Got a KBParadise v60 with gateron blues as my first mech. Wow. I am impressed

Post keyboards if you hate communism and socialism.

...

Just one more day for my MOD-H switches to arrive :D

Looking forward to a good few hours of desoldering and soldering!

good night /mkg/

>his keyboard hasnt actually defeated commies

Nearly two-thirds (62 percent) of firearm deaths in the U.S. are suicides.

Of the 169,395 firearm deaths in the US from 2011 to 2015 (the most recent five years of data available), 105,183 (or 62 percent) were suicides. To calculate this total, Everytown relies on CDC data regarding fatal injury by intent.

maybe that's because the us is fucked up and has no mental health care to speak of unless you can afford to pay out the ass lmao

Ended up buying one of those miami sets from ebay.

Pretty sure it was this one

How bad did I fuck up?

It looks more like cotton candy then tai-hao miami

So should I plasti dip my model M to be something better looking than le classic beige?

>ISO

What a garbage keyboard

True. Guess I'll have to see when it arrives in a month.

who cares lol just let cunts have guns

You could, or you can ask unicomp to make you a custom case. They already sell black and industrial cases so if you want one that isn't in those two colors ask them

Time for you to make a beige workstation.

Amber display. Nostalgia.

let's split with custom keycaps, gat greens, wood case with wrist rest and a bigmouth

...

Now that I have 2 keyboards, I realize that I don't even type enough to warrant all the obsessing I've been doing. The only extended periods where it really matters are during gaming sessions or software hotkeys, and I don't think that any sort of heavy weight or tactility is really necessary in these situations. I could foresee situations down the line at a job where I'd be doing many data entries, but that's mostly just numbers.

It's not like I'm going to be a stenographer or writer, so maybe none of this was really necessary after all. Gateron red or some other sort of light linear and call it a day.

I know it's a challenge. Doesn't have to be cherry MX browns. As long as it's too "clicky". This is for a friend.

No it's not a challenge. Thousands of cheap chinese boards that cost less with or without LEDs. You can turn those off anyways.

Not gonna be cherry at this price range but it's good enough as a gift.

oh, thanks guy. Not a gift he just doesn't want to spend more than that with certain restrictions.

What switch should I use for stuff like 3D modeling software navigation? Pressing ALT and CTRL all the time on blues gets really tiring after a while. Are reds any better for repetitive things like that?

So I just got a KBP V60, it came with a sticky switch, at first I used some isopropyl to "clean" it, it came good, but after a while, the switch became "Sticky" again.

I managed to lube it and it now is working as expected, I figure it is just a dodge switch(clearances fucked or something), but im ok to keep it lubed.

My question is, could I replace this switch ? is it possible to do that on a KBP V60 without desoldering etc ??

also, it is a MX brown switch, is my reasoning that the switch is most likely "tight" reasonable ? any pro tips ?

and last one, where can I get some epic DSA keycaps for this particular board ?
WASD
Pimpmykeyboard
any others I should be looking at ?

The jpg is what I want.

Pic related, ANSI Unix keyboard layout that i'm looking for. So far I haven't had any luck finding one that is equipped with mechanical switches.

Any MX-stem switch where your fingers can "rebound" back off the key easily for typing while still being easy to hold/actuate for gaming? Obviously MX browns would be under this category but I heard they're shit. Are gaterons any better on the tactility end or are they about the same?

gateron browns aren't scratchy like cherry ones, so being smoother can maybe help you feel the bump a little more

Topre is snappy while being light.

A few keys got lost for my trusty ol dell quietkey
Does anyone know what this connector is classified as, or what I would even search for to find new caps for it?

is the ducky ones' backlit color locked or can it be changed?

Is the latency for wireless keyboard as bad as people think? I don't play much games (Osu! occasionally) an

d program / browse the web most of the time. Will I notice the discrepancy between wired and wireless keyboards?

I think those are ALPS

that's not alps. too big

deskthority.net/wiki/NMB_dome_with_slider

Does anyone have personal experience with white cherry MX switches? I've hear that they are inconsistent and keys feel different on the same keyboard, is that still true?

Your keyboard is designed in a socialist country and built in a communist one, you dickhead.

I've got one right in front of me. The only thing ai notice is that some keys aren't clicky sometimes, though you only notice that if you feel up single keys. Don't notice any of that when actually typing.

So I have gotten my CM Novatouch on Topre. And this is completely amazing thing.

No.

Are you mad, commifag?

>japan
>socialist
>china
>communist
kys retard

yes, both are correct.

china hasn't been communist in like 40 years you fucking retard

you fucking sperg, there is one political party in power and has been for decades, thus there is no true democracy, so they are by definition, communist.

>there is no true democracy, so they are by definition, communist

are you perhaps confusing communism with a dictatorship or oligarchy

you got any of those hot alternate facts to back up your frogposting, you dumb cunt?

Oh, i dunno why i'd think china was communist when the sole ruling party is called the communist party of china.

jesus fucking christ, there is some dumb cunts on this board.

thoughts on clears? are they gud

used to use a dell at101w which I believe has simple black alps

just like how the australian liberal party is liberal and not conservative and the democratic people's republic of korea is a free democracy and not a cult-like dictatorship right

just like how the chinese state owns or has a sizeable percentage of most chinese businesses, or how it runs the media, or how there is only 1 political party.

yes, it's gotten a whole lot more free market friendly, but it's still a communist country.

fuck me, you're thick as fuck.

>Mechanical Feel Keyboard
what did they mean by this?

membrane with a click upon actuation, a lie in other words.

Political system and economical system are two separate things. Whether we call China's political system communism or not is irrelevant, what's important is: they have proven capitalism doesn't need democracy to work. In fact, it works even more efficiently and dynamically under authoritarian political system, which means humanity is fucked in the long run.

Communism is a classless, stateless society where the means of production are commonly owned.

A state owning businesses, running the media and presence of one political party are all features of fascism and capitalist oligarchy, see: Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy or modern-day Russia, and to a small extent the United States.

Thoughts on different switches for different keys?
It looks to be about 10$ more expensive but since I'm gonna get a DIY kit anyway, I was thinking of getting browns for most keys and greens for f-keys and spacebar, or somesuch.

i dont know why you'd mix tactile with clicky, why not blues+greens or browns+clears?

It's never wrong to be RIGHT

For real? Or are you complaining about shitty switches?

for real, they're membrane with a bump.

cuz. I won't do it if it's an outright bad idea, but I don't know that yet. I just want the fkeys to feel different. Might be a bad idea to put a green on the spacebar though. Maybe a super black for the esc key just to spice things up. No?

That's pretty sad.

Hows is typing in that keyboard?

>commie mug.
Uhg...

Any Cooler Master shills here? Make sure they live up to the Make it Yours slogan. Would love to get an alternative to WASD keykaps, not only for colours but also for EU layouts.
Just got off livechat and there was only 1 sku with my layout (brown switches). Pretty disappointing.

There are plenty of keyboards with the ansi unix layout, but the only one with greens I was able to find was the WASD Code

Dear mkg: I'm looking for a reprogrammable separate numpad. One that preferably has:

-Macro support, not just button replace
-Several profiles to switch between different macro sets
-Doesn't need software to use macros (it's fine if I need software to program it in the first place, I just want to be able to use a macro if i switch computers without having to install anything new)

how much did you pay for your board+caps+cable? whered you get them?

duckychannel.com.
tw/page-en/Ducky-Pocket/

where does it say it has all these features? As far as I can see, you can change the function of one key for another, but no macros.

>how much did you pay
i don't remember, too much tho

>whered you get them?

Cable you can figure out on your own. I'm not going to recommend braided cables to anyone again.

dude should've just gone to reddit and smeared him, that always works

good morning /mkg/ lets post sexy keyboards together

...

...

New addition. It's delightful.

Anything with gmk carbon is sexy

even a HHKB

Just picked up two Model Ms for around 150 bux. The one in the pic is bolt modded.

not even joking, if the keys were slightly more yellowed out, it would look GOAT

well GMK keycaps are made from ABS so it should be no problem after like a month

>have 10 year old piece of shit computer
>300$ hhkb
>robber breaks in
>ignores the keyboard, takes the computer

ayyy

:(

well, let's hope google translate doesn't lead to some horrible misunderstandings

Commie

Hey guys *raises spork

I'm looking for a keyboard that comes with cherry mx clears for under 200 dollars. What are some reputable brands and where should I look?

I just quickly used google search since I'm not in Germany, but there are plenty of different models

Thanks for the suggestion but as far as I can see it doesn't come with backlight. Which I need for my nightly fapping activities

then get the CM Quickfire TK

I have a V60 albeit with Matias switches. The switches are plate-mounted, meaning you'll need to de-solder it from the PCB to remove it. Don't be put off by that idea though, it's not difficult just take your time.

As far as I know, DSA is a profile by Signature Plastics (sold through their Pimp My Keyboard brand) so they are your only real bet for keysets. Keep an eye out for groupbuys, or you can buy regular dye-sub sets freely from PMK, but with limited colour / legend options. You should be able to reproduce your image easily though.

There are some chink DSA keycaps floating around on aliexpress
