How do I make Windows the first one in the list and make it boot by default?

You don't

Windows is the 5th item in the list, so it has index #4.

* Open /etc/default/grub
* Change GRUB_DEFAULT=0 to GRUB_DEFAULT=4
* run update-grub
* ????
* PROFIT!!

Edit hmm /boot/grub/grub.cfg or something like that

Did you really have to make a thread for this?
Fucking kill yourself you retarded sack of shit with down syndrome.

I used something like grub customiser. Google it

Keep classy Sup Forums

shut up sperg

/boot/grub/grub.cfg is generated by grub-mkconfig. If you edit grub.cfg you will lose your changes everytime apt triggers grub to update.

Edit /etc/default/grub

That worked perfectly

Why the fuck did you install Ubuntu?

You can even change the background in grub. just save an image as 256 color .PNG (with kolourpaint for example) and put it into /boot/grub and run sudo update-grub

Satan chose you

Install your operating systems on seperate drives, instead of partitions. This will usually result in windows having a top priority.

>windows 10 and ubuntu
so the worst two oses? go for windows 7 and fedora

This is actually literally the correct response.

Grub Customiser lets you do that too

Why doesn't Ubuntu/Loonics have these programs by default?

You need to download a repository, then update it, then actually download the program..

Then people wonder why Loonics is seen as nothing more than a meme.

Thx bruh.

I thought so but these faggots prefer editing generated files after the fact or installing meme software which they run as root (!) to edit a fucking config file for them.

Install MacOS you fukken homo.

Why doesn't windows

This is a good thread Sup Forums.

All GNU tools you need to edit a configuration file are already available after you just installed the base system.

If you are a toddler that needs a GUI to change a fucking number you picked the wrong OS to be an """31337 h4x0r''''''.

it's more than just changing the number you mong, you can also change the boot times, add more boot options, even add a wallpaper... not easy through the command line

linux is a joke, deal with it

>not easy through the command line

That's not even true.

...

It's ... beautiful!

Can I save it?

No. It was made with proprietary software.

Have an open source gentooman.
