Meanwhile I paid $60 for an industry leading air cooler that's super quiet, easy to install and zero maintenance.

Yeah? Whats it called OP, not shitposting i need to replace my watercooler that shit on me

Tfw nh-14

There is no cure for being retarded. Marika best girl.

Nh-d15 here, silent beast.

anyone who isn't overclocking to 4.2+ and is watercooling is a fucking idiot

>$60
>Not paying $20 on sale for a Gamaaxx 400 with 5/6ths the performance
Out fucking gyped

I-I want the DH-14 but I'm afraid my ITX board will break

>Muh quiet
Literal autism

I'm running 4.7 on air with a 4790k
Some golden chips are hitting 5.0
A blanket statement like what you're claiming is retarded at best.

Confession: I bought an AIO single fan rad system for my 5280K. I was intending on OCing it, but then stopped giving a shit when I realized that it would provide a minimal gain at best for what I use my computer for.

I think the pump is slowly dying, and when it does, I'm going to replace it with a decent air cooler. I guess the nice thing about watercooling the CPU is that, regardless of overclocking, it vents the heat out of the system a little better.

Oh well, lesson learned.

Ok so you're even more right. I said 4.2+ you dumbass. Watercooling is for idiots is my point.

Irony

>His computer has fans

Enjoy your early fan death.

>falling for the watercooling meme
I bet you have an SSD too.

>Transport desktop ~60 miles 2 or 3 times per year
>Hyper 212 is a heavy chunk of metal bouncing up and down
>Every bump makes a creaking sound
>Terrified it's going to crack my mobo
>Buy an AIO
>No more creaks, not worried about driving my desktop around

thinking of getting a watercooler just so i dont have to worry about all my sata cables getting in the way of airflow

Meanwhile I paid $3.50 for three 120mm fans with color LEDs because I don't live in a shit country where everything is overpriced. Americucks on suicide watch.

14$ right now after 10$ rebate

This is one of the VERY few applications low end water coolers are great for.

you got a few options

1) if you have the space, a 212 will beat out most single fan rads
2) if you have the space, a d15 will beat out all dual fan rads and a few triple fan rads

A custom loop will be silent, will be cooler, and will allow for higher ocs, and depending on what you do, that oc may be justifiable (8/10 core systems rendering, that .2ghz oc looks FAR better then a 4 core gaming one in gains)

with a custom loop you also have the ability to pipe the water out of the room and radiate somewhere else, or put the rad into a bucket of water and just let that water absorb the heat, and if it gets warm, add a bit of ice.

hell, you could even use a massive bucket of water as a reservoir and not even use rads, just dump a bit of ice in it every now and then and be done with it. on idle that will cool itself down on its own, and in use you are likely watching temps... if you aren't you are stupid.

so few people take advantage of the stupid but great things watercooling offers you, no shit ifs fucking almost worthless if you vent the goddamn air to something that's inside the fucking case.

Why doesn't water-cooling systems use a condensing system like a fridge?

CM V8 GTS here

>He overpays for a few degrees off
I went from 70c on a 8350 at 100% load. To 38c. That's a bit more than a few you faggot.

Meanwhile my cooler was $11. I am going to switch to watercooling eventually, it just seems fitting when your case is a yacht

My 3570k never goes above 42 C even on full load
3+ years running fine with no leaks.
I don't have to clean anything other than my dust filters that are all around my case.

What about you?

Nh u12s here, best $70 I've ever spent on my pc.

Yeah I fell for the meme.

>212
>not H7

fuck off with your dead dumb slut

Tell that to the 9590fx

>The company he bought the cooler from won't cover any damages
they do if you buy from the right one
>He has to deal with loud annoying fans and pumps
not any more than yours

>he fell for the fx 9590 meme

People who watercool shouldn't feel bad, it has its uses.

Ultimately though, I hate the idea of thousands of dollars in hardware because of the manufacturer. Only Corsair will replace your shit and it's only up to $1000.

I'm happy with my NH-U12s. I'm doing push pull and it literally just works.

>loud annoying fans and pumps
DDC variants are very quiet, and if you know what to buy you can get quiet fans as well. Gentle Typhoons are the shit.

>AIO
nah

>build system in 2009
>use cheap fans that came with case
>all three have been running non-stop since then with no signs of dying
How long do your fans last, user?

3930k at 4.7ghz here, don't think many air coolers are going to like dealing with 200+w it puts out at full noise

Because Condensation rads are fucking huge, the fans are loud
Compression is also big, loud, consumes alot of power

Noctua plebians please leave

There's refrigeration systems you can connect directly as well as water chillers to pull you below ambient, but they're expensive, noisy and power hungry so nobody really bothers with them

AIO cooling is not watercooling. It has all the cons and none of the pros.

He is not writing about fans but about your life (he is a gook). en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fan_death

shut up

>buy 2500k during ivy release
>buy 212 (not even hyper, or plus or whatever)
>OC, temps stay low
>mobo dies
>get skylake as kaby releases
>continue using 212

I don't think $25 has ever taken me so far before

>he watches anime

I use an AIO because nothing else will fit in this tiny fucking case

>do this
>still using 2500k and see no need to upgrade
Best 2 purchases of my life desu.

>koreans believe you'll die if you sleep with a fan on in the room
I must be immortal then.

I'll bite. My custom loop cooler keeps my CPU under 60c sustained, which isn't incredible, but also keeps my GTX 1070 at around 26c idle and 36c sustained maximum load.

The DDC pump I use is nearly silent, and those temperatures I mentioned we achieved with minimum PWM duty cycle on my fans.

As for leak risk, sure, but it's a well managed risk when done properly.

Most importantly though, I did it because it's fun. Water cooling is my hobby. I don't do it because I need to.
