contacted support explained I had all my personal details (including my phone for recovery) explained the email service shut down and they sorted it out
David Green

>they'd at least have to give notice in advance right? Most services like this would, unless they get raided like Mega which I doubt they'd need too.
Eli Roberts
Nothing wrong with it personally, it's way better than some alternatives that ask/force you to have a phone number but still get hacked anyways. The only question is, "Will it last?".
