It's just shitty bloatware now. Uninstall it and when you want to update drivers, do a standalone driver installation.
AMD drivers are shit though. I can't have my display go to sleep or else I need to do a hard reset. apparently this problem is known to be caused by AMD drivers past a certain version and has gone unfixed for a long time now.

just uninstall it. All you need is the nvidia control panel unless you're using shadowplay or something. It's a real shit move on nvidia's part. They're doing social media integration and shit now too.
