Someone help me ram pls

OP is tech noob and is trying to buy a laptop. Laptop I found has easy access to upgrade ram. Basically i wanna upgrade the 2 8gb things it comes with to 2 16gb ones so i can have 32gb ram total instead of 16gb.

Seems simple enough but problem is idk which 16gb thingies i should buy bc idk what is compatible with this laptop.

can som1 help pls.

Pic related, it's the 2 8gb thingies that come inside the laptop

FInd your model number and this will tell you.

Model is LT-HP-0405
It's a 17.3" omen.
The site you gave me is great but it only has a fuckton of 15" models. Idk if they both take the same kind

I can guarantee that if you can't even work out something this simple you do not have any need for 32GB of ram.

I wanna learn man

32GB is far too much, spending money on big numbers for no reason is not learning anything.

than get some ssds and do a raid array.

Its my money to spend tho.
Care to offer any answer to my question?

What's that mean? I'd like to learn.

No I won't help you do stupid things, in not an enabler.

I know ssd is solid state drive, what is raid array? (tried googling but that explanation wasn't geared towards the layman)

Okay

Sup Forums isn't your personal help desk, go to the sqt thread.

Search for 16gb x 2 kit 2400mhz/2133mhz ddr4 sodimm memories. Shouldn't be that hard

>he fell for the 32Gb of ram

Thanks for your help!

:(

If you can't even figure out what RAM you need to buy, you don't need more RAM.

Idk how you got all that but thanks a lot, i really appreciate it :)

so much this!! not hatin, just how it is bro

Actually lold

It's a complete waste tho, buy a more storage ssd, hdd, lot more useful that a bunch of ram that will never be used.

I know man, i appreciate that perspective :)

Have 500gb or so ssd and 2tb external hdd already :)
