I don't think the roku 3 can handle 4k.
I think you need the roku ultra
Bought my Dad the roku for christmas and we tried it out today. I have limited experience with amazon and chrome's but I can't really tell that there's much difference in user experience.
Roku's app is also great, otherwise you have to type searches using the remote control.
Roku also has a slicker and easier to navigate interface
>le 4k memeia
get a raspberry pi 3
Hands down nvidia shield
>Raspberry Pi
>4K
The only substantial difference between any same-resolution boxes is UI. Fwiw the Roku UI is quite ugly and cumbersome.
The second-best Roku - whatever it's called. The one that's like 100 bucks or something. It's got 4K and HDR support.
Fire TV can be rooted and have Kodi installed.
Chromecast Ultra.

I'm so buttblasted that PS4 doesn't do 4kbluray.
I just got a roku for christmas. The thing is the ultimate jew. It was credit card numbers and paypal right away.

Not even the PS4.5?
That Raspberry Pi cancer everywhere...
Fire TV, here's why:
>h264/h265 hardware decoding up to 4K (no shit)
>Kodi
>RetroArch
>It's an Android: Most APKs will work, ofc no touch input possible :/
>USB for external storage
>SDCard for additional space for apps
>ADB works over USB and Network (push, shell ...)
>AArch64, low power usage unlike Consoles
>WLAN / Gbit-Ethernet included
(popular Apple user argument)
>it just works out of the box
>raspberry pi cancer
How new can one be?
I got one that works perfectly as a Media Center, whats wrong with the Raspberry pi?
he's probably a netflix/amazon tv cuck
MacTV
It just works.
Just run an HDMI cable from your PC to your TV
>Recommend Raspberry Pi without properly reading original post.
That pretty much sums up the whole RPi-Community.
He mentioned his 4K TV, so he probably wants play 4K videos (yea no shit).
Pi is not built for that, HW-decoding only up to 1080p.
