>TFW Vega will be able to run everything at 4k 60fps
>TFW Vega will be easily capable of maxing out a 140hz 1440p monitor
Nvidia is going to get BTFO.

Nvidia is going to get BTFO.
tfw 1080 can already do that?
>a super AMD optimized game in a dead on arrival API equals everything
That's why AMDrones are the laughing stock of the Internet.
OpenGL is DOA?
DX12 is DoA?
Vega is 1080+10-20% in best case scenario
That puts it below the Titan XP
So lets say Vega launches below or at 1080 price level
Nvidia A: cuts prices on the 1080, it's a small die with cheap gddrx instead of HBM2, much cheaper to manufacture than the vega chip. AMD cannot follow, since the vega chip is an expensive chip.
Result: AMD is fucked
Nvidia B: Launches the 1080ti that smashes the Vega chip in the ground for the same price level.
Or C a combination of both.
Either way AMD is fucked, the only way they could have won is if they had beaten the titanxp by a significant margin
Boom
>4k monitors are still ridiculous
>140hz is a worthless meme
BadaBoom
Vega already looks like it's well above stock 1080s, so the question is exactly how far above at release.
The chip frankly looks more like a slight cut of the GP100, so AMD might well be planning on selling most of these to enterprise with the salvaged parts going to gaming/consumers.
>ega already looks like it's well above stock 1080s
No it doesnt?
He's talking about Vulkan you dip
The 1080 in OGL doom beats the Vega in Vulkan doom
But I mean the 1080s performance has already been confirmed as the goal for vega, they said vega is for 4K like the 470 is for 1440p. That puts Vegas goals at the "almost 4K in real games" tier, which is exactly what the 1080 is
Your average AMD retards everyone. One names an API that isn't even used in DOOM, the other is too retarded to actually research ANYTHING and fails to understand that only leaked 4K Vega DOOM bench was showcased in Vulkan.
But 470 can't even max 1080p games? WTF are you talking about?
And that's why AMD hype is always funny
>well above
reddit
That's the point
>tfw 290 at 1440p
Runs most shit fine but it is starting to show its age a little bit.
Not sure if should wait for the 1100 series and amd's offering or just wait for the 1080ti and vega.
The 490 will come out before vega, and considering the 480's Polaris chip is already as maxed out as possible (according to AMD) and that the 490 will not be vega (according to AMD), it might be worth seeing what that will be
I can imagine a crossfire Polaris card with two chips on one card, like they've done with past gpus
There are 2 Vega chips. The bigger one (10) was designed first, but won't necessarily ship first. The smaller one (11) is the Polaris 10 replacement/upgrade.
If Polaris 10 continues, it might just be in the form of respin and re-bins for the low end, since a dual card would be stupid this close to the Vega release.
Just like the Fury X was stupid
Just like Broadwell was stupid
Just like nvidia ti was stupid
None of those were successful right
none of those have to deal with CFX drama.
Vulkan is OpenGL
That looks like Jonah hill in a powdered wig
I wonder who he was
