Intel BTFO!

Jewtel will drop the price of the 7700K/6700K?

Oooh look its wccftech.com queue a videocardz.com post following along in 3...2...

Seriously never heard of either of these sites in all my years until I came to this dumpster fire of a board.

>I don't know what is a NDA

...

The low price is less impressive than the low TDP
Intel needs 47% more power to achieve the same speed.

have you seen a jew donating money?

>drop price
Not if the Happymerchant has any say.

Intel doesn't like dropping prices.

They'll just invest billions into marketing and bribes.

They can't offer the i5-7600k at $175 or the i7-7700k at $225 which would be rather competitive prices because they cost more to make. They have an iGPU and are a significantly larger die.

Intel will have to modify their chip layout and release a new socket to truly compete.
They could already have designs they didn't bother making because they were ripping people off so good already, though. That might be why they're rushing Coffee Lake ahead early, to bring new SKUs to market.

TDP != wattage.
It's just a blanket rating for the minimum cooler size needed.
i7-6700k is like a 91W TDP rating but it instead draws around 110watts at load. Will have to wait for real tests and benchmarks to see Ryzen's true performance/watt.

and devalue 8 years of marketing?
it will be PR nightmare if they do that

Can we shop a picture of a bruised and battered Intel shill? Seeing as how Intel is going to get its ass smashed in anyways.

is it true that intel is literally emptying their offices in several key locations world wide after these benches were released?
like...woah...

Amada-chan is actually a yandere, who knew

Nah. They'll invest money into bribing OEMs to use their chips over AMD's again.

I hope intel finally dies and the PC industry recovers

Dell gets a 30% discount for Intel CPUs if they don't use AMD in any of their products

You know what would be funny?

If AMD offered a bounty to the OEMs for any evidence of Intel trying to bribe them.

...

I wouldn't be surprised if that were still happening seeing as how Intel still hasn't paid up for the first time.

The thing is, I don't think this same strategy would work again these days.

People don't care so much about "intel inside". The big thing most of them look for is battery life.
Raven Ridge is going to destroy Intel in battery life. An OEM taking a 30% kickback bribe for not using any AMD products at all is going to lose to another OEM whose laptop will play netflix for 15 hours on a battery instead of 12.

>good multi threaded performance
>bad single threaded performance

If those rumors about them going after the gaming market is true then they are damn stupid. Their CPU's will be worse than Intel because of that single threaded performance especially with Intel on full panic mode and about to release the 7640k and 7740k with insanely high oc and unmatchable single threaded performance.

I remember them doing the same with the fx line if cpu by bundling in games to appeal to gamers but everyone knew they were shit for games. Why can't they just be normal and market it to the people who will actually buy this stuff because they require the good multi threaded performance e.g. video producers, animators etc. That's still a massive market.

Goddamn amd can't do anything right.

>the plebs arguing again.

Join VIA and see the light.

>Being so brainwashed by the Jew, that you brainwash yourself

So this is the Happymerchant endgame.

Via is a false prophet preying on the feeble minded

>AMDfags are excited about performance on par with Intel's from literally 2015
>the only advantage these new chips have is MOAR COREZ and that they're cheap so the poor Brazilians can finally buy a mid-tier CPU
come on guys lol
starting to wonder if AMD is just posting all of this marketing material or something

>market to a bunch of people who base all their purchases off digital foundry
>implying digital foundry will do amd any favors and bench games with good multi threaded performance instead of the regular shitters like ac:unity and gta 5

>not just simply marketing the product based on its advantages to people who'd appreciate those advantages I.e. people who do media production

>>>>-95% the single threaded of an i7-6700k is bad
Go shill somewhere else.

These shill posts are just pathetic.
Ryzen single core perf/clock is in the range of Haswell-Broadwell.
Stay in Sup Forums with the rest of the little kids.

VIA's highest performance part is like 20% slower than an Athlon 5350.

>defending jew prices

gayms don't need single threading anymoar

No, the problem for you isn't the marketing.

The problem for you, you Intel shill, is you're upset that the pricing literally makes Intel look like a massive group of Jews and you want AMD to raise prices in order to keep the status quo.

Fuck off.

>mfw Intel 2015 performance is essentially Intel 2017 performance
Post yours as well anons!

How does he constantly wreck so much shit?

How exactly is XFR going to work? Temperature isn't the only limit when it comes to OC, at some point the voltage just fries the CPU and it can degrade it even at lower levels. Surely they have an upper limit for the voltage? What about warranty. This is pretty confusing.

reminder the man no longer works for AMD, ryzen's glory days are short-lived

What the fuck are you talking about? You can't even refute my points because you know it's true. Enjoy the media trashing amd despite the new cpu's being good because they're advertised as gaming cpu which can't match Intel in single threaded performance (as a 9/10 games). Don't say I didn't want you.

>his legacy won't live on, ushered in by the chosen pajeets
Blasphemer

I know you want me, but your homosexuality is irrelevant.

Also
>advertised as gaming cpu
Ha, nice one. Your bait was almost coherent.

Ask your mom.

You non-believers must be working for the Demon King Freescale.

Trying to guide Humanity away from the light.

Trying to destroy x86.

Trying to Devour the world.

>try to talk about the underlying technical aspects of zen
>thread is just shitposing and memes

Jesus Christ, can we get a separate board from consumer electronics fags already?

He left 3 future designs to iterate Zen into. AMD is fine for at least 4 years.

>tfw have to buy Biostar to be able to get Ryzen up and running in time for Mass Effect Andromeda
What do you guys think of Biostar? I've heard some really bad experience from them.

Won't know until NDA is lifted.

There are safeties for voltage for sure and it's also going to monitor stability.

But will it automatically overclock to 4.5Ghz smoothly as long as you have the cooling and there is a bottleneck? Will it overclock/underclock per core? We don't know and probably won't until Feb 28th.

>implying the one ryzen booth amd have had so far didn't solely focus on gaming and showed off dota 2 streaming, bf1 gameplay and star wars battlefront

They literally said themselves that it's targeted at the gamer.

...

The thing is if there are save voltages above the specification, why is the specification that low in the first place?

Beats the shit out of my Xeon.

Depends on what board you get. Some Biostar boards are bad, others are good (I know there was an LGA 775 board they made that was the best for C2D overclocking), most are fairly meh. Have a Biostar board right now, and aside from some quirks it works.

Biostar is one of those cheap but reliable (again, depends on the board) brands, but don't expect anything fancy out of what they do.

>a handful of booths define a marketing campaign
>you wouldn't try to market to every segment
That's why your CPU business failed

Also
>said themselves that it's targeted at the gamer.
prove that it's SOLEY targeted at gamers.

>stupid video game benchmarks
>no word of ECC memory support

>ECC
>~$350 consumer CPU

what for?

>NDA
Never Doubt AMD

>it would cost them more meme

You realize the that whole point of smaller architecture is more dies per wafer.Intel has been using the same architecture for years thus been making revenue due to smaller size

What exactly qualifies this as a "consumer" CPU?

Avoid that word, by the way.
gnu.org/philosophy/words-to-avoid.html#Consumer

>wccftech
while i would love if these benchmarks turned out to be true they post a lot of bullshit all the time

>link to manifest of some sort
>expects to be taken seriously

Because the spec doesn't know what your ambient temps are and how good your cooling is.

When it says it has a 3.7Ghz turbo 65W TDP, it has to 3.7Ghz turbo with a cooler designed for 65W TDP when it's 40C ambient.

The bullshit they post is usually a lot further out. We're less than two weeks from these things being on shelves, and every leak so far has suggested the same sort of performance. I think it's safe to say that we probably know how Ryzen will perform now, unless every single leak is both fake and part of a coordinated effort.

Makes sense. I sure hope that this shit will allow for 4.5 GHz on a custom water cooling loop.

>unless every single leak is both fake and part of a coordinated effort

that would rustle /x/ crowd to the skies, heck i'll start believing in alien probes at that point

yeah some coordinated effort

literally two sites no one has ever heard of before

it must of cost Advanced Micro Devices hundreds

>wccftech is not currytech when it supposed my beloved corporation!

Ryzen is a smaller die than the 7700k and 6900k, regardless. And the yields are apparently fantastic.

Yes, the 14nm 7700k should cost less than the 22nm 4690k when it also uses like 20-30% less material and more are made per wafer (I don't know die size for each off the top of my head), but not really half the price.

>literally two sites no one has ever heard of before
i hope you don't mean videocardz you newfig

KILLA KELLER

>videocardz
>z
I discard anything with ghetto/gamer spelling.

Difference is that WCCF is trash, VideoCardz is good.

>literally two sites no one has ever heard of before

You mean two sites that you've never heard of before, my sweet little new refugee from Sup Forums.

>projecting your pitiful consumerism onto others

I have a 4790K and no need for a CPU right now.

>I have a 4790K and no need for a CPU right now.

Sure you do, and I have a Ryzen 1800x right now, just got it from my secret contact.

how is your house? still standing?

I got a sprinkler system, don't worry.

Hahahahaha Intel BTFO

I very much doubt you have the money for any high end CPU, friend. People who have nice things don't get flustered at the idea of other people having nice things.

>I very much doubt you have the money for any high end CPU, friend.

Nice baseless assumptions, sad AMD pays for such low tier marketers.

AMD doesn't pay for marketing. It's actually one of their biggest weaknesses.

It seems almost too good to be true, i'll wait for full reviews.

I got this

Bad single core performance isn't that much of a problem. The Ryzen CPUs have enough performance on single core for about 120 FPS in most games, easy, if the graphics card can handle it. Even my CPU manages like 70-80 FPS in GTAV and my single core performance is comparable to AMD FX crap.

At a point where you're dealing with i7 6950K level of single core performance, which is pretty bad mind you, you're high enough that even if a 6700K or 7700K or whatever CPU you got on the low end platform, it won't make enough difference to matter.

The only way single core performance is gonna hold you back is if you have extremely low performance.. like me.

Amada!!

sure they are pajeet, sure they are

im a refugee from slashdot my friend

What chip(s)?

Its a shitty microcode development chip from the trash bin. Haswell-E 12 core at 2.3 ghz and 72w.

Huh. Well, it could be worse.

>MUH TDP
TDP mean shit. Intel and AMD measure it differently. Both of them frequently go over their rated TDP, even at stock settings.

Picture related, stock Haswell 4670, rated at 84W, draws 110W constantly under heavy load.

I'm proud to have helped AMD in their darker times,
with my FX-6300 @ 4 GHz
Now I can reap the reward.

My first AMD was an 80386 @ 40 MHz.

It's pretty good considering it's essentially worthless. Certainly ain't gonna say no to that power efficiency.

My Pheon II x2 550 never went over its TDP rating on stock, even had to OC it really hard to break over the TDP.

Is it finally time to upgrade my i5 2500k? Or should I just slap on a new video card for when
vive 2
comes out?

>VR
>4 core chip
Nah m8

lol VR is 99.95 GPU and a bit of HI-SPEED memory

No, that has been happening since they started sacking the validation departments in 2013

Keep telling that you'reselfe 4 core cuck

>sacking validation
B-but why.
It's one of the most time consuming process in chip development.

one look at the figures and results of today will tell you the prospects of tomarrow

is this news to you?

That's why
Gotta compete with muh ARM

>his face when Ryzen

>if i talk like smarts they will surely think i know what im talking about!!
See this? This is you right now.
Go back to Sup Forums, reddit or wherever you came from.

>one look at the figures and results of today will tell you the prospects of tomarrow
So, 4 cores being hardly enough for VR today, will show me that 4 cores won't be enough for VR tomarrow.
Got it.

Guys should I upgrade from i5 3470? The problem for me is that I can't sell my old stuff.
