Best program for this?
Best program for this?
youtube-dl
also use the stupid questions thread
if you're too young to use youtube-dl you're too young to use youtube
here's a cheat-sheet:
youtube-dl [url]
-f Format
-F Lists formats of URL
-x Extract audio (requires ffmpeg)
--audio-format vorbis
--audio-quality [0-9, 0 being best] OR [bitrate like 128k]
--recode-video [ogg or mp4 preferred]
-k Keep video
--add-metadata to video
--embed-subs to video [MKV and MP4 only]
--fixup [fixes known issues]
--playlist-items [1-4,6,7-9]
-i ignore errors
I'll be bumping this thread to ask, is youtube center fucked for anyone else?, videos won't load on dev build 542
>Getting audio from youtube
What if that audio is only available on YouTube and not offered anywhere else?
Recreate it yourself in audition
Good joke!
>What if that audio is only available on YouTube
Not worth getting it then
That's not true at all. There are plenty of artists who only release via video sites, like NND. And by extension, YouTube. There is no distributed lossless master, so you have to suck it up and dl the video. Many utaite covers for example are only available at
ask /ptg/
>There are plenty of artists
Post 5 of worthy music that is only available on youtube
>guys acting like there is no need for this
youtube is pretty usefull for audio desu, if you want to take samples for ur music for example. im using botnet online converters atm but this thread is absolutely no bs
thats subjective, whats worthy to him might not be worthy to you, and vice versa
>if you want to take samples for ur music
>using samples
>from youtube
Its like those people who save and repost a facebook image and you end with an image like this. Its the same with sites who re-encode audio.
Or maybe he is too retarded to find actual music sources.
doesn't youtube have a max audio quality of 192kbps? It's definitely below 320kbps, though
here's three, but a large amount of the utaite covers such as the latter 2 are video only, meaning capped at 192kbps unless they have the grace to release the master too
youtube.com
nicovideo.jp
nicovideo.jp
is there a better way to capture audio from a youtube video other than using an online converter?
literally mentioned in the first and second post
yes, using samples from youtbe. no problem with that if you know how to use stuff correctly. nice lqb image tho saving that one hehe
Well, I give you that, you don't need more than 192kbps to listen to generic fruity loops songs.
>knowing how to use stuff correctly
>using samples from youtube
Pic one and only one.
my bad
youtube-dl -x youtube.com
or if you don't like opus
youtube-dl -f- m4a youtube.com
*should be youtube-dl -f m4a
...
...
nice
better than the scrub above you who transcoded it to mp3
Anything for android?
youtube-dl
the only answer
youtube-dl on github op
youtube-dl x.video
ffmpeg -i x.video x.mp3
mv x.mp3 /user/music/x.mp3
rm x.mp3
youtube-dl can call ffmpeg to encode the output to mp3 by itself
not that you should be transcoding these to mp3 at all
Why would you even want to do this? If it's for music, just lol at using youtube videos as your music source.
Exactly, you should be dumping it to m4a (or better opus, but nobody uses that)
search in nicotine+
youtube-dl --extract-audio --audio-format mp3
kys.exe
Where's the "You have successfully stolen %s"?
i considered adding such a thing, but i didn't want to have to dismiss it manually
delete UBE from the link (yout dot com)
Just get mp4 and demux the audio or delete the video inside and keep the file as mp4
JDownloader
How about for your android? Newpipe doesnt work any longer.
Most of the music I listen to comes from tiny little no-name thrash, hatecore, racist, oi, RAC bands that can't be found anywhere else for free or don't have those particular versions listed anywhere else.
Use youtube-mp3.org or youtube-dl
Oh and I use youtube-dl
If you can't figure out command line or how to write a simple script to automate downloading videos then you need to stop fucking posting. Genuinely.
Songr worked just fine for me everytime I used it. Once you paste a YT Video URL in the search bar and press enter, after a few seconds the window to save the video will open, in File Type you choose .mp3 and that's it. I also pass the .MP3 through MP3Gain because I like to have my music play at the same volume, but that's just me.
There's also keepvid dot com, never had problems with that site either.
youtube-dl has audioonly options, but if you use s method, you can remove the video with `ffmpeg -i input.whatever -map a:0:0 output.whatever`
No. But Sup Forums is full of retards, apparently.
They'd rather install sketchy shit on their PCs or use some command line autism instead of just downloading the audio/video directly:
youtubemultidownloader.com
also
>mp3
Youtube doesn't use that shitty format and neither should you.
>some shitty website full of social media links and javascript crap
or
>a lightweight command line program that just werkz
I wonder...
