I mean god damn, the microphone in my iphone doesn't crack no matter how loud I sing.

Soooooo, any actually good USB microphones you know of?

Bump lol.

Because it has automatic gain control you fucking idiot

But I turned gain for the mic all the way down to 2, and it's still cracking.

Just reduce the gain untill it doesnt clip anymore, and then use a compressor or limiter to bring the gain up.

Are you really that daft?

>Just reduce the gain untill it doesnt clip anymore

It won't go below 0.

It still clips at 1.

I want to have sex with your vocal cords

Here, just 4 u

This mic is killing me though.

Did I simply get a lemon or something?

Autistic spergs, this is a condenser microphone. It has nothing to do with your shitty dynamic microphones on your shitty phones or the shitty dynamic microphones used in live concerts that are used not because they are good but because they are insensitive.

This is a masterpiece of engineering. An actual microphone that picks up reality. It comes to reason it's much more sensitive.

Just don't be a sperg and don't stand right next to it. They are not meant to breath on them in loud voices. See videos.

I sang into it from like two feet away though.

This is from like a yard away, with the recording level still at 2:

I still hear some fuzziness on the high notes.

pls help

A snowball, why didn't you just buy a snowball

I didn't expect this meteor thing to be completely unusable.

It even sounds better than the snowball in some of the reviews.

So check the settings they used, or maybe yours is defective

well it definitely looks better than the memeball

The recording level is the only setting you can change afaik.

Other than the built-in playback, which I don't use.

I have an Audio Technica AT2005USB. Best mic I have ever owned.

I don't want the best, just not hopelessly unusable.

Just use the mic guide, skrub

that's volume, not gain lol

So how to adjust gain?

Probably inside of windows
