Corrupted Files

How can I delete a corrupted dir? It's fucking lagging my computer

Press delete key, click OK.

Doesn't work.

How do you know it didnt work?

the fuck is a "corrupted dir" how can i directory corrupted unless its some storage device you mounted

I tried.

I don't fucking know, that's why I am asking.

Burn a Linux live distro to a disk, load it up, mount your drive, navigate to the corrupted directory and have daddy Linux delete it for you.

Do you know how google works? Use it. there are literally videos on youtube made by children explaining how to do this. Don't get me wrong they are script kiddies with no technical skill of their own, but they are still more capable than you to google and follow instructions.

Windows chdsk. Linux/Mac fsck

File path to long comes to mind.

RD C:\user\desktop\bf /s /q

Run file system check. Delete.

If that doesn't work, delete it from a Linux live USB stick. Yes, you best deal with most such stupid ass Windows problems using Linux.

Have you tried installing gentoo?

install gentoo

I had this issue before.

First, run chkdsk /r
then scf /scannow
if that dont work, try some brute force cmd promt deletes
then intall gen2

How do you know it didnt work when you tried?

I think i know what your taking about. I downloaded a porno one time and when ever I opened the download folder where it was at it lagged my comp until I restarted it.
I tried deleting it normally but nothing happened.
Malwarebytes showed no virus.
I did have Ubuntu side installed so I booted that up and it played the video perfect and I was able to delete it.
No idea why this happened.

Are there any files inside?

In cmd

>cd blah/desktop/bf
>del *.*

Then try deleting the FOLDER

Underrated post

You could use winrar to delete it. When packing it select the "delete files after packing" option.

hey, it my gif

These are bait, yeah? No one's actually trying to claim credit for insignificant rubbish while anonymous, yeah?

>what is unlocker

>windows
Spotted the problem. /g is not you tech support.

rm -rf

unlocker

I usually use unlocker to deal with stuff like this, go download it from filehippo or wherever it's hosted now and install it, then right click on the folder, click unlocker, select delete and press okay, then reboot your computer.

Good luck out there OP

Don't use a piece of shit file system,

Oh wait, you are a wincuck lelel

Thank god it worked. I am installing ubuntu right now.Fuck that piece of shit Windows.
