Thermal Paste

First time building a PC, did I apply it correctly?

missed a spot *unzipz+

...

No. For PGA CPUs you need to use a conductive thermal paste, like Arctic Silver 5, otherwise you won't make a full connection.

>it's a "find a tech gore pic and roleplay xD" thread

Yeah man, you nailed it.

You're almost there, but is too nice to say you did it wrong, wash it off and try again!

>I am super serious and have no time for tomfoolery nope not once not even for a second and will only support SUPER SRS discussion on my SUPER SRS board.

>I have no sense of humour, intelligence or creativity so I make epic threads, using common photos to pretend like I accidentally messed something up but I didn't that's the joke I'm from Sup Forums haha xD I also reference memes IRL and I'm 15

pea sized dot on the center of the cpu.

don't put it on the pin side.

But how cool pins then 0-o....?????..

You missed some of the edge and corner pins.

Also, you may want to consider coating the fan, too, so it can conduct the heat to the air better.

Almost OP, it's usually applied directly to the socket instead. Picture related.

Do people actually do this

Using toothpaste instead of thermal compound is actually the way to go.

False. Mayonnaise is far superior.

Of course why else would it have a proper and good quality tutorial like that.

wrong dielectric grease will do it

Not if you live in a slavic country, then there is no alternative to Mayonnaise.

Ah yes, you are correct.

100% true.

Fucking mayo
