PS/2

or

USB

What is the true path?

If you have to ask, you'll never know.

USB: Mouse
PS2: Keyboard

Because of pooling?

PS2. I use a usb to PS2 convertor so I get less latency.

Wireless

have you, at any point in your life, needed to hotkey a task that required more than 6 keys to be pressed?

if yes PS/2

if no, just USB it

>pooling

>not using comfy 3 button serial mouse

>what are bottlenecks

Its stupid, but its not a bottleneck you ding dong.

Don't remember what pooling is in this context, but its because PS2 has no issue with N-key rollover by default, while USB keyboards have to specifically account for it.
USB for mouse because I'm sceptical about the old PS2 port having the same 'accuracy' with high sensitivity/polling mice and whatnot.

DVI

or

Displayport?

What is the true path?

Displayport, hands down. DVI had its day, but no way can DVI stand up against DP.

VGA

or

DisplayPort

?

>max throughput is 6KRO
>put a converter so 6KRO can go into NKRO
>you still have a max throughput of 6KRO

it added latency, so it's technically worse than if it's just plugged to a USB

Nah, my Filco does NKRO from USB to PS/2.
I have tested it. Can press every single button on the keyboard at once, and they all individually activate.

DP can't do 144hz

how can the serial protocol in your keyboard that has a max 6KRO, output above that to the converter?

have you tried your same test through USB?

But it literally can. I'm using 2560x1440~144hz freesync.

sure buddy

What? I have it right now at 144Hz.

dp 1.2 or later does

> Convert 128kbit mp3 to flax
> Muh quality gains

It's doing more than 10-key rollover on USB2.0
I'm using Windows10, so maybe it has an NKRO compliant HID driver..

/thread

good one user

PS2 to USB you dumb huns and mongols.

Nah usb to ps2 passive adapters are where it is at.

Old hardware? PS2.

Something recent? USB.

Most modern usb stuff has NKRO now.

Displayport pisses me the fuck off because of how it operates with windows. Until they fix that shit someday, I'm sticking to DVI/HDMI

solder your mouse directly to the cpu pins

VGA

or

HDMI?

YCBPR

Yeah but wireless ps/2 or usb wireless?

>wireless ps/2

Can OP stop asking stupid questions? There's literally a thread for this kind of trash illiteracy.

>PS2 master race reporting in

Spoken like a real Sup Forumsman without any actual knowledge

isnt playstation 4 out now/?

it's not even PS/2, it's AT

mine is ps2

Some keyboards have separate logic for PS/2, most usb PS/2 converters are just rewiring, it wouldn't work without a PS/2 controller inside the keyboard (and indeed it doesn't work with all keyboards).

PS2 wired keyboard
USB wireless mouse
>inb4 gaymers

>try multiple usb keyboard
>keyboard freeze at least 5 times a day
>last key i pressed before the freeze goes in an infinite loop like aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
>have to unplug keyboard to make it stop

Fucking hell my PC is haunted

MOUSE

OR

TRACKPAD

?

Trackpoint.

interesting, that's good to know

PS/2 on my main desktop with a USB mouse. I have a PS/2 to USB adapter if I want to use my mechanical memeboards with other computers.

Trackpad on my iMac and MacBooks, and trackpoint on my Thinkpads and Dell work laptop. Who uses a mouse with a laptop?

If you don't have a Trackball you're subhuman. Please die.
