Why the fuck are iphones are so expensive compared to android phones? iPhones have worse specs than android high end phones and are more fragile than these android phones.

What's the point of doing that shit?

They use marketing to convince people that iPhones are better than they really are, which lets them sell their cheap phones at a premium.

You aren't just paying for a phone
You're paying for a status symbol

>worse specs than android high end phones
That's wrong. Even A9 shits on everything there is. A10 is slightly faster again. Also NVMe storage absolutely rapes Lagdroid alternatives even with encryption on. Their cameras are easy top 3 too. Best LCD screens as well.

>are more fragile than these android phones
In normal use it's pretty similar.

Also much better OS and overall experience.

Samsung spends MUCH more on marketing than everybody else together. So either Samsung employs exclusively retards who can't do their job ... or maybe it's not only down to PR.

Samsung spends more on marketing because they're a multinational conglomerate who produces everything from TVs to dishwashers.

>NVMe storage

Thanks, I love paying $30 a gb for storage that has no real world advantage for storing pictures or videos.

>better screens

Yeah, wonderful screens. Everyone just loves their 720p screens....

>top 3 camera

Their are only 6-10 competitive flagships anyway, top 3 isn't very flattering.

>samsung electronics
>dishwashers
No.

> that has no real world advantage for storing pictures or videos
Clearly never used it. Also it's not even the point, the point being that they use high end technology that is much better than from their competition. If anything iPhones are comparable cheap.

SE alone is basically high end phone for budget price. Their other phones are pretty expensive sure, but so are other flagships ignoring chinkphones, that are basically irrelevant for western market.

>Everyone just loves their 720p screens....
>muh resolution
What is color accuracy and brightness? Also no OLED burn ins.

>Their are only 6-10 competitive flagships anyway, top 3 isn't very flattering.
Sure but once again, the point is the hardware is high end, just like the price. Besides when it comes to the best ones, it's pretty fine margins.

> $30 a gb for storage
There's a SM961.

>clearly never used it

I have. There is no real world difference in performance speed. There is also no reasonable technical performance speed increase when dealing with files like photos or videos, which is what takes up 90% of the storage for people.

It's a scam to get people to pay for "upgraded" versions of the iPhone. Rather than putting in a 20ยข microSD slot, they charge you outrageous prices for storage that has no practical benefit.

>SE

The only reason it's cheap is because they're recycling parts from older models.

>OLED is worse than iPhone screens

Yeah, that's why the new iPhones will have OLED starting with the iPhone 7. I guess 5 years late is better than never.

Hopefully they'll improve the resolution, which is still stuck at 720p, a resolution their competitors haven't used in nearly a decade.

The performance gap between hard drives and SSD is obvious, the performance gap between SSD and NVMe is negligible for the average user. There's no argument for forcing consumers to use NVMe to store photos in their phone.

>There is no real world difference in performance speed.
But user, there is. Pay attention to the loading times. (which are partly due CPU and OS to be fair) It's not as noticeable as HDD - SSD but it's also there and once you go back to slower memory, you'll feel it.

Also it helps with encryption, and if I remember it right, uses lesser power.

>It's a scam to get people to pay for "upgraded" versions of the iPhone.
They don't even advertise it, unless you're interested in the tech, you'll never know it uses high end PC tier memory. It sounds like a pretty shitty idea to design a fucking expensive controller and put expensive ass memory and not even give it some meme name so everybody will know how much better it is.

>The only reason it's cheap is because they're recycling parts from older models.
Sure but it's still flagship tier hardware for ridiculously low price.

>Yeah, that's why the new iPhones will have OLED starting with the iPhone 7. I guess 5 years late is better than never.
Almost like they waited for the technology to mature!

>Hopefully they'll improve the resolution
Dear Lord, hopefully not. There is no fucking benefit on such a small screen unless you plan to use it for VR.

There's no practical benefit to NVMe over microSD for storage. It's just a money making scheme. "Goyim, if you runout of storage, just buy more (((cloud))) storage, or upgrade your whole phone. A model with 64gb more storage is only 300 dollars more, but only if you buy this week!"

>SE is flagship-tier

Yeah, it was back in 2014 when the hardware was new. They're using shit from the iPhone 5 or repurposing ipod hardware.

>there's no benefit to increased resolution

That's an amusing argument from the company that has the best resolution in its tablets and laptops. I guess when it comes to the iPhone, they don't want to cut into their cash cow to give people a better screen.

they're paying for this

>Everyone just loves their 720p screens....
As long as it's fine enough to not be aliased who gives an actual fuck about the resolution of a phone screen? I use a 4k monitor and I have zero complaints about my SE's screen

As you see from the increase in screen sizes, you're in the minority. Most people want larger screens.

>a resolution their competitors haven't used in nearly a decade.
bullshit

also 720p is more comfortable for a 4 inch phone. anything larger i'd go for 1080p, but 720 is glorious. keeps battery life high, and there's no difference when compared to any higher res phone. even a stupidly large galaxy s3 pixels are unnoticeable with a s5 to compare it to.

not until you bring it right into your face, but you'd only need to do that on stupidly high resolutions bcus of stupid lack of scaling...

>compares a 4 inch screen to that of a laptop/desktops
higher res=bigger number DOES NOT=better. you fucking idiot. high res phones are a gimmick and a massive waste of battery power.

as the other user said, it's only use is for vr.

>There's no practical benefit to NVMe over microSD for storage
That entirely depends on the user. Paying a lot for a tiny bit better experience is what the premium market is all about. If you're fine with "just good enough" a 50 bucks Nokia will do.

> It's just a money making scheme.
In that case they could simply use slow ass memory other Android manufacturers use and make much more money. It's not like the user can tell a difference, right?

>Yeah, it was back in 2014 when the hardware was new.
It still is and faster than every Android phone on the market. You could bitch about the old design but given how most phones look the same either way, it'd be a weird minus point.

>the company that has the best resolution in its tablets and laptops
Actually they don't. There are tons of laptops with 4K resolution but the benefit is minimal compared to the downsides. The benefit with phones is pretty much non existent outside of rare cases aka. VR.

>higher resolution is a gimmick

Yes, everything is a gimmick until Apple approves it, then you cucks flock to it like sheep. Large displays were a gimmick, Bluetooth headphones were a gimmick, NFC was a gimmick, OLED was a gimmick.

Why the fuck do you even have to bring Apple in? People mentioned S3 compared to phones after that. There is also all the Xperia Compact stuff. 720p is a perfectly fine resolution for a phone. If anything, Apple fell for the meme themselves and bumped up the iPhone Plus resolution to irrationality but at least the battery life is still good, while most Android fags complain about MUH 1 DAY and still want desktop resolution on a phone.

I bring apply in because they're the only flagship out there that pushes 720p screens out.

Which is perfectly good decision increasing the battery life and otherwise not noticeable for the user unless you look at your phone with a spyglass, if anything you should complain about 1440p and 4K idiocy, that only benefits 1-2 faggots who are into VR but lowers the battery life and performance for everyone else.

At least the micro SD argument has some bearing because some people absolutely have to transport their entire music collection on a phone, also the shit is dirt cheap so there is at least SOME benefit. There is pretty much none with stupid high resolution on small screens.

>what is Zenfone

Better optimization and long time support

AND THEY'RE WRONG REEE

>iToddlers can't even shitpost while watching Trump videos

Trump isn't of interest for the better educated, as the majority of Applel users are.

>muh educated Democrats

>muh old whites without degrees

>muh baristas with PhD in "Micro-aggression Patterns" and "Himalayan Basket-weaving."

Paying to not to have Java, 2017 still using Symbian 2.0

Ah, of course, resolution is the only thing that makes a display. Just like cameras, am I right?

don't you talk shit about himalayan basket weaving on a sudanese whaling forum nigger

>implying anything else matters if you have ant pixels
