PowerAmp. It has a weeklong (I think) trial before needing to be bought for ~$5. I think it's absolutely worth it, especially after being able to try it for free.

the best one is poweramp, but I use vanilla music because it is tiny, open source, and I think made by a fellow Sup Forumsentooman.
I use Pulsar but I hear pretty fantastic things about Poweramp
Google hasn't put opus support in the media scanner so I use foobar

VLC really sucks for music, though. It doesn't even have gapless playback.
Spotify is trash as a music player, it lags a lot and can't even random all the musics from a playlist if it's too long
