If the future is 2003

that actually looks fun as fuck, where can i get it and play it on windows?

This game is an art on the levels of Centipede and Tetris.

You're retarded. If you wanna play games, use Windows.

This. Nothing wrong with being the idort equivalent in your OS choices

Linux gaming is getting better. If Vulkan really takes of we might start getting decent games.

GET OUT OF HERE STALKER

yet the main demo of vulkan still ain't on Linshit

X-ray is open source now. Port it yourself.

Faggots, we classic now

You're retarded. If you want to use a computer, use linux.

Edit: Thanks for the gold kind stranger!

>The state of Windows "gaming"

All I can see.

>current state of memeing

i'm playing civ 6 right now....

>installs gentoo just so his desktop can look exactly like default xubuntu

well meme'd my friend

I have played many of my Steam games on GNU/Linux and gotten subpar performance in all of them except Plague Inc. and Terraria. Differences are huge, for CSGO I got 40 FPS on GNU/Linux and 270 FPS on Windows; of the list I tried KF and the difference was also over 150 FPS. I didn't even bother with any Borderlands. GNU/Linux is shit for games, stop deluding yourself.

Here's some games in my library that I can play in GANOO+LOONIX:

>Amnesia: The Dark Descent
>The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth
>Braid
>Broken Age
>Cave Story+
>CS, CS:S, CS:GO
>Devil Daggers
>Dota2
>Enter the Gungeon
>Euro Truck Simulator 2
>Factorio
>FTL
>Garry's Mod
>Lesbian Walking Simulator
>HL, HL2, HL2 Episodes 1,2
>Hotline Miami 1&2
>Hyper Light Drifter
>Jagged Alliance 2 - Wildfire
>La-Mulana
>L4D2
>Limbo
>Long Live The Queen
>Lovely Planet
>LUFTRAUSERS
>Natural Selection 2
>Nuclear Throne
>Papers, Please
>Payday 2
>Portal 1&2
>Risk of Rain
>Serious Sam 3
>Shadow Warrior
>Shovel Knight
>Spec Ops: THE LINE
>Star Wars KOTOR 2
>Starbound
>Stadew Valley
>Super Hexagon
>Super Meat Boy
>System Shock 2
>The Talos Principle
>Teleglitch
>Terraria
>VVVVV
>FUCKING UNDER MEME

It's Xubuntu

>install gentoo
>play sjw femanazi game

wow

What the fuck, I've tested csgo on Linux and got 200fps with no problems (max settings). Your distro is shit.

...

>implying I play it

Do you even have autism?

I'm just a casual, the CS bundle is enough for me, it's pretty much what I play these days

All kinds of backwards compatibility on windows is broken now. Windows 10 won't even load the games I want to play, so I don't see how GNU/Linux could possibly be any worse. Windows is also botnet, has two settings applications, and eats RAM like an African kid at a buffet.

He's probably just using an old AMD card. In any other case he's full of shit.

But it supports tons of AAA trash games, like Hitman.

Toppest Of Keks.

I only play Garry's Mod, Quake 3 and Jedi Knight 2 and they all work well enough on Linux.
I don't really do a lot of video games.
I have some others like openarena and sauerbraten that I sometimes try to get my friends into, and they all run fine on my Arch.

I'm on linux now, but minesweeper is one of my favorite games.
I just play with sgt-mines from the sgt-puzzles package now, it has the nice feature to always generate guessless games (it can be turned off though).

tuxracer is nice though

holy fuck we had this at school

HOLY FUCK

About 3000 games on steam. More than current gen consoles.

Excellent post

...

I like you already.

There are no games on loonix!

For me it is a windows VM with a passthrough GPU.

Run Windows in a VM and pass through the GPU.

Oh shit I didn't see this until I posted Coincidence.

Does linux have thunderbolt 3 gpu support yet?

yes stalker
works without problems with wine, currently playing COP
just install d3dx9_31 and d3dx9_42

I sorry play PC gaems not WC (windowns computer) games.

>getting profit from free stuff

dota werks fine

This was actually very fun!

>MFW sittin here with my manjaro + GPU passthrough

Don't you need two GPUs for that?

Yea. Haswell or newer can do it w/ IGP.

Extreme tux racer is goty tho

All the patrician needs.

The two GPU/setting up for VGA passthrough thing isn't as bad as it sounds on paper.

>just need a semi-modern motherboard and decent CPU
>for some reason a few modern ones aren't compatible but a lot are
>one of the GPUs can be integrated, so if you have a dedicated you're likely good to go

Like yeah, if you're the part of Sup Forums that only uses Linux because it's $0 and you own an 8 year old $200 corporate laptop maybe you're out of luck but most people should be able to work it out. No one says the parts have to be expensive.

I'm curious, what do you do in this game?

I thought about doing the GPU passthrough thing, but then I remembered that why would I bother with linux when all I do on my personal computer is browse the web and play games.

This is just tinkering for the sake of tinkering imo. If you're already running linux, then fine, but if you're primarily on windows why bother going through all this?

I can see this being useful for HTPC setups that rely on steam in-home streaming though, leaving the windows VM on in the background for that and still being able to use the linux part of the machine whilst someone else is using the windows VM.

This is great. Too bad it's unfinished while being closed source and teasering me at the same time.

Works for me....

Isn't 3 works in wine 2.1?
I could run it in wine-staging 2.0 but there were in-game artifacts. And they implemented a lot of staff that were required by W3 in 2.1

It would be for people who mainly use or want to switch to Linux but still want to play games. The entire point is that they would still do everything that isn't a game, including browsing the web, on Linux. Furthermore, virtual machines have incredible security and utility benefits like snapshots and virtualization itself. It's hugely desirable compared to inconveniences such as dual booting or owning two computers and doubling the hardware cost, syncing the storage data, etc. When you dual boot, it's not just about having to deal with a 30 second reboot every time you vaguely feel like doing something, after which you may have lost your motivation to do it, as weak as that sounds. It's also about not having to stop what you're doing, close that browser and those pages you're reading, that file you're working on, and instead be able to switch to "another computer" without actually physically switching to one. It saves physical space and presence in the real world too.

In the more practical sense, as a bare minimum, it gives you the safety, security and relative lack of spying of Linux with the functionality and pragmatism of Windows. Anything extra is just a bonus to most people.

your character gets lost in their childhood home while remembering they're a dyke.

>Kek

yeah, and all of them outside half a dozen valve games that they port, because "we invested into steam os", autism simulators, and a bunch of feral ports, are shitty indie games(let's be honest, 99% of indie games are crap) i wouldn't touch with a pole.
Xcom and amnesia are pretty cool, though.

Who are you quoting?

my main goal was to get rid of the 4 computers i had laying around. I'm down to 2 and if my motherboard had more than 16 fucking PCIe lanes I would be down to 1.

now that i know it's limitations i'm not even that interested in passthrough. the solution for me was to get a few pi3s and sprinkle around the house. i love them as web terminals

i don't even like LOTR but Mordor is awesome

you're mom

but the bamham evasion mechanicsssss1!11

OR you could just fucking dual boot

those rare times I need some functioniality not provided by my awesome windows OS I can spin up an Ubuntu VM and take my computing to the next level.
