It dosen't take that much effort or money to upgrade to a crt monitor user, why haven't you done it?

It dosen't take that much effort or money to upgrade to a crt monitor user, why haven't you done it?

Because the picture is fuzzy, the resolution is too low, they weigh more than I do and take up my entire desk, and they lack modern connections like DVI and HDMI.

Those first two points are false... many pc crts (at least the good ones) can archive decent resolutions, and are sharp if you don't push them too high...
like user... whatever CRTs you had were obviously crap.

Also why do you need "modern connections"?

The CRT monitors I've had are all between 13 and 17 inches, and are all OEM brands, shipped with bargain-basement late-90s computers. Modern connections are necessary because modern GPU's don't have VGA.

You can buy a cheap passive DP/HDMI -> VGA adaptor.

Pain and simple weight

dont get me wrong, i love the picture quality of a good CRT, i use to own a nice sony that put every monitor ive ever owned to shame from just its color accuracy and true blacks, but it weighed 45 pounds

Yeah, but then I'd have to move my desktop forward 3 inches for the adapter to fit.

Any links where I can buy cheap 27 inch crt?

I really love crt, but it seams they nowhere to be found and your statement "dosen't take that much effort" is false.

>it's another "all I had when I was 3 was a piece of walmart shit so that's all there was" post
>it's another "I'm a lanklet with no muscle" post
>it's another "I don't know what an adapter is" post

OP's retarded unless you want a shit TV, finding good monitors is hit or miss

(it's just a meme in the end anyway)

>45 pounds
That ain't got shit on the 60lb 21" Gateway 2000 monitor I came across once.
Craigslist, or put an ad in your local newspaper asking for old CRT monitors. You might get what you're looking for. But 27" CRT PC monitors are hard to come by. And old CRT TV's typically don't have VGA.
>it's another "obsolete technology is better" post

What game is this?

Aquarium Simulator 1998.

>it's another "but it's old goy you wouldn't want OLD technology would you?" post indicating no real counter argument
dumb sheep

I'm waiting for another nice deal to show up on Craigslist. I once found someone willing to pay $10/monitor for the removal of three perfectly functional CRTs, two were 1920x1440 and one was 2048x1536

Why would you want 1366x768 when you can have 1920x1080? Why would you want an i5 2500k over a 7700k? Prices notwithstanding, CRT vs. LCD is no different than those.

you can get above 1080p on some crts though

I already have a Fish tank

The picture quality will still be shit compared to even the cheapest 1080p monitor.

>upgrade

No it won't.

see section 1 of the kinds of CRTs people shill on Sup Forums can do 1600x1200 upwards to 1440p at decent refresh rates

I'm not even a CRT shill it's just hilarious when you dumbshits pick all the wrong reasons to counter-shill

>there will never be a PDP monitor
ever.
why even buy tech in the current year?
sub standard and marketers don't even bother releasing anything with a decent featureset.
i blame the same faggots who are making cuckporn popular.
but that's just my tinfoilhat speaking of course. not like there's clearly something very wrong with the current generation

B e t f a m .
Where can I find one of these Sup Forums approved CRT's?

A 27" CRT would probably cost more to ship than the CRT itself is being sold for, kek.

Not to shill a particular brand or anything but anything that says Sony/Trinitron on it is likely to be solid.. no promises though.

But that's wrong. And quit shitposting.

1600x1200 85Hz here

Feels good

I still have my old trusty LG flatron f900p sitting under the desk.
what a beast of a monitor it was

They're gone where I live because of e-cycling. Not the TVs though. Just the monitors for some reason. Been looking for months.

Why are you even on this board?
That looks like a rebranded Diamond Pro 2070.

Because I'm technologically elite, unlike the rest of Sup Forums who are convinced that alternative operating systems and bleeding-edge hardware are the way of the future.

Buy an HDMI cable, an HDMI to DVI adapter, and a DVI to VGA adapter and problem solved.

You have an HDMI cable running to a God tier CRT monitor.

This is the best practical setup possible. Prove me wrong.

Protip: You can't.

>elite
>consumer gadgets

I can't understand why Sup Forums tries to use Windows as an alternative to GNU/Linux. Just doesn't make any sense to me either user.

>argues againist old tech
>argues against bleeding edge tech
????

They take up too much space and mounting them on a wall is damn near impossible (and if you do mount it, it needs to be in a corner because it's huge). I like having space on my desk for papers and a laptop. The better picture just isn't worth it for me.

I do use an old emachines CRT display on the computer in my garage though.

>there's clearly something very wrong with the current generation
They are consumer whores that cheap out on things that matter but dump their wallets and change jars when you dangle a shiny iShit in front of their noses.

t. 19 year old

bump for crts

U don't have a clue do you m8.
Best you can do is a 24" sony w900
Will run @ 2560x1600 though.

Let's make CRTs great again!

Phwoar!
I'd be him any day!
