>KeePass 2.35 mainly features a new database file format, user interface enhancements, and various other minor new features and improvements.

>Using password managers
What a fucking retard

>not using a password manager

moron

>trusting unaudited homebrew crypto

Thanks for the info OP. Will upgrade.

kill yourself

nice, hopefully these features make their way down to keepassxc.

> Begging me to store my passwords outside of my head.

OP GTFO

if you type them somewhere, they are not always in your head

>Not using a password manager
kekt

>Actually knowing your passwords
>Not having unique 32+ char random passwords for every login
Are you new?

Snowden use Keepass

Snowden is a fraud

Snowden is a traitor

>Not using cStash
Kys mah mang

Snowden is a snow nigger

Snowden is CIA

What's the difference between Keepass 2 and KeepassX?

You is NSA shills

>entrusting your most precious data to a bunch of freetards
>not just paying for a real password manager

as of october of this year i will have been using keepass for a literal decade

and my thoughts are: it's good and useful

Keepass used to be windows only, KeepassX was a reimplementation using Qt for cross-platform gui. Keepass has since made linux versions since mono/.net has been ported to linux.
KeepassX is a little dead, if you're looking to use it give this fork github.com/keepassxreboot/keepassxc a shot. The fork is mainly intending to merge PRs that KeepassX has been ignoring and and really just be more active a project.

2.x uses mono a version of .net framework for linux. the X version is build specifically for linux i believe

I just created a LastPass account.

Convenience spoked higher again.
How much I fucked up, Sup Forums?

>account
You fucked up pretty bad

FUCKING 4CHANX, where is the option to forget last name at browser restart?

this
its so damn useful.
one of my top #3 programs that stays open 24/7

My setup for Keepass(XC) with a firefox addon (PassIFox) to fill in password forms for me and create new entries/modify existing entries when a make an account on a website or edit a password.
To sync between different computers I use syncthing which does a good job keeping desktop/laptop/phone all synced up as long as at least one of them is on (desktop always is and eventually I can stop being lazy and setup a tiny server for it on one of the raspis I have that will draw less power)
The only issue I have is that the android keepass client doesn't do the autotyping and I have to paste passwords but then again it's my phone so I shouldn't need it very often
Honestly curious, I don't really like to use cloud services so I haven't checked out LastPass, how much more convient is LastPass over this sort of setup?

s/setup for/setup is/

Lastpass is great. I don't see why anyone would hate it, other than boogieman conspiracies.

>other people (who have had security breaches) in charge of your security
>having one big juicy target instead of many smaller targets
>leaving your security in the hands of closed source software
>creating an additional attack vector for phishing attacks
>muh cloud
but sure yeah, it's pretty convienent

I trust my money more in a bank than a cardboard box under my bed.

I remember seeing dedicated blogs posted here a year ago on cracking Lastpass accounts since apparently it was pretty easy, don't know why everyone suddenly forgot about that now.

No need for a cardboard box when you can run your own decentralized vault.

Yes, that's a bank. Ie Lastpass.

Lastpass is anything but decentralized. It's a bank sure, but it's a bank with a pretty bad track record for robberies.

banks have their deposits insured, are heavily regulated, and usually have a human being you can talk to for advice and help

Should people use a proprietary password manager like LastPass (if they decide to use one)? How's that any better? Not to mention that they actually got hacked.
blog.lastpass.com/2015/06/lastpass-security-notice.html/

Also related to:

if something goes wrong with your money at the bank, that isn't your fault, the bank will do what it takes to put things right.

if something goes wrong at lastpass, tough shit

the point i'm making here is: lastpass is not a bank. they don't act like a bank, and don't have the same responsiblities a bank does. they're not a bank. they're just some company.

>I trust my money more in a bank than a cardboard box under my bed.

stop living around niggers

Lastpass is like asking the NSA to hold your passwords for you.

You don't need a complete random password to make it strong as long as it's long.

Also related to:

but you do keep your house and car keys on you...

not using "pass".

>still nor marked to update on Debian

I will wait patiently.

Nah he is not a winfag!

Keepass has a linux version now, but sure. Snowden probably used KeepassX

So many new features, too bad my plugins won't work with the new format so I'll wait a bit

Browser integration sounds tempting. The autotype library KeePassX uses on Linux never worked perfectly on my end.

If you're already on KeepassX, it's a painless switch. Give it a shot (maybe make a copy of your password database to be extra safe)

uhhh...

Use it on my Desktop.

Use MiniKeePass on my iPhone.

No online password manager BS.

Now? Very little. KeePassX uses Qt, though.

Both are cross-platform

Yeah but who cares?
It makes the password for you

Imagine the interns that the NSA pays to newfag here. Really makes you think.

> he uses 4chanx
> not sticking with the vanilla built in plug in
Lol

Does this thing STILL not have a macOS version?

>password manager
Lmao. You literally handing out your info like a good cuck

Pass is still the best because you can even audit it yourself since it's just a bash script.

>Keep ass

I will never not laugh at this name like the teenager I wish I could be again

my password is elephant9orange2bike4mangos7$$

How long do you think it would take the NSA to crack my accounts with it?

>accounts
>crack

they don't have to crack shit. if you actually use it for several accounts, they just have to look for the one retarded service that stores it in plain text.

>New database format
How many years until KeePassX gets this?

How can I get paid to shill for 3 letter agencies

4

>putting all your passwords in the same place

You guys didn't actually buy into this meme did you?

What are your thoughts on password safe? My work uses it for a password manager on all our PC's.

use a fucking pen and a piece of paper

>new features
>new database format
>doesn't list anything other than vague claims and new news

Does keypass finally complied to PRISM?

what version of keepass should i use guys?

i currently use keepassx (keepassx.org)

lastpass is good, but i'm looking for an offline app.

any recommendations? windows and linux support are the only ones i care about :o

>not using keepassx2

>not just using sentence passwords

good luck guessing those

everyone uses windows

it's ok, you don't need to tie your identity to what operating system you use for what reasons

So whats the best version to use? Currently using LastPass.

I need Windows/Linux/Android

or backdoor the login page and steal it right from under your nose while it's entered in

>New database format
Will it update my current database or what

Where can I look at the source of this thing?

I bet you can export your DB to a new format.

AES crypto is the same since 20 years ago what the fuck am I improving here?

yes, idiot

read the link in the OP you stupid nigger.

You're a big password

>http site

Very crypto
Much security
Wow

Just apply for the job, faggot.
