Why is the Phanteks Evolv ATX the best case ever and why does your case suck so hard?

Why is the Phanteks Evolv ATX the best case ever and why does your case suck so hard?

(Additional: Add pictures of your masterrace Evolv rig)

looks like shit

But I have the best case for my use case.

The case I want isn't out yet :'(

which one?

Wow, that's ugly...
I guess you use it for Bitcoin mining?

Dan-Cases A4-SFX

The enthoo pro is still treating me nicely thank you very much. Phantek is top tier.

>no front drive bays
So are we just becoming Apple with dongles for everything? I occasionally use my DVD drive, and I use the card reader all the time.

>window
No thanks, faget.

Nah m8.
These are the best 4 cases.

>not having the last of the truly beautiful aluminum cases
TJ07 for life

>aluminum
>inum

had to murricanize it for ya :^)

I have an enthoo pro m acrylic and boy is it good

No optical drive...looks like worthless shit to me.

Post best mATX cases and why would that case be better than Define Mini C ?

> No aluminum...

>window
>no sound dampening
>LED lighting
>$180
>best case ever
Those things don't add up.

>B-But muh fully modular
Just drill out the rivets holding in drive bays that you don't use

I'd use it of only the front fan would be in the fucking center

>aluminum

look at this fucking heap of plastic shit..how can anyone think that looks good?

this was 2008 or something like that. it's all metal btw, it's my favourite still though i dont use it anymore.
it was only 70€, can you believe it? today it would be 300+€

I just ordered this Phanteks case and I'm pretty excited.

>Best case
>no mention of the FT05

>€
Kek, how's that economy treatin' ya?

the € is pretty strong right now, how about you dollarcucks?

>dollarcucks
haha oh boy..i live in switzerland :^)

What a coincidence.
Btw, the prettiest case

Any of you niggers know of a case thats:

>ITX
>can fit ssd + hdd (one of each)
>can fit 1080
>can fit atx psu
>does not look like rgb shitfest

yeah, almost every ITX case.
why is atx psu a requirement?

Why do you guys need an aluminum case? Do you run around with it in hands all day?

sturdy

Fractal r2 array can.

Looks really fucking ugly to be honest.
(But I guess you don't have any girls coming over anyway)

becasue i have a plat seasonic psu and I dont want to buy a new one.

Seksi case mane

Fractal Design Define Nano S, that's just one option and not the smallest itx case around.

Best

Wow man your case is shit, Define C masterrace.

Does it come with dustfilters?

Obligatory best case post

130€ for a black box... I would rather shoot myself. At least the Evolv is made out of shiny aluminum and has decent design AND a side window.

don't you bully me!

Nice try

>AND a side window

Very bad case like all ATX. Everyone know mATX is the masterrace

It's filled with it.
Why the fuck do you want shiny shit? Matte aluminum looks better IMO. It's also sound dampened and filled with dustfilters. A side window is optional but who gives a fuck about side windows.

>shiny aluminum
>decent design
>AND a side window
heh

I got the Evolv atx shortly after it came out, hoping they would come out with a solid side panel option for atx. After all these iterations on several form factors, there's still no solid panel option except on the itx. Probably gonna end up selling it and getting something from Fractal Design

I agree with this, still havent seen a better one.

if it wasn't $150 i'd be all over that shit

my sg13 works gr8

Dark Base 900 anyone?

As someone who owned one, I'll say it's not the best case ever. But it is any awesome case for sure. I had the tempered glass version. Here's what I like:

>Good radiator support
>Excellent quality
>Pretty configurable for various combinations
>Looks great
>Actually comes in a proper color set, with proper panels

What I didn't like:
>Poor E-ATX support due to motherboard tray offset
>Certain radiator configurations don't really work well/as advertised
>SSD cut out on motherboard side leaves most SSD's upside down, it also blocks any LED strips run underneath the SSD

What I'd do to fix my personal issues:
Release an E-ATX version of the Evolv TG. If they released a version of the case that was just two inches deeper, an inch or two taller, and an inch wider, with basically the similar layout they have now, it would allow for proper 280mm rad support and clearance with memory on top. Also proper support for dual 360mm radiators. I'd also like to see some work done in the basement of the case. Perhaps rotate the drive 90 degrees so drives sit on their side, and move it closer to the power supply, allowing for the use of front radiators with more than one 3.5" HDD. They could also maybe add a mount location on the PSU shroud for one. The size increase would also allow proper support/fitment of 264mm wide E-ATX boards, and fitment of 272mm wide E-ATX boards.

Picture very much related, the build before I got rid of the case.

So for now, I'm debating between four cases as my build currently sits on a test bench.

>Lian Li PC-V3000 (the one showed at CES 2017)
>Phanteks Enthoo Elite
>In Win 909
>Lian Li PC-O11

Leaning most towards the V3000.

Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ITX , user.
> its ITX
>can fit 2x 3.5" & 1x 2.5"
> GPU up to 330mm
>got a massive 200mm front fan
>fit ATX psu

pic related, its awesome

Cool case for what it's capable of, but looks like shit. Shouldve just been one solid color.

I really like my s340 elite. Meme glass is so worth the money.

(b-but I just wanted to help you, user)

got a pic of the other side with your cable management, user? would love to see it

I meant matte aluminum, but it is still shinier than black...

I don't think I do.

theres a version with the bay in the back at the top. quit being a fag

Have you tried, by any chance, the Corsair 780t?

Looks foo king massif.

Mine is:
Silverstone FT03B-Mini

Pros:
Minimal desk footprint (I have too much junk, desk space is a premium, this was my main reason)
Single fan draws air from the bottom and it's expelled through the top, in a sort of Mac Pro Rubbish Bin like design
All wiring in one small place at the top
You can actually squeeze 1 HDD and 3 SSDs in there

Cons:
Expensive
The clips that hold all the panels on are kind of half arsed so it's not very firmly held together
You need to use a slot loader optical drive, which are more limited and more expensive in general, and similarly it's a SFF PSU
It's best as a "build it and forget it" machine, as working on it is a real pain in the arse
Much of the heat after it rises goes through the PSU, which is probably not very good for it
All the wiring being out of the top makes it quite an ugly mess to look at

Overall: But muh desk space

Additional pro I forgot: Supports full size GPU

I owned a 600T. I didn't like the plastic feel. I want something more premium.

Get on my level.

>tfw apple replaced this with a god damn trash can

It looks nice and all, but iirc the innards are terrible, impossible to use for a normal computer or am I wrong ?
Design is important, but there are more important things in a case

10 litres

I wish the normal industry basterds would reproduce this.

which model is it?

I grabbed a photo of the Power Mac G5, but the Intel based Mac Pro has essentially the same case from the outside.

The G5 case was fine inside for a G5. But you have to modify some bits to turn it into an x86 machine.

The pre trash can Mac Pros are already x86 machines. I don't know how difficult it would be to do a full motherboard swap on them. Never tried.

the ATX mod is a pain in the ass

>his motherboard is not rotated 90 degrees for better heat management and easier port access
Why do they even make other cases?

Can you beat this?

> It's perfect in every way

Could be made out of Aluminum though...

...

Oh wow look at all these faggots with window cases.

>Ugly mesh front

Anyone here reccomend me an itx that isn't totally restricted to a blower style gpu. Gonna go from atx to itx, but not going to replace my open air gpu.

Pic semi related

Your euro is shit compared to the dollar, Sonny boy. It's pretty much at parity right now.

I had an sg-08lite that was pretty cool.

My case doesn't suck so hard because I use that exact one, OP.

Any of the last-gen Sun Ultra series (check Wikipedia for model numbers). Though, if you're thinking of doing a motherboard swap, get the Opteron version. I'm thinking the UltraSPARC version is unlikely to be ATX.

>his case isnt shaped like a seashell
what are you, a mouthbreathing pleb?

I just can't find anything to consider changing my TJ08e

I guess since you never leave your basement, and take your computer with. either that or you show up to LAN parties with gigantic compensator boxes.

bro. the tj08 is the best case ever conceived

hows about the fact that it looks like its upside down?

ive been trying to replace it for years, just nothing that can beat its watercooling options for the size, the thing is probably the same size of an enthoo itx but with matx and multi gpu config.

dunno, it looks cool for me

have you ever built in the evolv itx? its got some nice liquid support, and from the looks of this case, it may even have more (it has room for a top mounted radiator)

yeah but it is still itx, i dont really see the point of going itx with the case if its going to be the size of an matx case for MUH EXPANSION

Your case is literally babby mode

lol. 2017. optical drive.

what a faggot.

why not caselabs then?

Masterrace coming through

>two rads
>uses the heat from his cpu to cool his gpu anyway
why the fuck...

>Fractal Design
muh nigga. only good post on this thread.

Ugh, with a window? Ain't got no class, man.
