Is there a Linux distro that can be installed on this?

You could probably Google that question desu

Google gave a lot of bullshit, I need something that works.

Don't use Apple devices then

it's old you retard

>gen 2
>50MB free ram with iOS
Just buy a cheap tablet.

It has 32G of space, WiFi, can play music and is in general quality hardware.

>tfw i bricked my 1st gen ipod nano when I was 12 by trying to install linux
>didn't even know what linux was, just saw a YouTube tutorial that said it woul let you put pictures and video on it
>had to cover it up by pretending to listen to music because my parents would be suspicious if I suddenly stopped using it all the time

Good times.

>It has 32G of space
>RAM
>1st & 2nd gen: 128 MB LPDDR DRAM
That doesn't change the fact that is has shit memory. The screen is also small, it can barely play good video. You haven't even mentioned what you plan doing with this.

It's pretty fucking fast tho.

>iPod Touch
Hardcore customized μClinux because even iPodLinux don't support it.

>old Apple devices stop being Apple devices

Really makes me think.

Just jailbreak it and play with Darwin

Jailbreak, add ssh, then realize it is a Linux core already.

1/2 kek

>then realize it is a Linux core already
But that's wrong, you fucking retard.

>Jailbreak, add ssh, then realize it is a BSD core already.
Fixed.

Install Gentoo

I have a 1st gen running Android, but it's a really old version and the first and second stage Apple bootloaders are still there. The third stage is replaced with Open iBoot.

Stick to the Apple os on it.

you're not supporting the company in any way by utilizing a 10 year old device that's just laying around you retard

in general apple should be boycotted for being evil but this is different

is there some validity to this claim? source?

How do you jailbreak it without catching some nasty viruses or botnets?

Looking up when that thing was released, it seems that you could send it to Apple and receive a new one just a couple years ago still.

>he assumes his butthole is more in danger outside of jail

memers call it BSD despite it's just partially right. They could call it mach too, but that's won't work as circlejerking.

BSD may needs shills, but rely on the usual BS, like netflix and apple, won't help.

>tfw the prince of america has autism
ONE OF US

installing linux is purpose on its own

i was running debian armel on 64mb ram smartphone, and i even had LXDE on it.

...You could make it EVEN LESS useful
